Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) returns to the screen for another round of supernatural adventures on the high seas in this spirited sequel to the 2003 Disney hit, which re-teams original director Gore Verbinski with original screenwriters Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio. As Will (Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth (Keira Knightley) prepare to exchange vows at the altar, their wedding plans hit rough waters with the arrival of sea-bound scallywag Jack Sparrow. "For all I care, they could have stopped making the 'Pirates of the Caribbean films' right here. Dismally disappointed with the first outing, I figured I'd give this sequel a try in hopes that it would far outdo its predecessor. Well, perhaps my expectations were aimed a little too high, but for whatever it's worth 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest,' allowed for another pleasant nap throughout most of the picture. However, unlike the first film, the footage I did see of this one was blatantly awful, so much in fact, that I didn't bother seeing the third film. Widescreen."

"It is true, this movie is not as good as the 1st one, but it's still part of the trilogy (as far as we know, but there may be more) and it is a good movie, a little bit long, 2.5 hours, but the effects are awesome, Davy Jones is a great character and the music is fantastic. All this, and now in Blu Ray makes this movie worth buying, fan or not, you'll love the visuals, Johnny Depp's performance and the beauty of Keira Knightely."

"Compared to the first movie (Curse of the Black Pearl) this movie isn't nearly as good. However, it's MUCH better than the last movie (At World's End).
However, you can read movie reviews anywhere, here's what I think about how it looks on blue ray.
This movie is worth watching just to see it on BlueRay. It's a beautiful movie in this format and the visual and audio quality alone make it worth watching over and over. Definately worth it in Blue Ray."
