"Story - The Story in GTA IV is a bit deeper than most of the other GTA games that have appeared on home consoles over the past few years. Rockstar decided to put more of an emphasis on the main character's feelings and overall depth of the story. This results in a more enjoyable experience and more of an attachment to the characters than in previous titles like GTA III, Vice City and San Andreas. The story follows the journey of Niko Bellic, an immigrant from Eastern Europe who has come to Liberty City to make a fresh start and find some answers. Niko quickly becomes forced into a gun for hire role in order to make ends meet and keep his cousin Roman out of trouble with Russian gangsters, requiring you to do the usual kill him/her, go steal this missions that are essential to every GTA experience. As always there are plenty of twists and turns in the story to keep you intrigued and coming back for more and the game certainly isn't lacking interesting characters to keep the story going. All in all the story is one that is unrivaled in the GTA series, and while it won't stand up to the more story driven games on the market as anything special in this department it certainly does well in it's own rights."

What's great about it: Storyline, graphics, very realistic gameplay, the city looks alive. What's not so great: It has less activities and possibilities than Saints Row 2.

What's great about it: psychological criminal freedom What's not so great: one person without online connection
"After getting off work knowing that you did your best at being a good person this game allows you to end the day with a blast. You love the freedom of being able to roam around finding thugs to wack and cars to wreck. Laws are made to be broken and this game allows you to definitely break all the laws. Just don't do it at your day job. This game will keep you busy for hours on end."

"This game is one of the best I've ever played. The Liberty City world they have created is enormous and you could spend a lifetime exploring it. There are so many hidden things and interactive features. Plus, the graphics are amazing. Best 3rd person shooter ever. The only bad part is sometimes the missions get monotonous. You get a little sick of having to sneak into a building and shoot 25 guys, steal a bag of cash, and run out the door. However, there are so many that you do end up getting a variety."

"This game is definatly one of the greatest games ever made. It far surpasses all other GTA games and any knock-off. With the amazing gameplay and visuals AND THE HUGE MAP, you can't go wrong. This map is so big sometimes I don't even know where I'm at. My only problem with the GTA series is the lack of creativity but that is very minute, I would just like to make my own "Hero" but they make up for that with the excellent voice acting they fit the characters perfect with the actors. If you don't have a current-gen(or next-gen w.e. you want to call it) console this game alone would be reason enough to buy one. Best video game ever PEROID!"

What's great about it: Excellent gameplay, good story, lots of replay-ability What's not so great: Camera can be a bit quirky, can't quite get the angle I'd prefer while driving
"This is a great game, not one I'd recommend for younger children, obviously for ts mature theme, but a blast for older players. Each vehicle handles in it's own unique way and there's no rushed feel to completing the game if you'd rather just drive, or fly, or pilot a boat around for awhile. The graphics are stunning and the story, while dark, is often humorous. If you don't own this game, you should."

"I enjoyed playing this game. It has good graphics, the controls are easy to pick up and play. If you own any of the other grand theft auto games you really do not need to get this one--they pretty much all seem to be the same. The biggest feature is that you can play this on the ps3 and the graphics are outstanding."

"Great game, another GTA w00t!!!! You can expect the same long, hours of fun game just like the past GTA's. I feel like I've played the game forever and I'm only 11% through it which is totally awesome-a game that never ends lol. The helicopter flying and motorcycle riding by sixaxis is a little difficult but I'm sure it will come easier, the six-axis is a whole new world for all of us playstation vets!! Stop reading this and go buy the game!!!"

greatest game ever

What's great about it: hillarious game play, easy enough to pick up and play out of package What's not so great: language, violence, but this isn't a game for the kiddies
"most fun I have ever had. I laugh uncontrollably during most of the stuff, especially right when I took it out of the package.
Characters are cool, good story line. I have been playing this game for about 3 months now and not done, but something new each time I play it. Good car driving, shooting made easier by auto aim. Sure, I guess it is cheating, but the thing I hate about Halo is the gun aiming. Lets you worry about just beating the mission. It gets hard enough anyways later in the game where the crooks keep coming out of the woodwork.
I bought my PS3 just so I could play this game, and it is well worth the money."

What's great about it: everything you want in a video game What's not so great: a few odd glithes(even with patches)
"GTA 4 is a great video game for those who are into shooting, fighting, cars, flying, swimming, running, stealing and everything that you can do in life(excluding the illegal and bad things). I love playing multiplayer(up to 16 players) and story mode makes you feel like it is really life but on the ps3 system. i would not recommend this game who are against violence in video games and language in video games. whoever does not care about those things, and you are looking for a solid ps3 title, this is for you. there are a few glitches like, when you crash you fly into someother street."
