What's great about it: Works as advertised - good range - works on Linux and PCs too as wireless USB keyboard! What's not so great: 'clip-on' idea not super practical but works okay (can use separate though)
"I got this thumbpad last Christmas and it works great! I admit, I don't use it a ton - however I don't 'chat' with many people via PS3 - mainly use it for PS3 web browsing. It does work as advertised - and to my surprise, even works under Linux on the PS3 as a wireless USB keyboard - and also with my laptop in XP. I usually use it NOT clipped on - as it adds too much 'bulk' to the controller and makes it 'top-heavy' and isn't very practical that way. However works great using as stand-alone to just have beside you on the couch/bed to type something real quick and is small and light-weight. Charge lasts a long time. Bonus that it works on Linux/XP (and many other OS's I'm sure) as wireless USB keyboard - and uses RADIO FREQ (not IR) - so you don't have to 'point' it. Highly recommended."

"After trying bulky wireless keyboards that didnt work for all games. I found this. I was very skeptical about buying it at first, but BOY am I glad I did. It Comes with 2 different controler hook ups. So Make sure you use the right one! Its very easy and Battery last a long time. works with All games so far. even with Internet sites. Takes a bit to get use to when playing, makes the controler feel like and Old school PS2 controler with the added weight. Once you get the hang of texting. You'll love it."

What's great about it: nice, easy to use What's not so great: clip is kind of annoying, but its easier w/ it off, hard to rotate between caps and lower, not blue tooth
"i know that i listed a ton of cons but they are little and dont get in the way. i really love this product, 1 of my favorites. as for the clip not fitting which i saw a couple of people mention, there are two... and they are for different controllers, i recomend reading the instructions if u have difficulty. very nice product, a good buy(but its cheaper at game stop) [20 bucks :)] happy shopping"

What's great about it: Easy to type, Slim, What's not so great: the clip that comes with it doesnt fit
"I love thing thing. i bought it to chat during mlb 08 the show and it has been great. so much easier to talk trash now lol. The only problem i have is with the clear clip that comes with it to hook it up to the ps3 controller. It doesn't fit. Doesn't matter though you dont need it. BUY IT!!!!!!!!!!!"

What's great about it: Makes entering text easy What's not so great: Dosn't work with everything
"The Mad Catz ThumbPad doesn’t work for in game chat, if this is what you’re looking for go with a Bluetooth device. The ThumbPad only works for entering web sites, messages and also entering your credit card info for the online store. This item is quite pricy just for these simple functions that don’t quite cover all the bases."

What's great about it: Great Range, Responsive keys, very convenient What's not so great: Clip kinda sucks but you dont need it.
"This thing is great, Makes life alot easier when it comes to sending messages and surfing the internet. Great for in game text as it is right there on your controller. The clip is kinda bulky but you don't need to use it. I like to keep it next to me off the clip as it's very small and lightweight. The clip is nice for storage."
