"We bought our first flat screen monitor after buying computer at best buy. I'm so happy I bought it cuz it's so much easier on the eyes than a regular monitor. The colors are very nice, and it comes with an updated windows version which like also. Very good for the price. I am fond of HP products. I would recommend."

What's great about it: Bright, slim, sleek, easy to work, vista, love it
What's not so great: sometimes the display drive stops responding, not very loud
"In Feb. I purchased this along with a Compaq presario desktop. So far I love it! The easiest setup ever!! a few plugs in and your on the web! Although, sometimes the screen goes black for only at the most 2 seconds then comes back to where you were. Im not an expert on all the details of computers so im not sure if this is the monitor or the compaq. This doesn't bother me though it doesn't happen often so it really wouldn't enter in to my mind as a con. I do wish the sound would be louder. It is rather quiet even on 100....oh well. I really love this computer things come over very clear and quick. I love the 19 inch screen!! Maybe im so happy with this becuase i used to have a monitor that was about 10 years old! I know it was horrible! Though i did have a dell desktop that was only 2 years old and died. Thats what prompted me to get this one. Really like this though and would recommend! p.s. i only used that nickname becuse everyone i put in was taken! Lol"

What's great about it: Bright, Two connectivity ports, slim, space saving
What's not so great: speakers
"I like it very much, its bright, slim, and saves a lot of space. I upgraded from a 17 inch cathode ray tubes. Speakers can be quite but loud at the same time. I am very satisfied with this monitor"

"I love my new monitor! this is the first one I've had in years because I've always had laptops but omg it's so bright and life like. The pictures show up perfectly. The sound is a drawback though. When its up as loud as it will go it's still pretty quiet. But other than that it's perfect!! I highly recommend this product!"

What's great about it: Very Bright, looks great, space saving
What's not so great: Difficult to plug/unplug VGA and DVI cables without laying monitor on it's back or removing base.
"I bought the monitor for it's price. I had a 17in CRT and the change was welcomed. This monitor is very bright and the dual mode is convenient as I have my PC and XBOX 360 both plugged into it. The speakers are also nice since I use them for the 360. I'm looking at a second PC and I may consider a second HP monitor to go with it."

What's great about it: Great picture, easy set-up, sleek design
What's not so great: High gloss edges leave fingerprints
"We needed a new monitor when our old one(The one with the big alien head design in back) was damaged by movers. We are really happy with this one. The sleek design and amount of space it saves is remarkable!! We are actually happy the movers broke the old one because we would not have probably even looked for an upgrade for monitor since we have two newer laptops in house. I wish sometimes that we had gotten bigger one, but this one had the right price tag. The picture is incredibly clear and vivid. You'll like it if you select. It was between HP & Samsung which were both comparable, HP won because we have always had good experiences with all of their computer products and customer service level."

What's great about it: very sharp, highly defined pictures, elegant design, just the right size
What's not so great: dust can easily be seen due to color (black) and shiny texture
"after a thourough research and comparison with other monitors, this is the best size for your desk, color is very crisp, very defined pictures, sound is perfect (even made better by added speakers). initially bought one for me last nov.07 and my two kids loved its performance that they wanted one each for christmas, hence they did! for the price, cannot be beaten."

What's great about it: Good size, pretty fast, 16:9 ratio. Great for the price
What's not so great: Could be faster.
"I bought this to go along with my new gaming PC. I like it, it's a 16:9 ratio monitor, so it's good for gaming, but it's only 19 in. There's no dead pixels in the one I bought, everything's working fine. It could be a bit faster (Maybe 3ms response time), but it's perfect for the price. I'd recommend this monitor to most of my friends."

What's not so great: Screen died after a week, service call bad
"I bought this after Christmas and the price was awesome for the picture and HP generally are a good product. But I have to differ cause my screen went out after a week after buying this, then the HP Customer Service was difficult to get a hold of and the Best Buy I purchased it needed an Approval Code to fix it or Replace it. I spent almost three days getting the runaround and was enough. I took it back to the store where I purchased it and filed a dispute with My Credit Card. I bought a View Sonic and although the picture is not as good, but it was easier setting up than the HP. You would think that it would just be a plug and play with small adjustments. It took awhile to get it going, but then it got going, for a week that is. HP Support was NO help, and the Store was really sympathetic, as they were caught in the middle, but the Best Buy customer service guy was Very Friendly. I'd buy from Best Buy again but never ever a HP product again."

What's not so great: Text is pixelated, lacks good picture when using other screen sizes
"I bought this monitor about a month ago for my Macintosh computer. I thought the picture and color is generally good. The monitor also does pretty well with displaying black. However when using this monitor to view text, the picture is lacking and moderately pixelated making reading long forms or documents hard on the eyes. Also when I adjusted the screen for smaller picture sizes, the picture became washed out."

"Bought this monitor w/ the HP m8200n pc, i wanted to get the samsung 19" but figured id go w HP to match. This monitor has decent sharp detail and bright colors. The only bad thing it the stand it a little stiff which makes it hard to reposition, requires both hands and a little force. When i took it out of the box i was afraid i was going to break it trying to get the stand on and positioned. Also every so ofter there is alittle interferance looks like its snowing at an angle on the screen but not too noticable, but i think its a loose connection on the back of the pc( corrected by moving the plug around)"
