What's great about it: Great games, Halo, Free demos, Xbox Live, and More What's not so great: no blu-ray
"I bought this console about a month a half ago and works great. Halo is extremly fun online. If I chose between Xbox and Ps3 I would easily choose the Xbox. The blu-ray is nice, but is it worth 200 dollars. Great gaming system."

What's great about it: over all this system has many merits to it. Beyond the sole function of being able to play the brand name games What's not so great: overheating, but thats a given with the amount of power this fine piece of machinery has.
"to further the pro side. Along with being able to play the games designed for the 360 and the select ones from the original xbox you can also watch dvds, and play online via xbox live.
Although there are many additions that can be added to this game system this package deal has everything that you would need for a very decent starting package."

What's great about it: Excellent Interface, improved oover time, best game sellection What's not so great: Red Ring of Death
"The XBox 360 Elite is bar none the best gaming system this generation for hardcore games. Easily trumping the PS3. I on't compare it to the Wii because the Wii (which I also own) is a different animal altogether.
The Xboxs has the best online experience of the consoles and makes playing with friends across the US a breeze. I only wish MS payed this much attention to the Windows Interface.
At present the 360 is the home of phenomenal games and this Fall that continues. Especially after GTA4 and next Final Fantasy 13 pretty much pulled the rug out from under Sony.
The Elite is the second of my xboxs as I also own one of the premium White Boxes. Both are simply great.
However, I have had one encounter with the dreaded Red Ring of Death. Though this was made painless by Best Buy's 2 year replacement plan which got me back up and running the same day it occurred. Worst case you have to contact MS for a free repair. This little snag is the only reason I'm not giving the elite 5 stars.
In short it has the games, the online experience, an ever improving interface, and MS will stand by the product should the red ring of death occur (Though apparently new units don't not suffer from this)."

What's great about it: graphics, lots of game titles What's not so great: red flashing light, poor quality
"The game titles are plentiful andfun, but if your 360 is broken, the games are of no use. Mine broke after 6 months. Just read the reviews about the red ring of death or other hardware failures. Goodle red ring of death or 360 hardware failures. There have been literally millions of broke 360s. I did all this study on it and still bought one for my son to play Halo and now we are both sorry. Microsoft is going to fix it, but who wants to deal with it. I really would not recommend this product. and would probably recommend the PS3, which is reliable and fun and atleast you will be able to play the games you paid good money for. I will stop rambling, but please stay away from this product, you will get burned."

"I had my Xbox for about 1 year and the red rings of death occured. I had to wait over a week for them to ship the papers and it took over a month to ship the new xbox. However it has excelllent graphics and games. If you had to get a PS3 or XBOX, XBOX is the way to go. XBOX supports HD DVD and you can barely tell the difference beetween HD and Blu-Ray. Get a PS3 if you want but youll be spending hundreds of dollars more."

"I recently bought the XBox 360 elite as a birthday present, and it is truely the best purchase I've made. The graphics for most games are intense and when you have an HDTV the games seem so realistic. Plus with the additional hardrive space, the whole family can play and save their various games without fear of losing their progress. It offers so many great features like picture slideshows straight from my computer and camera, and the ability to play my CD's through it in surround sound. This system truely is number one in our house!"

What's great about it: The games available for the XBOX are much better than most of the games available for the Wii and the PS3. What's not so great: The only downside to the XBOX is the lack of a Blu-Ray drive.
"I have owned my XBOX 360 for under a year, and have owned a Nintendo Wii and Playstation 3 in the same time period.
The XBOX 360 is by far the best of the three consoles.

What's great about it: Excellent graphics, user interface, Market place, free demos What's not so great: Sketchy reliability of the systems, sometimes loud fan, HUGE power brick.
"This is my first next generation game console and I am very impressed. However, I am playing on a SDTV so I cannot fully vouch for the HD graphics. What I do see on my TV is still nothing short of excellent. I LOVE the marketplace. The interface is very intuitive and the wealth of products should have something for everyone. They even have old TV shows like 'MTV's The State' on the marketplace. I also love that you can turn the system on and off with the controller. My only grips are the reliability of the system. That's what held me off from getting on for so long. The dreaded Red Ring of Death problem doesn't seem have a solution. Even with the new falcon chips, I've still heard of 360's getting the three rings. The fan is sometimes loud, but way quieter than previous version, still don't expect this thing to be library quiet. Also the power brick is literally that, the thing is large. Great system overall, I highly recommend."

"Xbox 360 is by far the bast gaming console. I owned the premium one before this one the the extra 100 dollars is well worth it. My old one has gotten the ring of death twice, but I have had this one for about 5 months and absolutly no problems, runs nice and quiet and never freezes. Online is always fun with games like Halo3, and gears of war. gotta love it"

"Great system, plenty of games, and endless replay value due to extensive online gaming options. Im not an xbox fanboy by any means but this is a great system and will occupy all your time if you want it to, but red ring of death still rears its ugly head around - thankfully its not as common as it once was but its not fixed yet, maybe in a few more months when the next 360 motherboard revision releases."

"The main differences between this and the white system are color and disk space. This has 100 GB more, which you probably won't need if you don't input many CD's and delete demos or videos every once in a while. Also, not all the accessories come out in black, like the messenger kit or the video kit. All xbox's won't upload songs from your mp3 player, unfortunately. The cost for xbox live is worth it though."

"i got a 360 elite in december and i already got RROD(red rings of death) but i have to say this is one of the best things i ever gotten but im buying an arcade as my replacement but Xbox 360 has alot more great games than PS3 and it aslo have better online gaming so if your thinking about getting a xbox 360 but watch out get a protection plan because you might get RROD"

"The 360's library of games in itself is amazing, but add another 100 gb's of hdd space, you have the ultimate console, you can intergrate it with your media center if you have xp or vista, and download pictures and music, xbox arcade is a very good investment, but only if you have the 120 hdd (the elite) becuase sooner or later your hdd will fill up..."

"I STILL gave this a five and I would recommend this to ANYONE. MAYBE NOT the 120B Elite but the XBox YES DEFINATLY! I also own a PS2 and PS3 40GB and still I DO like the Xbox's Sounds, Games and Graphics BETTER than PS3's. EVEN with the Built-In BD-Ray Player. My suggestion if you have the money get the Xbox FIRS, the Blu-Ray SECOND and the PS3 THIRD....WAIT...FIRST off the PS3 has a VERY good processor for Blu-Ray movies. So IF you Get or HAVE a PS3 FORGET about a STANDALONE player. Unless you got the MONEY, then get the Denon!

"i've had it since christmas, and have loved every minute best game library with halo, gears, and now playstation exclusives are coming to the 360, like unreal tournament 3, and gta 4 after a couple hours i can notice the noise, but barely. i have to not pay attention to the game, or just walk by it and i can hear it, but usauly no noticable"
