THE gaming system to own if you love video games 04/26/2008

What's great about it: Large Hard drive, HDMI cable included in the box! Cooler running motherboard (bye bye RROD!)
What's not so great: I wish the wireless adapter was included. Other than that, nothing!

What's great about it: It has a lot of more space to put music pics and w.e else u wanna put on it to personalize it
What's not so great: well mine did break, but i bought the insurance for it, so all i gotta do now is take it to best buy and get a new one

Worth the Extra Money 04/24/2008

What's great about it: HDMI,Hard drive space, plays DVD's, Links to Media Center!
What's not so great: Cannot play all of the old Xbox games yet, but its getting there.

"This system is definitely worth the extra you'd spend over the 20 Gig system. You will need the extra space, Also, the HDMI capability is great because it will function as your Hi-Def DVD player if you have a HD TV already! One of the best features is the fact that it links up to media center so I can stream my movies and music from my computer(in my room) to my XBOX 360(in my living room). I had assumed this would be a difficult process to figure out but all I had to do was plug it in, turn it on, do the same with my computer, and the console did the rest of the work for me. (I run a Vista platform). This system makes the most sense... Game Console, Hi-Def DVD player, and the ability to stream all my media from my computer ALL IN ONE!"

Best Purchase Ever! 04/22/2008

What's great about it: Better than the rest. Has way more hard drive space.
What's not so great: Nothing.

"If you're in the market for an XBOX 360, this is the best for your money. If you think you don't need the extra memory space, you'll probably regret it when you find out all the things you can do with XBOX Live Marketplace. First off, xbox is the greatest gaming console out there, hands down. I own both the 360 and the PS3. They both have their pros and cons but this is the best for gaming. You won't regret it. Now, if you're looking to watch Hi Definition movies, that's a whole other story....."

Wonderful Entertainment Value 04/22/2008

What's great about it: Lots of great games. Huge Hard Drive!! Incredible Graphics. Xbox Live is awesome!
What's not so great: Dependability problems with some units.

"The Xbox 360 Elite is the best overall entertainment value that I've gotten out of a purchase in quite some time.

Not only can you play a myriad of excellent games,( including Xbox 360 exclusive titles such as the great Halo 3 and groundbreaking Gears of War) but you can play DVDs right out of the box. The first Xbox required you to purchase a DVD playing package, including a remote. This is a great addition.

Also, for only $50 a year you can have full access to the online gaming/digital product purchasing mecca that is Microsoft's Xbox Live. That comes out to a little more that $4 a month. A paltry sum for the quality service that you receive. You may play online against others with Xbox Live, or download the latest demos to try before you buy, or simply do some digital voice chat with a relative with an Xbox 360 that you may otherwise have to call long distance.

The graphics on the system are great, and it's completely HD ready, if you've made the leap in TV technology. It can display in all major resolution formats.

Also, especially if you are into first person shooter type games,(i.e. Call of Duty, or Halo, Quake) the controller is the absolute best for these applications. The same games are a TOTAL chore to play on the Playstation 3. What make this control better is the offset analogue control sticks that allow you to move both independently without fear of running your thumbs into each other. A huge design bonus to this control!! Also, the control happens to be more ergonomically designed to fit comfortably into an adults hand than others are, though I've never seen a child have a problem with it either.

I also like the fact that this Elite version comes with a standard 120gig hard drive. It makes it so easy and fast to store many huge files, and cache game files for faster load times and fewer stutters in framerates.

My only complaint is that this version of the system still has the problems with the ROD (Ring of Death) syndrome that the other versions of the Xbox 360 do, and may eventually fail on you. Apparently on some of the latest runs of the product some of these issues have been addressed, but not all of them. Because of this fact, I recommend something that I usually don't with electronics. BUY THE EXTENDED WARRANTY FROM BEST BUY, or whomever you make your eventual purchase from. Microsoft does have a 4 year manufacturer's warranty, but you have to send it into them and wait for a few weeks to a month and a half to get back your refurbished system. If you buy the warranty from Best Buy, you can just walk in and get another, THAT DAY. The warranty will set you back a few more bucks, but it's totally worth it in my book. I've already had to take it back once, and have had it for only 6 months. However, despite this potentially large shortcoming, and the fact that the system does not currently support Blu-Ray playback technology, this is still the best that the current game generation has to offer.

You can't go wrong, assuming you've got the dough. But, even at the somewhat hefty pricetage, you're still not dishing out as much as for a PS3.

Outstanding gaming console 04/22/2008

What's great about it: Largest hard drive space. HDMI cable avalible out the box.
What's not so great: accessories limited like wireless headset hard to come by in elite form.

"Like I said in the title this is outstanding gaming system. Avalible HD gaming right out the box. One of a kind slim sleek black color. 120 Gigs of hard drive to download tv shows, music videos even long lasting gaming demos. If your a gamer IE an adult or young adult this is the console for you. Has the largest variety of mature games and everyone games. The best thing is I never had any problems like a red ring of death in wich the console broke on me. This is due to the elite model coming out after the original 360's. Only problem with this system is no built in HD DVD player. The accessories are hard to find in black for the elite model. If you are a big gamer though this is the perfect system to own."

What's great about it: Sizeable hard drive; plenty of USB ports; wireless control; etc
What's not so great: If price is an issue, you may want to get an XBox with a smaller hard drive

"I have had a lot of fun with this next generation system. The ability (with XBox Live) to play friends accros the globe is amazing! I am constantly impressed with the graphics and quality of the games. I constantly download content for those games that I really enjoy. This feature makes it easy to justify paying so much for a system/games/downloads; this just adds to the replay-ability!"

Best Gaming Console Available 04/21/2008

What's great about it: Comes with everything you need for HDMI, Component, or SD.
What's not so great: None.

"I bought this Xbox because of the HDMI port. I will never game on anything less from now on. I got my Xbox 360 Elite the day it came out and have had no problems with it yet. I have the NEW NYCO fan on the back (not the old plastic one, those melt) and I have had no overheating issues or anything. The extra memory has come in handy as well. I have full seasons of t.v. shows AND full length movies as well as all of my saved games and downloadable content (I play a lot.) and I haven't even come close to running out of memory. If you are thinking about an Xbox 360. Just get the Elite. Trust me. It's worth every penny."

"For hardcore gamers this is the best system you can buy right now for all around entertainment for the price. It has the best hardcore games out right now. It has awesome media connectivity. When connected to your home network you can stream video and music to your home theater. This is the best purchase I've made for overall entertainment in a long time."

What's great about it: Amazingly fast and versatile. Great games available. Good controls and wireless system. Great all in one deal.
What's not so great: Prone to hardware malfunction.

"I purchased my own 360 Elite in December, but I have been using one since my friend purchased one on the first day. The games for it look amazing and are always great to play. Amazing online play. The only downside is that a few XBox 360's my friends have had have failed. They are always repaired quickly and come back just like new."

X Box 360 Elite 04/20/2008

What's great about it: Massive storage, great graphics, lots of good games
What's not so great: Very loud, AC/DC box power cord loose

"The Xbox 360 elite is a great product. I've had mine for close to a year now, and I'm still in love with it. Compared to the Nintendo Wii, it doesn't have quite as many few games, but it blows the PS3 out of the water. If and when the Xbox 360 comes out with a blue ray adapter rather than a HD dvd player, I think Microsoft will be set. Very good game play, and the charge and play battery system is very convenient. Playing on a HDTV makes the game play even better. Although this gaming system is very loud, all you gotta do is crank the volume a bit on the TV and your good to go. My most recent games played are PGR4 and Rainbow six vegas 2, and they play flawlessly on this system. I'd definatly recommend it. The extra 120 gb hard drive allows you to store loads of media, and its overall just a very good machine."

"The elite has great graphics and fantastic sound. The extra storage allows you to burn cds and photos onto your elite without any problems. The USB ports are also nice for ipod hookup (it's nice to listen to your own music while playing). The black also goes great with most other electronics."

If you get one...Get this one. 04/20/2008

What's great about it: Way more memory and faster processor, not to mention its black.
What's not so great: Higher priced...but worth it

"This is the way to go if you are in the market for an Xbox 360. The Elite has WAY more memory then the other models of 360. In the beginning I thought...What am I going to do with all this memory. I have a lot left, don't get me wrong, but I have used more then the other models come with.
I have played and do own the other platforms of gaming systems as well, and the 360 is my favorite to play. The controls are very ergonomic and the graphics and speed are incredible."

"This product is pretty awesome, I have both the 360 and the PS3 and the amount of games on the 360 is impressive. Xbox live is good but I think it is a double edged sword. You have to pay a monthly or yearly subscription fee but also almost everything on Xbox Live costs money as well. I hate how much they nickel and dime you. Also there is no WiFi or Bluetooth included in the packaging. You have to buy a hundred dollar adapter to get WiFi."

What's great about it: So much memory!
What's not so great: A little pricey!

"My husband asked for an Xbox 360 for Christmas, boy did I have no idea I had to figure out which was best. Well I did my research (thanks again BEST BUY) and found out that even though it was pricier the Elite would be the best way to go. Well almost five months later and it's still the best choice. I later started hearing about people buying to basic units and having to send them back or buy more memory. Not Us! My husband has enough room for all of his twelve games and I have room for my arcade and one game. Even to accesories are great. Definitely have recommended it to a lot of people and will continue to do so."

#1 Game Console Out There 04/20/2008

What's great about it: Too Many List, ITs Black, 120GB Hard Drive, HDMI

"I already had an Xbox 360 the white edition in my home. So you are probably asking why buy the elite. Well first it comes black so it looks very nice with my other equipment in my living room. Second it has an HDMI output to give you better sound quality and picture. Last but not list the extra space on the hard drive. My only pet peeve is that it does not have wi-fi, that it would make the system perfect, but I am okay I purchased the adaptor to make be able to connect to my network.

Purchase this system or any other xbox console the online experience is 10 times better and easier to manager and maneuver around.

Trust me I have all three consoles, the one I use the most is my Xbox 360.

Play on Gamers."

What's great about it: HDMI built in 120 gig hard drive
What's not so great: not all accessories can be found in black :-D

"This is by far the best 360 you can buy and the fact that there is an HDMI port built into the 360 and you get a free HDMI cable is a great value. Also since you get a 120 gigabyte hard drive is nice so you can save all your demos and other downloaded content. Also aesthetically the black looks very nice and is a nice change from the every day white console."
