What's great about it: fast and black case What's not so great: a little loud while running
"obviously this system is pretty awesome. It's the big boy of the line. Lots of space for downloads and game saves, and It's Black! It has a bit more in the way of processing power, but that technology makes heat, and heat is bad. To counter this, they have put in a very efficeient fan.. however that fan is a bit loud. I had two systems side by side, and i didn't knot the Arcade one was even on.. it was so quiet. Beyond that, everything else if great. Very smooth and fluid graphics (this is a VIDEO gaming system, so this is importaint). if you don't need the extra Hard Drive space, the New premium systes might be the way to save a little cash, and still get a nice system however.. but it is also white.."

What's great about it: A quick, easy-to-use interface, AWESOME for use as a Windows Media Center extender What's not so great: $$, but worth it
"I've had this game system for ~4-5 months now and can't imagine my living room without it. I bought it mainly for use as a Windows Media Center (WMC) extender, and it is fantastic at it's job. Quick to connect to my computer via my network and flawlessly plays my recorded tv, plays my music and other videos without a problem. WMC has a "internet tv" and it's very cool for videos and news, still needs some work though as it pauses because of the streaming issues I've noticed at my place and a friends house. Only have a one game for the system (Halo 3) because I'm not really a gamer, BUT the quality is fantastic and I'm very impressed.
And although HD DVD is on it's somewhat "death bed," the add-on I bought a few days after I got the 360 is great (wish it had come in black to match the Xbox) and love the HD quality via 360. With Blu-Ray taking over, I'm looking forward to the day MS announces a Blu-ray add-on, I'll be first in line. Until then, I'll enjoy my ~25 HD DVDs and 300 SD dvds.
Love the Xbox Live marketplace, semi-HD quality (720 vs optimal 1080), but hate the "points" system versus $. Wish it'd be a little more easy to use.
Main point is this system is great!"

What's great about it: easy for new gamers
"360 is great, but when elite bundle came out you got the 120 GB hard drive and the HDMI cable both for $100. I got the holiday version that came with Forza 2 and Marvel Ultimate Alliance, so instant gaming out of the box without an additional $60 for a game. Has titles available for my entire family from my 3yo to my wife, we have all found something to play!"

"This will be my 6th system since its launch, 4 pro models with the ring of doom and then upgraded to the elite. this will be my 3 elite system in the last 6 months the last won was bought on Dec. 4,both have had the disk drive break on them, they wont read any disks. Dont know what the problem is. My roomates have had thers for just as long and have had now problems them at all, so it maybe just bad luck! I love the sytem the games are great and you cant beat xbox live, but diffinetly get the warrenty plan its well worth the 80 dollars for the elite system.only problem is finding one in stock to replace it with since it seems many other people are waiting also. could be in for a long wait with out a system!!!!"

"The Elite is the way to go. It looks better and anybody that sees it knows you got the best of the best. I like the big hard drive in that I set it to automatic downloads and don't have to worry about the drive getting full. Pay the extra money and get this system."

"I love it, it is wonderful! No red ring of death for me, but I am having trouble, it won't play Halo 3. The color is great, the 120 GB hard drive is completely awesome. The gameplay is great, and it looks great in 1080i. I would definitely tell people to buy this if they need the extra storage and just want black instead of white."

"The Xbox 360 elite is the number one next gen. gaming system. With amazing graphics and online game play, this and all of the other 360 consoles are the sure escape for your next day off. The Elite however comes with a 120 GB hard drive, an ethernet cable for online play,your very own Xbox live headset, two cables for those AMAZING HD graphics, and its finished off with a black cover. I mean seriously, who ever heard of a white Xbox! Overall this rating is not enough, the Xbox 360 elite deserves more than a perfect score. Just help yourself, go buy this console!"

"I am an XBOX kind of guy so, for me, this is an excellent purchase. I fully utilize the extra hard drive space (120GB) and I love all the extras that come with it; the HDMI cables included are excellent on our 60" Pioneer plasma. The gaming selection is undeniably better than any other HD gaming system out there. The XBOX LIVE is spectacular and the interface is simple and accessible. Unfortunately, with most of the XBOX 360 units, my console had the red ring of death as well. No biggie though it's all fixed now, Microsoft takes care of their customers."

"The Elite is the prefered Xbo360 system to choose as it has the biggest hard drive available, great color scheme, and HDMI hookup. Has great parental conrols to make sure your children are playing the appropriate games as well as length of time they spend on it. Though with a lot of Pros that this system offers it does have it's share of Cons as they tend to breakdown with the popular "Red Ring of Death". It does produce a lot of heat so the fans are working extra hard to keep the system cool so the noises it makes are pretty distracting at times. Other then the fans this system provides an endless amount of entertainment for all ages."

What's great about it: Controller is good and battery powered w/AA batteries What's not so great: loud graphics are not that great
"It is very loud. I don't even think it has multiple fan settings. It getts annoying trying to concentrate on a game. Graphics don't stream line as well the PS3. You would think HDMI would be better for the system, no. The componet cable hook up is a better way to go. Not sure where they went wrong with that. Not sure if it just me (spent some time making it work) I can't seem to find a way to change the controller from 2nd to 1st or 1st to 2nd. I had to reset the system and have the controller (Edge Stick) plugged in and on first. Didn't like the menu screen at all. PS3 is much easier to navigate through and customize. You are better off with a PS3 than a 360. Either way you look at the Elite is the 'Upgrade' version for the 360 yet it doesn't help. I will hold on to it for Ace Combact and Halo. Other than that it PS3 for me. There are other games to replace those though. But I already have them."
