What's great about it: Good graphics, wireless remotes, easy to use
What's not so great: gets very hot, does not work sometimes, tempermental butons on console
"The Xbox 360 is an overall good system. When in HD mode, the graphics are amazing. It also has a very good selection of games. There are a couple of things, although. When the disk tray is open, the button to close it causes it to jam up. Also, one day while I was playing, it turned off and the green lights on the console turned red. I restarted it and it ran fine, but it is disconcerting for a very expensive piece of machinery to stop working. I would only reccomend this to a friend if they are into video games, but if you wouldn't use it that often, don't get it."

What's great about it: The Xbox 360 Elite has a lot of memory and has lots of good games you can buy for it.
What's not so great: Doesn't catch wireless, unless you buy a wireless adapter.
"The xbox 360 Elite has a lot memory for media, you can also sync your xbox with your windows media center. The xbox has a lot of good games for it and lets you sync your zune with the xbox."

Great system not so great durability

What's great about it: Best system out there with more users for online multiplayer games
What's not so great: Durability issues are quite annoying but MS seems to replace units quickly
"By and large this is the best system out there with the best console exclusive games. It also has the largest pool of players for multiplatform games that have an online multiplayer component. LIVE functionality is a model for the industry regardless of the token of the price. Only issue for me would be durability I had a first gen system that crapped out within a month, and I had an elite that recently got the infamous 3 rings. Both were replaced within two weeks and warranties were extended as MS has stated- both were shipped receieved and returned at no cost to me."

Aweful Game System

What's great about it: Online gaming and arcade games
What's not so great: Everything else
"Xbox360's are aweful for what you pay for them. Set one next to a PS3 and the PS3 comes out on top in just about every category. The 360 doesn't have Blue Tooth, Blu Ray DVD player, or even wireless internet (if you want wireless internet you gotta drop another $100 on an adapter). The ONLY reason I own one is because I bought it for dirt cheap from a friend(he didn't like it either). The only thing I like about the 360 is some of the arcade games you can download, like Geometry Wars and Castle Crashers. Other than that these things are junk."

What's great about it: Everything, when it works
What's not so great: My 4th console just went out!!!
"XBOX 360 online gaming is great. The consoles are all junk. I just lost my 4th one and it was an Elite. And the bad thing is I am not a heavy gamer. These things didn't have tons of hours on them or get abused. I have never encountered a product of this poor quality. I am done!

What's great about it: everything
What's not so great: nothing so far other than the fact that on live u need to download patches just to play the old xbox games
"so far i like this system a lot, came with a lot of merchandise for the money, i got the elite with the 2 games included, i just bought it oct 21 from best buy and i got the 2 year protection plan on it just in case it acts up. so far so good on this system. everything is working like it should and the games have very good graphics on it. i signed up for xbox live silver and got a 1 month subscription to the gold membership. easy setup it was. very nice it is but i dont like the fact u have too purchase almost everything just to get any real enjoyment out of it on live. silver is free but to download anything u have to get the gold membership."

What's great about it: fun to play, excellent graphics, easy to use, good games, play with friends
What's not so great: over heats way too easily, freezes,(addictive) JK
"I got this on my 13th birthday. I was so happy. It worked fine when i got and a month or so after. Then i got online and it started freezing. I thought it was our router. It wasnt. It had been over heating so i stopped playing for a bit. When i would play halo i would attackor beat down somebody i would hit them but they werent actually their. I woul then die. After that the only game i could get to work online was turok. Then IT HAPPENED!!!!!! I got 2 red rings. We tried replacing the HDD but it still wouldnt work. We took it back to Best Buy and we got a new one. Then a day later RROD!!!!! I was upset. IT was the HDD. I diddnt want to lose all my data so i got a PS3. No problems with that.(sorry xbox people)"

"i had an xbox elite about 5 months ago and i like it until i had the ring of death. the 360 itself before the ring of death gave me too much complications like for example it would freeze all the time and the baddest thing is that there is no blu- ray"

What's great about it: Awesome Games, and Awesome Graphics
What's not so great: HD DVD Player no use, and wireless net not included
"Awesome gaming unit and always has great games coming out. However since the triumph of Blu Ray the HD DVD Player is obsolete and dvds no longer out. You also have to buy the wireless adapter for the unit itself to us the Xbox Live feature wirelessly or have to plug the ethernet cord in."

What's great about it: cool looking, endurable, deal
What's not so great: looks sort of green and chalky
"I saw this at my cousins house when I went over and gave it a comparison to my regular xbox 360.
The original ( O as I call it )sometimes makes a terrifying screech as it turns on.
The elite ( E as I call it )does not.
The E is proven by microsoft to able to withstand more heat thus meaning less red rings of death.
My O had the red ring of death three times
The E comes with a 120 gb hard drive
The O comes with a 20 or 60 gb hard drive
The E can have either very fast downloads or very slow downloads.
The O is consistent with a decently fast download rate
They both have 1 controller and 1 headset and 1 hd component cable.
ITS YOUR CHOICE NOW."

"Great value, especially at the lower price point. <knock-on-wood> I've had no problems with mine and us it fairly frequently. My wife and daughter are also starting to enjoy it for the TV show downloads and Xbox Arcade"

What's great about it: great graphics sweet online play and lots of options on dashboard
What's not so great: red ring of death, a scratched game screws up the system, some lag in online play
"when i thought to get a 360 i thought it would function better than my original xbox. I was wrong. My old xbox could take a scratched disc and just say it was unreadable but when i put in a nonscratched disc it worked fine. on the 360 it says unreadable then when you put in another game it doesnt even read it it just says to open disc. The games and the other parts of the game are great but with the RED RING of death its not really worth the money or to ship it out to Texas for a month and pay 100 dollars. I like the console but if you want one go for the Arcade or Core system because they can save you money. Also get the warranty too."

What's great about it: Looks cool, runs much quieter than earlier XBOX360 Pros
What's not so great: Headset is cheap and not as good as the pro one
"This is a very nice set. The Elite has a 120 GB hard drive that really is nice compared to the wimpy 20 or 60 gb models below it. It seems to run much quieter and cooler than the older XBOX360 we had. The controller also has a snappier feel to it. However, the headset connector and mic seem a LOT flimsier than the white one that comes with the Pro models. Really the only weak spot in the package, which is unfortunate since everything else is so great."

What's not so great: Need an HDTV to get the best graphics picture.
"I'm 60 years young and I bought the XBox 360 at Best Buy for my grandchildren to play when they come over to keep them busy. I watched them play for hours and
couldn't believe their skill levels.
One day while browsing at Best Buy I decided to buy an
XBox game rated for an adult. Well good lord did I ever find another hobby! I play now after a difficult day at the office just to wind down and sometimes before bed.
