What's great about it: NONE
What's not so great: Does not work for long
"This is the WORST phone system I have EVER spent my HARD earned Money on!!!! The chargers will not charge after a few months.(I have had this JUNK for 7 mos.)
There is NO< NO< NO< range on the handsets, can't even walk out the door with one, it goes dead. says return to base. And it sets just inside the door. Out of the 4 handsets I had only 2 of them work now. What did I get for my money? JUNK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"This amazing foursome of phones is without question the best in the business. You can always hear the other person and the words when you pick up the phone such as New Voice Mail can always be read. I have never had a problem with these amazing phones and I hope that you don't either. Panasonic really is a very good company!"

What's great about it: multi-featured, clear sound, phone to phone intercom
What's not so great: no backlit dial
"These have been great phones. Many nice features with good distance and clarity. Easily expandable up to six handsets. I especially like the ability to check the answering machine from any of the handsets (could not do this with my old previous phone) and the ability to call another handset as a sort of intercom system. I had been thinking of getting a home intercom system to "connect" different areas of the house but I think this phone will serve that purpose as well :)"

"This phone is junk. I have owned it for a little less than a year. The sound quality is so poor that it is virtually useless. At first the phone seemed OK but after several months the audio began to get full of static. This phone will be going in the garbage and I will be looking for a new one and you can bet it will not be a Panasonic."

Great Phones - Amazing Price

What's great about it: Battery Life, Clarity, Functions
What's not so great: Lighted buttons would be nice, but not critical
"I love these phones... clear, long battery life and 4 handsets for around $100. How can you beat that? Panasonic has always made great telephones. These feature a lot of the things your use to on your cell phone. Battery life indicator (rather than guessing like the old days), etc. Like the intercom too. Features for the $$$ can't be beat. No interference from wireless router, etc. The number buttons don't light up. That would be nice, but I really don't need that. Many Panasonic 5.8's have the lighted buttons, but Im glad I didn't make that a dealbreaker and chose this great DECT 6 package. You'll love it."

Outstanding Quality & Features

"I bought this Panasonic cordless phone set, with multiple handsets for my elderly, disabled Dad. He and his wife never seemed to be in the same room with a phone, when it rang, and they've never fully-embraced "let the answering machine get it" - so they would hurry to answer, only to miss the call anyway. This multi-handset arrangement is perfect! Not only does every room now have a phone, but I was able to put them within arms reach, since only the base unit needed to be connected to a phone line. Best of all, the quality of the sound, readability of the keys and display, and the adjustable volume, additional ring-tones and ease of use, are all factors in how wonderful this has been for my Dad. He's very grateful, as am I, for this quality product by Panasonic - a name that's on many of the electronics we have in both our homes. I highly recommend this phone set!!"

"I love this new system! Plusses include enough phones to go around, including the garage. Very pleased with the intercom system, which is very handy to have when the person in the garage needs to pick up the phone. The speakerphone isn't the best, but not the worst, either. I like having the number storage system. This phone has almost as many options as a cell phone does.
I'm very happy with it."

What's not so great: Poor Speakerphone Quality
"In search of a cordless phone that actually has a usable speakerphone... Had high hopes as Panasonic makes good electronics. After testing the speakerphone on calls to several colleagues at various locations, I am taking this phone back (btw-used two different handsets). All reported my voice breaking up badly and the volume very low.
If you don't need the speakerphone then by all means consider this phone -- otherwise stay away."

"Perfect for use if you are using a wireless network for your internet. Dect band on this phone is the only one I have used so far that has NOT interfered with my wireless internet. Talk time and reception are better than past cordless phones I have used."

What's not so great: keys not lighted; answering machine does not show how many messages are waiting;
"We replaced a older set of phones. These Panasonics work fine - the voice is clear. However, there are several annoying features. The keypads are not lighted making it difficult to dial in a darkened room and to find the talk button to answer at night. Also, the answering machine does not have any indicator to tell you how many messages are present. To illustrate, if you come home and the phone message button is lit up, when you press the play button it may say 'two new messages'. After you listen to those messages, you may want to erase them. But you have no idea whether there were prior stored messages that had already been played by someone else in the family. So, if you either have to press 'erase all' and jeopardize losing messages that you haven't heard or you have to back up and play messages one by one."

"Purchased in October 07, I've found nothing wrong with this phone system so far. The sound is good, the battery life is good, the menu is easy to use. Just charge the phones up initially overnite and begin using them the next day! You'll love it. I also like the design as well, very sleek! Also comes with 4 individual clips for transporting, nice! Get it! Fast!"

What's great about it: Has a nice look and great phone book
What's not so great: Poor talk time
"I purchased this phone for it looks, features and the main reason that I purchased it was that it was suppose to have a 10-hour talk time. I have found that not to be the case. Now I can't even get more than one handset to recharge. This phone was purchased 9/1/07 and I expected to get better results then I have been getting with this phone. Now I will have to either purchase new batteries or a new phone. I prefer the later because I can not afford to purchase new batteries every month. I have owned Panasonic phones in the past and have been very happy with them. But this has to be the worse phone that I have ever owned."

What's great about it: Backlit display on hand sets are easily readable.
What's not so great: No speaker phone in base unit -- only in handsets.
"I love this phone system! Our house is a bit spread out with electronics all over, yet we have a clear signal to/from the base unit from anywhere in the house or our yard. (which I admit is rather small)
The display is a good size and has fairly large font. The light amber-ish backlight color makes the text much easier to read than with the conventional green background. I no longer need my reading glasses to read the caller ID on incoming calls! The larger rubberish number keys are also a plus.
Each phone keeps an exclusive phone book so everyone can maintain their own listings without messing up the books of others on the system."

What's great about it: Great voice quality, relatively good value, 4 handsets, easy setup
What's not so great: No talking caller ID
"Most of my house phones are from Panasonic and this one is so far probably the best I've used. The voice quality is excellent with no interference from my wireless network. The DECT is a definite improvement from my old 2.4 ghz unit. Overall, this was an excellent value and I would definitely purchase it again if I needed another set."

Good wireless phone

What's great about it: Clear, no interference, built in speakerphone, can add more extensions
What's not so great: Menu is not intuitive, adds a "1" to local numbers on caller id
"This phone works well, and has good voice quality. The menus are not really intuitive (I had to get out the manual for several functions). The menus (scrolling through caller id history, for instance) are a little sluggish/slow to respond. I am annoyed by all calls having a 1-xxx-xxxx format in the caller id (even from local numbers). If you pull up your missed calls and just click "TALK" to call the number back, the phone will dial a 1+number (like a long distance call). The manual tells you how to "fix" this issue (you're supposed to be able to prevent the "1" from showing up in front of local numbers), but it hasn't really worked for me. Overall, however, it has been a good phone. I haven't had it very long, and will likely get these little "kinks" worked out over time."
