The Highs and Mids were crystal clear, but I was pretty disappointed about the bass output. For the price I paid I had expected more. If your looking for headphones with decent bass i would not recommend these..

i bought these headphones and im amazed about the quality i listen to my music and it makes me think that im there live at the concert.
What's great about it: every thing
What's not so great: fall out of ears some times

I was very satisfied with these earbuds. For someone that's looking for sound quality these are a great buy, but i am looking for earbuds with bass output. Unfortunately, these are lacking in that one area. I will end up buying a different pair, but I would most definetely recommend these to someone who's looking for clarity. At first i thought it was the seal that wasn't working for me, but even when i held them in tightly the bass was just not strong enough for me.
What's great about it: Highs and Mids are outstanding, lots of accessories, 2 year warranty
What's not so great: Bass is there, but it's just not enough for my taste, just couldn't find the right seal.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I read a review before buying these headphones that said they were the most evenly balanced of any of the new line of SE Shure headphones. Apparently they are pretty comparable to the E4s from last year, but hold a much more moderate price point. Sure, some people may look at the cost of these headphones and balk, but they are (once you get used to wearing them) by far the most comfortable pair of performance buds that I have ever owned. It simply takes your ear canal a day or two to get accustomed to wearing a foam bud that literally fits inside, but once it does, you could fall asleep with them on and rest for hours without waking up. I have used them when my housemates are having a party and they immerse me in soft silence.
Everything that Shure advertises about this product is true. They block 90-something percent of all exterior sounds, give piercing highs, and smooth, punchy bass. These headphones use highly efficient drivers; I am afraid to turn my iPod up over 75% volume for fear of damaging my ears when wearing this product - the headphones are that sensitive.
Once again, you'll want to give them a few days to get used to them. When you first walk with them in you'll notice that you can hear your footsteps vibrating your bones and your ears will often tickle when you take them out. Also, you'll want to clean your ears out and the foam sleeves every now and then. But, once you've gotten used to them I'm sure you'll love them as much as me.
I chose these over the Bose headphones that Best Buy offers and I'm very pleased with my selection.

crystal clear...you will hear things you did not with these. Great noise cancelling and the bass is just right. Has tweeters and woofers built in
