What's great about it: It heats
What's not so great: poor quality
GE used to be synonymous with quality - not any more. I replaced an older GE Profile with the current GE Profile only because it is built into my cabinet. The older one had a heavy guage steel trim kit, the new one bent when I accidentally dropped it. The film covering the inside of the door window is bubbled. You must put your finger exactly in the middle of the opening button to open the microwave. The turntable gets hung up - probably because the arm to turn it is cheap plastic.
The older trim kit had vents on the bottom and the outside covered the entire cabinet face. The new trim kit has cut outs on the sides so when you are walking into the kitchen you see the sheet metal and unfinished wood inside the cabinet.
The ONLY plus is it heats.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: cooking ablitiy
I have had my Mircowave for about 6 months now and Love it. My food defrosts more evenly than my last one did. Cooks more quickly and more evenly.
I would recommend this to a friend!
