What's great about it: Everything
What's not so great: It's not Cisco/Linksys
I only use (the most reliable) Cisco/Linksys products for my home LAN. But when I couldn't find one, I had to go with D-Link
Works perfect with Cisco-Linksys WRT310N Wireless-N Gigabit Router (WRT310Nv1)

What's great about it: Very simple to use and good signal strength
What's not so great: Nothing thus far
I bought this card on recommendations from some Network technicians at work in order to make my old desktop system (Dell 8400) wireless so my kids could use it. While I did not install it due to other unrelated issues with that desktop, the whole thing was up and working in a matter of hours. I expected some problems with this and was pleasantly surprised that it worked extremely well with my Netgear Wireless-N router.

What's great about it: Setup is Simplified, Works as it should

I've always wanted my mother to have hi-speed internet. I know it cost some money to have that but there had to be another way. I had bought a wireless G card from Netgear before but it would only work if the desktop was at the window. I didn't like it. After reviewing the Dlink Xtreme Wireless N card, it was my last hope. I installed it yesterday on the 26th. I have to say it is the best investment I have ever made. This Wireless Desktop card is absolutely worth the money. It gets great signal and yet it's the best there is today. Wireless N is the way to go. I have this card installed on my mother's EMachine. That's right. This cheap computer is able to support this wireless card. Plus the fact that it is running on Windows Vista 32 bit (64 bit too). So I just pretty much showed you it's compatible with Vista, even though it doesn't say that here. So yeah that's pretty much it for now. I will add more to this review cause I plan to test Xbox Live with it. So look out for that. Go buy one yourself. It's a great product.

What's great about it: Wireless of course
What's not so great: Setup may cause headaches if you are a novice with wireless setup
I recently switched to a wireless network at home using the D-Link Extreme N Gaming Router DGL-4500.
The first thing I bought was a USB adapter (Netgear WN111) and that only took a few minutes to get setup and connected ot the internet on my laptop.
I obviously had to get this shipped since it isn't being carried in stores.
The hardware installation was easy. However, the software installation was not. I had several failed attempts when using the Windows Zero Configuration Utility as my option, so I ended up selecting "No" for that so I could use the D-Link Utility.
I still had no success in establishing a connection. So I opened up Conenction Manager from the system tray and viewed "My Wireless Networks" and noticed I was using WPA2-PSK when I was supposed ot be using WPA-PSK. Upon swithing to that I was able to establish a wireless connection and disconnect the ethernet cable.
It all works smoothly now.
Once again, I am just a novice with wireless networks, but this process also helped me learn quite a bit.
I would recommend this to a friend!
