What's great about it: lots of preloaded maps
What's not so great: comes with car charger only
"I tried a few differnt gps systems and this garmin is my fav. by far. I did in fact show it off to some friends and two of them now have this model. if your like me and hate asking for directions this this is for you"

What's great about it: Very Easy to use, nice screen size, Love that it's so thin
What's not so great: Keyboard layout could be improved (but is common to most GPS units I've encountered). Searches could be improved.
"Overall a very nice unit. Most of the times, searches for places come up as I expect them to. On occasion I've found the searching capability not comprehensive enough. A particular movie theater I go to doesn't show up in the search results at all even though it's the largest one in the area. I've found smaller shops and restaurants that I wouldn't have expected to so it's probably not a very common thing to not find a theater that large, but it's definitely caused me not to rely on it as heavily as I'd hope."

What's great about it: Large screen, loud voice, quick response
What's not so great: directions could be a little better
"After having a Magellan Roadmate 1200 (what a mistake this was!), having a gps of this quality is a blessing! My old gps took forever to recalculate if I missed a turn or made a wrong turn (by the time it recalculated, I was already past the road it would have sent me down). I purposely took wrong turns with the Garmin and the corrections were almost instantaneous. I also like the fact that you can set the screen image to a night time setting. This is particularly good if the screen is being glared upon by the sun. The volume can be heard over my stereo and a larger screen gives me the chance to look at the map without squinting. The directions could have been written a little better, but the good definately outweighs the bad. I highly recommend this gps!"

What's great about it: Easy to use, easy to view due to wide screen, great battery life, simple controls - anyone can use it!
What's not so great: Cord can be bothersome when plugged in.

What's great about it: Larger screen for easier reading of map
What's not so great: Does not announce street names
"Purchased this unit recently because I wanted a larger screen that would be easier to use. This unit works great except it does not announce street names like the Nuvi 240W. This is fine for me while driving in a loud environment I can't hear the street names anyway. Garmin also seems to be much easier to use than the TomTom or Magellan."

What's great about it: large screen, easy to use
What's not so great: can't find a case that will fit, that isn't really large and bulky
"this Garmin is very easy to use and the large screen is easy enough to see without my reading glasses so while in the car that's a big plus.
Not all adresses will show up and locating satellites sometimes takes a while, but that is not a Garmin problem."

What's great about it: Big Screen; Easy Operation;Many Options;Speaks SEVERAL Languages; Displays Current Vehicle Stats - Speed, Time Traveled,
What's not so great: Takes too long to acquire satellite signal
"Got this Nuvi 200W as a father's day gift from my 2.5 yr old son! He got a little hint on what I wanted. Anyhow, product is just awesome! Very easy to operate, cool wide screen for better viewing, fast at updating route when necessary. Speaks several languages that are not typically common on gadgets. Would definately recommend the companion dash bean bag mount, that way you don't get the ring on your windshield from the suction cup, and increase the threat of getting your car broken into. The bean bag mount didn't even flinch when taking sharp turns, or driving on bumpy roads. Overall, GPS highly recommended for easy operation and affordable price."

"I tried this in Houston this past week. It helped me out in some areas and worked poorly in others. It took me an extremely long route to one destination. Print out maps and take along with you don't always just rely on this."

What's great about it: Detailed directions makes it very hard to get lost. The light weight and slim design makes it easier to carry.
What's not so great: When you are going to turn it on and you are in a wooded area, it takes a while for the signal to come through.
"The Garmin Nuvi 200W is a really great device. It makes travel so much less stressful knowing that you will not get lost. No need to purchase other brand name navigation systems, Garmin is the best way to go. Worth the price.
Also uploading pictures on it is so easy and downloading new vehicles from garmin.com is a snap also. This device does a lot more then finding your way out of a wrong turn!"

What's great about it: Great visibility of unit, easy to use, loud speaker
What's not so great: Doesn't say actual street names
"Let me first start off by saying the con in my list is an extremely small con. While the unit doesn't say "Turn left on Michigan Ave" it does say "Turn left in 200 ft" and if you glance at the screen it shows the street name of Michigan Ave! I think that does a fantastic job and don't need to hear the exact names of the street. The unit has great visibility with the wide screen and automatically adjusts from day to night time driving. I highly recommend it and because of its low price you keep some extra money in your pocket. Overall, I love this product and would recommend that you pick one up as well."

"This GPS is sufficient to get you in the general area of your destination, so, if you do not know the area well at all, or have never been there before, rely on this GPS for that. However, pull over and ask somebody how to get to your specific destination when you get close. The direction this device gives is not always accurate, and can be very irritating!!!"

"The only problem that I have with this GPS is it is always saying unable to find satellite or if it finds the satellite it takes a very long time to do so. Otherwise this is a very nice system that is fairly easy to use."

What's not so great: a little bit confusing at times but just use common sense.
"bought this a few weeks ago as my first gps. i used it around town and it worked great for finding faster routes to and from work and school. but it was a little unclear as it would tell me to turn into fields. and it freaked out when i turned onto newer streets that weren't on the map yet. all in all it works great i just wish it had updated maps. but as i said earlier you just have to use common sense."
