"This is a very nice washer. We didn't get it from Best Buy. I found it @ local store for 449.99. An UNBELIEVABLE deal. Got a 2 year service contract with it so with tax we were out the door paying just 530. We've had it for 2 months with no problems so far. It does vibrate so make sure your laundry room floor is sturdy enough for it. I leveled the washer, turned the anti-vibration on, and turned the spin down to low. It still vibrates but not as much. Considering how clean the clothes get and the reduced drying times due to the spinning of the clothes, the vibration isn't that big of an issue."

What's great about it: Cleans really well. Saves on water and is much more gentle on clothing. What's not so great: Making sure all pockets are cleaned out so no small pieces make it to the catch filter/basket.
"We have had the washer and the dryer for a few years now. I love the size of the drum. I have washed king size comforters and it fits so many jean into one load it amazes me. We had to replace the hot water inlet solonoid already but we just ordered the part and DH fixed it. Other than that the only other issue would be having things get caught in the catch basket/filter. Having the items caught there before getting to the pumps is great but the process of pulling the filter to get the items out can be a bit messy. We haven't had to do that in a year or 2 though bc after having it happen 2-3 times. I learned to make sure I checked ALL pockets for small items. We are very happy with our purchase thus far."

What's great about it: Ease of use, quiet, water saver
"Bought my LG Washer WM2233H & matching Dryer DLE3733 along with the pedestals one month ago. Did plenty of research and read the reviews which were very helpful in choosing this pair. The washer is extremely easy to use and very quiet even during the spin cycle. The machine uses the correct amount of water needed for different load sizes. It is definetly a water saver without being skimmpy. My clothes come out smelling fresher and brighter than my old top loader. No problems with a smelly tub; I give it a wipe and leave the door open for a while. If you can swing the extra cost I recommend the pedestals, they bring the machines to a comfortable height and provide extra storage. We leveled the pedestals and washer and I have no vibrasion. What a great washer, would have upgraded along time ago if I new then what I know now."

"We have really been enjoying this washer. Very simple to use, plenty of cycle options, clothes come out so clean, and I love the little tune the washer plays to announce the end of the wash.
We actually wash less because the washer holds so much. My previous top loader was large too, but it seems I can fit quite a bit more into this washer. I love the fact that we are using less water and this is important because our county is clamping down on water usage this year.
The wash cycles seem to take a little longer but the clothes dry a bit quicker, in the end most loads take no longer to wash and dry than before. I’ve learned the sanitary cycle washes the clothes multiple times, therefore, it is a particularly long cycle so don’t use it when you’re in a rush to get your laundry done.
Unfortunately, side loaders can hold some water in the seal immediately after a wash, so I either leave the washer door open while the clothes are in the dryer or blot the inside of the door and the seal dry just to make sure I never have any issues with mildew or dampness odors."

"Make sure you tell your salesperson if you have an older home or a newer home and specify if you have a concrete floor in your laundry room. Our home is 50 yrs old, and seems solid. We were told, after the fact, that LG recommends a concrete foundation. After several visits from a service tech. and installers (and 6 weeks of waiting) we changed to Samsung with the vibration control system. The LG could/would not stop vibrating, even with the anti-vibration pads. The Samsung units work very well, with minimal vibration."

What's great about it: Everything! What's not so great: The soap dispenser
"How silly is that to love a washer! I got the dryer to match. But I really do love these machines. We've had the set for almost 2 months. Just like many of the other purchasers of this washing machine, we owned a top load washer prior to this purchase. It did its job, I thought. But it was starting to show its age. I didn't realize how my top load washer wasn't doing its job until I used my front load washer the first time! OMG, my clothes even smell cleaner. I've pulled things out of drawers and closets just to use the machine. I've washed all the bedding from our 2 guest bedrooms and all our extra linens and towels in our house, even rugs that could be machine washed. This machine can handle very large loads and uses less water. We're amazed about that feature, less water how great is that! My husband and I even watched it the first time we used it because we weren't sure water was even going into the tub, but of course it was. It's great on delicates and cloths that need extra attention. Love those features. It also spins the clothes practically dry so the dryer works less as well. It looks great in our laundry room too. If I had to say something that I didn't like about the washer it would be the soap, bleach and softener dispensers. I used to be able to just pour my liquid detergent directly on the clothes after measuring it in the cap. Now because there are actual dispensers with small slots to pour the detergent into, it's messy and the soap gets all over. But I've remedied that by purchasing smaller plastic bottles with spouts that I transferred the detergent and softener into making it easier to pour into these small slots. We purchased the pedestals too, now I can stash away the laundry bottles. Of course the pedestals raise the machines up to the right height so I don’t have to bend over to reach into the washer and drying to retrieve my wash. I did my research on other machines and this one fit our needs the best along with the awesome price. It's so quiet too; we have no problems with vibrations. Perhaps the people who do have problems need to put their machines on a more stable surface. It’s too bad about the people who have had problems with their washers; they’re missing out on the awesomeness of this machine. But we’re 100% satisfied with ours."

What's great about it: Quiet, efficient, very clean wash. What's not so great: Nothing yet.
"The wonders of modern technology, cease to amaze me.
We just got this machine, and we did several loads today, ranging from heavy loads of my greasy shop rags and heavy towels, to my wifes $60 delicate Victoria secret bras. The new stainless water hoses and digital control panel have both of us drooling with excitement. Now, will it clean better than our old top loader? You BET!!!
This thing is amazing. I feared running into a problem with spin vibration, as some other reviewers had problems on upstairs wood floors. However, we have had no problems yet. Even with fairly oddly balanced loads with lots of heavy and light items mixed together, the machine spins smoothly, and under control. We don't even have those fancy rubber feet underneath. Just a regular wood floor with lanoleum. Yes, there is a slight vibration, as one would expect, but nothing that is violent. I put my coffee cup on top of the machine while spinning with my shop rags, without it spilling. Amazing!!!
Oh, and if you have a habit of putting baskets on top of your machine while it's running, I recommend getting a nice 24" wide roll of rubber shelf liner from Lowes or Home Depot. It will save the paint on top of your machine if you have no counter top. It keeps things from sliding around when it spins. Just a personal tip.
Just to be on the safe side, we also purchased the 3yr GeekSquad assistance, just in case. My 15 year old Whirlpool top loader was a cinch to tear down and fix, but I have no idea what to do to this electronic fandangled wonder of technology. I'll leave it up to the geeks.
For anyone looking for a great front loader under $900, I highly recommend this one."

"My floor is potentially a little "mushy" - the washer in it's spin cycle will cause some vibrations in the room on the opposite side of the wall. More of an irritation than anything. The clothes come out cleaner than ever, not wound up like a top load, love it!"

"Have used this washer over a month with no problems. As with most front loaders there is a vibration sometimes during spin cycles. The washer is installed on the service porch of a single level twenty four year old wood framed house. The vibration so far is tolerable. Information available says that you should leave the door cracked open to alleviate the damp odors common to front loaders after your washing is completed. The problem is the door is spring-loaded half to full open when unlatched. This could be a problem in narrow confines."

"Had this washer for 2-months now. I was worried about some of the reviews about the shaking and noise. I was also looking at the Samsung for its VRT technology. I bought the LG because of the brand being more established. It was a great choice! Turns out, the LG is quiter than I expected, certainly quiter than my previous top-loader. Sure you can hear it - the thing spins many times faster than an older washer, but I wouldn't be worried about noise. I even bought those rubber pads for under the machine, which I returned because it was so quite without them. One neat thing with the front loader is how dry the clothes are - the spin cycle really wrings them out, which makes the dryer cycle faster. My youngest daughter thought that the ice cream man was coming the first time the end of cycle alarm went off. It plays a nice tune instead of just a buzzer noise. One thing that is accurate about all front loaders vs. top loaders - the wash cycle is a lot longer! Be prepared and read how long the wash cycle takes on the models your considering."

"This washer is very energy and water efficient - uses less water per load and spins most excess water out so less drying time is needed. Considering the rising costs of natural resources, it's a no brainer... will pay for itself in savings. And tree-hugging types can feel good about themselves and their environmental footprint. You can't leave clothes in it or they'll smell musty. I don't know why it's worse for front-loader than top-loader, it just is. I like the time delay feature - you can set it to wash at a certain time so you don't forget. And the sanitizing feature is great (especially if you do accidentally leave your clothes in there). You do have to leave the door open and wipe down the rubber to prevent musty odor. I just wish you could lock the door so that toddlers can't open it when not in use."

"We purchased this washer less than 3 years ago. The motor went out and we had to pay someone to remove it. The warranty covers parts, but not the outrageous labor fee. We refused to invest another penny in that washer. It sounded like a loud airplane taking off (and sometimes sounded like a loud Halloween ghost), the clothes smelled musty and there were constantly error signals on the screen. Save your money. It's pretty, but looks are deceiving. The dryer is no better."

What's not so great: Loud, problems
"I am sorry that I didn't read the reviews before purchasing this product. Washing machine broke down less than 4 months after my purchase. I get an error code OE. I have checked the filter and it's clean. Soonest a LG tech would come out for repairs was 2 weeks. What horrible service after spending over $800 on this machine. I am very disappointed with this product and LG."

"We purchased this washer a couple weeks ago and love it!! It is in the basement so it's very quiet and have not noticed any shaking as has been reported. The large tub makes short work of our laundry. We have 13 dogs we care for and most get a towel in their cage. Unfortunately some are not crate trained so we accumulate alot of dirty towels. What used to be 2 loads is now 1. I like the digital readout. Very easy to use. In reference to the reported musty smell, I had the same problem with my old washer (also a front loader) but as long as the laundry is not left for more than a few hours, it's not a problem. My dryer works less because the LG spins so well it leaves the clothes meerly damp instead of wet."

"Bought this washer about 4 weeks ago and are really enjoying the features. Sanitary cycle is great for kids sports clothes and especially for use after flu season. Model is on ground floor and have not noticed any shaking that is mentioned in other reviews. "I've had this washer for 1 month, and it is now a pure joy to wash clothes. The washer is quite, energy efficent and worth the money. I have 2 cats and I use the Sanitary control and my items are cleaner than ever. Using the high spin speed gets almost all the water out, making drying time less than before. I'm really happy with my purchase. Now I can't wait until my dryer breaks down :^)"
