What's great about it: Ease of use, setup, and constantly improves, iphone controller What's not so great: Initial cost, controller price,
"I started with two zones two years ago (living room for un-amped zone with my stereo, and amped zone for outside on the patio) and quickly purchased two more zones after my wife and I got hooked!
Since initial purchase Sonos updates their software every quarter with additional features. Since purchasing they included Pandora, Sirius, Streaming local radio stations with a zip code search, and most recently an iphone (and itouch) app as a fully featured controller.
We currently have 4 zones and are expanding to 6 for the basement rec room and the office. Fantastic to walk around the house and hear the same thing everywhere. Using the aux input, you can play your TV audio through it and have 'the game' playing throughout the house as well!
The only technology I have seen that actually gets better with age b/c of the software updates for life!"

What's great about it: integrates very easily, a snap to set up What's not so great: way too expensive
"take a look at the duet (do a google search) which has a handheld remote and one non powered zone for 399.00 then each addl non powered zone is only 150.00. But if you need the amps built in the Sonos is a pretty excellent piece of electronics."

Sonos is simply amazing

What's great about it: Ease, Versatility, Cost What's not so great: Cost
"The cost of the Sonos system is listed as both a pro and a con. A con because it will cost you over a thousand dollars to *really* get started, but as a pro because you won't find another comparable system this cheap! I can't even express how easy it is to set up this system, connect it to your MP3 collection and your Sirius account (if you have one). You can also connect it to your Rhapsody, Napster or Pandora account if you have one of these. The audio plays clearly and flawlessly and in perfect synchronization with all wireless units in your home. I can't recommend this product more!"

Best Invention Ever

What's great about it: You can wire your whole house for music and not rip open your walls. If you store your music digitally it's a dream. What's not so great: It does not play Itunes DRM songs at the moment.
"For years I looked a wireless solution to enjoy music throughout my home and finally someone did it right. The Sonos music system is the prefect solution. I use three zones of the 32 that you can set up and it works beautifully. I'm able to listen to music throughout my condo and I did not have to spend the quoted $6,000 to have my place wired. Also, I use I-Tunes and am in the process to transferring all my music to a digital server. The simple user interface always me to access my music no matter where I am with the handheld controller. I had all three rooms set up and running in about 45 minutes. It was so easy. I used it for a party I had recently and it was like having a jukebox at a bar. By far the best technology I have ever purchased."

"Sonos provides an incredibly user-friendly and flexible manner in which to listen to your audio anywhere in your home. Couple it with Rhapsody and you've got access to more music than you can imagine. This is worth twice the cost to a music lover."

Great Music solution

"Sonos is a great system for playing internet music, music stored on your computer, Sirius Satellite and more. The quality of the sound is excellent, the setup is easy, and the controller is sleek and fun. WiFi can cause conflicts in some areas, and you may need to make some changes on your router/gateway, but overall this is a great purchase!"

Love It!!!!!

"I have two ZP100s, the controller, and cradle. I had both units up and running within 1 hour, including importing my library of 35,000 mp3s (I'm a mobile disc jockey). Setup was incredibly easy. The full color controller is very easy to use. My wife uses it with ease! The sound quality is crisp and works great with my subwoofer. I can broadcast my iPod music or any audio device (using the RCA inputs) through both units. All features can be controlled from the full color, scroll-wheel controller or any computer within the network. I use the Sirius Internet Radio often. The free internet radio stations are great also. You can create playlists on-the-fly using the controller or you can import most common playlist formats. I will be purchasing more units: one for the patio and one for the den. Pros: Easy to setup and use. Very reliable. Small. EVERYTHING can be accessed using the controller. Each unit has one audio input and output which can then be broadcast to all units. Easy to use internet radio broadcasts. Automatically updates. Controller has iPod-like scroll wheel, is full color, has many quick access buttons, battery and signal strength indicators, screen and buttons backlit. Cons: Only supports stereo (2 channel) sound. There is no surround sound support. Has a limit of 50,000 songs in the library."
