Solid First Album 02/20/2008

What's great about it: Slow Songs show good range of her voice
What's not so great: Up beat songs didn't have enough substance

"Solid first Album, very surprised her singing ability. Has a very nice jazzy voice, but still very contemporay. Slow songs are excellent and show off her writting ability and emphases on capturing a feeling. Can't wait for the follow up album."

"THIS YOUNG LADY IS INCREDIBLE.. I AM SO GLAD WE HAVE A YOUNG ARTIST,WHO DOESN'T USES HER BODY TO SELL.ALTHOUGH THE CD IS WORN OUT DUE TO AN EXCESSIVE AND OBSEESED FAN I KNOW. I LOVE HER SOUND AND HER VOCALS..WAY TO GO.."

What's great about it: Style, voice, production, lyrics
What's not so great: Not enough marketing

"Her voice/range is incredible and she has a classic vibe. In years to come she'll be a legend like Aretha Franklin, Pati LaBelle, Diana Ross, Anita Baker and the list goes on. Excellent choice of songs, good lyrics and a well blended mixture of classic R&B with a modern Hip-Hop sound. You will not be dissapointed. After hearing the last song, you actually looked forward to her next release."

"This CD has a solid, well-rounded playlist. It's not often that I will buy an artist's new cd without hearing a song or two from it first, but anything that Chrisette is on, I would purchase in a heartbeat. Her voice is very unique and has alot of jazz and r&b qualities to it. She has her own distinct sytle, but definitely reminds me of Norah Jones. If you like Norah, you'll love Chrisette!"

"I Purchased this cd only having heard one or two songs that I liked. I was pleasantly surprised to listen to the rest of the cd of which I enjoyed every song.
Chrisette has a jazzy, r&b vibe that is very different and she can sing.
You will not be disappointed with this purchase."
