What's great about it: Sound quality, mixed with good bass. very comfortable What's not so great: feels like they could break
"these are really good head phones. i compared them to the beats by dre and sony extra bass head phones. the sony ones were terrible and the beats b dre didnt add enough bass to go along with the music(also they are $299). the skull crusher head phones sounded better mixed with the power full bass (and there only $75) the only problem i have found with these is that if your battery goes dead on the amp, your out of luck and also the plastic seems a little weak. i think it could just be like that on these type of head phones. but you definitely should treat them nice. for the money your spending, your getting a great set of head phones"

What's great about it: BASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is amazing!!!!!!!! What's not so great: it kind of feels like plastic
"Oh my god!!!!!!! the bass is like nothing i've ever heard. IDK how people can write negative reviews about these headphones. When i heard the demo at best buy, i was hypnotized!!!!!!!! I tried the Dr. Dre and did not even notice the bass!!!!!!!!!!!!! The ONLY bad thing about these is the material, it feels like plastic, but what do you expect. If they used the best materials these headphones would easily be worth $200+ I would recommend these to everyone!!!!!!!!!!"

What's great about it: great bass without distortion What's not so great: the plastic seems breakable if you were to drop or sit on them
"great headphones for the money, my dad has the beats by Dre and theres a slight difference in sound quality but he also paid $200 for them so to only have to pay around $70 for these skullcrusher headphones its a great deal and i always read the reviews about distortion in the headphones i have no idea what there talking about unless they download songs with bad sound quality because you can adjust how much bass is going into the headphones and the music doesnt even go through the subwoofers so i would recommend these head phones over buying the Dre's anyday saving around $130 for about the same sound quality."

What's great about it: SOUNDS AMAZING, Really comfortable, and not bad price What's not so great: Breaks way to easily
"Ibought these head phones so that when i was mowing the lawn i would here my music and not the mower. I used them all summer and theycwere great but one day they fell and the cord pulled out. I brought them back and got a new set with no issues. I used them all fall and then the copper piece got bent so they cdont play right. I Would expect somethng with this price it would be fairly durable. I would recomend it to a friend only if they were verry carefull."

What's great about it: Amazing sound quality and bass What's not so great: A little bulky
"These headphones are the best I have owned so far. The sound quality is great, especially for the price. They are a little bulky, being around-the-ear headphones, but it would be hard to find anything smaller with similar sound quality and price. Strong bass and clear highs make for an overall great listening experience."

What's great about it: 3 different connection types. Good bass range with sub on. What's not so great: The battery powering the subwoofer will die in a VERY short amount of time.
"These headphones were excellent in sound quality. They actually can never get quite loud enough when plugged into my Mac or iPod, but it's not a big deal. The subwoofer will literally massage your ears on songs with deep bass. The only real problem is the subwoofer is powered by one AA battery, and it will die very quickly."

What's great about it: Very comfortable, sounds great, subwoofer is sweet What's not so great: expensive.....
"I was kinda on the fence about getting these. They were very expensive and some reviews here said that they weren't good. I got them anyway and it was a very good desicion. They are comfortable and sound awesome. If you are on the fence and are reading all the reviews like, "they suck dont get these," dont listen. I love em."

What's great about it: The idea. What's not so great: The execution of the idea.
"I bought these today with out doing research beforehand (which is unlike me), now I know why I do research first. They had a demo that I tried out, and just like someone else said in there review they sounded way better in the store then at home. I spend about an half hour trying to "tune" them, from changing the EQ settings on my iPod to the amount of bass from the amp. After all that I came to the conclusion that these are not for me. The overall sound quality is poor and they try to cover it up with muddy bass. Not worth the money, if they were $35 maybe but not for $75. But if I had these when I was 15 I would have loved them because of the bass, but now I need a more refined headset."

What's great about it: Comfortable and comes with a case, Sounded good in the store on display What's not so great: Sound quality and Value are POOR for this item
"I love Skull Candy, I have a few pair of FMJ's and I love them so I thought I would give these over the ear DJ (haha, yeah right) head phones a try. Like I said, sounded good in the store so I bought them got home and pluged them in and about 2 min. into listening to music and they sounded horrible. I adjusted the bass and if it is not turned all the way up then the sound is horrible, I adjusted my EQ, still horrible. I tried them on my computer, my iPod, my reciever ect. ALL HORRIBLE. Don't be fooled by the instore display because the ooo's and aaaa's of the on board Bass rattling around your ears for the first time. If you want a good head of head phones go get your some FMJ's, and if you want an over the ear headphone stik with Bose or Beats by Dr. Dre (although I don't much like the Dr. Dre's either but they sound way better). STAND CLEAR!!! I am going to write a strongly worded letter to Skull Candy."

What's great about it: Pretty good price, great sound quality which goes along with the subwoofer & amplifier as well. What's not so great: nothing so far
"I don't get the people who says these are a bad pair of headphones, because I just got these for Christmas and I love them. The bass amplifier/subwoofer is great. I haven't found any problems with them. They also fold up and can go in a case if you are tight on space. They seem that they could be easy to break, so if you take care of them, you don't have to worry about finding that out."

What's great about it: Feel Great, on sale for $50 What's not so great: Poor sound quality!
"Its kind of neat when you first open up the package with all its goodies, the nice bag, 2 adapters, AA battery, even a stencil if you wanna tag somethin' haha. But the novelty of the subwoofer leaves after about 5-10 minutes of listening. I bought these a half hour ago and i'll be taking them back tonight. They sound alright with some songs with the bass turned halfway up, but when you really wanna bump to some hip-hop and you wanna turn it all the way up, its just distorted and rumbly... the idea behind this is really cool, but personally i think it needs some improvement. I think I may go order the FMJ's, theyre the same as the TiTan except they have an inline mic. I tried my friends TiTans and they sounded amazing! I'll leave a review on those when i pick them up."

What's great about it: has a skull on the side What's not so great: sound quality, bass has no punch and is just a bunch of sloppy rumbling
"To be fair, I didn't buy these, but I did test them in the store while I was looking for a headphone purchase. I ended up getting the Koss PortaPro and am enjoying them.
If you want bass, and only bass, these headphones will be right up your alley. The mids and highs are easily drowned out by the "bass" and if you disable the bass-booster, it sounds like you're listening to a pair of $15 headphones.
The quality of the bass is poor. Although it does seem as if there is a 15" sub in the headphones, and it does literally vibrate on your head, the quality of the bass just doesn't seem very full. I'm not sure how to explain it, but its just not the same type of good, punchy bass you get in some other headphones and stereo speakers. It's almost as if its just a bunch of rumbling with little punch, and when it does punch, it gets easily distorted as you turn up the volume.
Test them out in the store if they're on display before you buy... they're definitely for a niche market: people that like lots of sloppy, rumbling noise."

What's great about it: Decent Price What's not so great: Poor Sound Quality in all aspects.
"These headphones are poor in sound quality, especially in the bass spectrum. As i was listening to these headphones, i noticed that the deepness of the bass was completely gone. it takes the true bass and literally replaces it with a vibration.
i would not recommend these to anyone who knows what music should sound like. The only people i would recommend these to would be anyone who wants to have headphones that vibrate.
I have a pair of Monster Beats by Dr. Dre, and if you have the money, these are definitely the headphones you're looking for if you crave bass.
If you dont have the money, the SONY MDR-XB500 extra bass headphones are great for the price and produce a much better sound than these skullcandy cans."

What's great about it: They vibrate on your head... if that's what you want What's not so great: The SQ is terrible. Tingy mids / highs.... peaky bass, that doesn't get very deep
"My local Best Buy has these set up for a demo, beside a pair of sound canceling Senheisers for $180, and a pair of Sony Extra Bass for $80.
I have to say, they certainly tried to jump off of your head (which was quite interesting to say the least) However, the bass responsible for that was not musical whatsoever, and really drowned out a lot of everything else. Granted, the Best Buy display did not allow you to do any fine tuning adjustments, which might have helped some. Mids / highs sounded distant, and not very musical either. Overall, I'd give these headphones a 1 out of 5..... and please keep in mind > I'm a guy who loves lots of bass < and drives a truck with two 12"s and 1200 watts RMS.
The Senheisers right beside these blew away the Skull Crushers in every way "except" loudness of bass, but the bass they did produce sounded MUCH better.
Then their were the Sony MDR- XB500's. {see my review on those too}They put out a LOT of very musical sounding bass ! Okay, so they didn't try to jump off of your head quite like the Skull Crushers, but they sounded awesome ! So I bought them :-) Took them home, and immediatly played some techno bass tracks that get down to 25 hz, and holy $#$% ! Simply unbelievable !
But I digress;
I think a guy that is impressed with a car stereo, that makes the trunk flex like crazy > even though you hear more rattles than you do bass, might like these Skull Crushers. Like > Look ! They try to jump off your head ! That's dope Yo ! < :-)
But the Sound Quality guy, that likes powerful, deep, clean, musical bass, and still doesn't want a single rattle anywhere, should not even consider these. SQ people like this, should consider the Sony XB500's (for the price) or spend a lot more $$$, for something even nicer, with active sound cancelation, but probably still not more bass.
Peace, Fish"
