What's great about it: Easy to setup, high quality videos and still pictures
What's not so great: No sound on the motion detector, only video, and microphone quality could be better
"This is the 1st time I have purchased a cam for the laptop, and I am very impressed with it. This one blows away the one I purchased about a week before, but had to return it (not Best Buy), because the quality was so bad. It was about 1/3 the price of this one, but to me, it was worth nothing. :-( Now this cam is GREAT!! A little pricey, but worth every penny! The video quality is sharp, and the microphone is mediocre, but not great."

"i recently purchased this camera so i could a skype account and chat with all my friends. its very easy to connect but the picture is super fuzzy and unclear. which was very dissapointing. I would definetly recommend you spend the extra money for a better camera, because the picture is soooo unclear"

What's great about it: very easy to use once you down load the Skype program
What's not so great: No instructions to down load the Skype program to use as a web cam
"The webcam is very easy to load on your computer and easy to startup. If you are using it a movie recorder the instruction are fine but if you want to use as a web cam you need to know to down load the "Skype" software to be able to view friends on the other end. Great product."

What's great about it: The video software from Logitech that comes with it - no need to use other video conferencing software
What's not so great: Depending on the internet connection (NOT THE CAMERA) the picture is fuzzy
"I purchased three of these webcams so my parents and in-laws can see and talk to my wife and me. It was so simple to install, and it came with its own video conferencing software (Logivid – also simple to install). I like the fact that I can put in one installation CD and get the webcam and video conferencing software up and running – it only took 15 minutes. My inlaws are not the most computer savvy, but they were able to install the webcam and video conferencing software in about 30 minutes. You register your email address and that is how people find you – so simple. You can even use the webcam to make windows media videos – great if you don’t want to use a camcorder. I liked this webcam so much I just got one for my sister (4 webcams in all). Oh, it comes with a stand or you can clip it to a laptop screen."

What's great about it: Easily portable but does include desk stand and comes with a great software package
What's not so great: just a little pricey
"I tried 3 other brands before I finally settled on this particular one and it turned out to be a great purchase. I have had it attached to both a Vista 32 and 64 bit laptop and it worked well with no glitches. The webcam has superior video quality yet will take superb still shots as well. The microphone is very sensitive to sound and both the sound and lighting are qualities you will appreciate. Guess this is why Logitech has such a great reputation for manufacturing quality equipment. Bottom line, if you need a webcam this is the one!"

Worth the extra money

What's great about it: The video quality,no problem setting it up.
What's not so great: The price, but it's worth the extra money.
"I decided to buy this one instead of using the intergrated one on my laptop.
I have used cams from logitec before and decided to try this one. I admit that I was a little "iffy" with the price. All said and done, it's worth it.
The resolutions and frame rate are great. I've only had video this clear using a digital camcorder and cables. Vista stopped the use of that.
If you're going to invest in a good cam, this is the one for you.
Like the saying goes, "You get what you pay for"
This one will not dissapoint."

Great video quality, effects not so great

What's great about it: It was easy to install, worked well except for video effects
What's not so great: The video effects are very advanced but they missed basics (like putting lightning on the screen or sharing the desktop)
"Great video quality, very interesting effects. You can replace your face with the face of an avatar but as you move your head, eyes and mouth it mimics your gestures. There's even a gallery for more of these kinds of effects.
Unfortunately I miss the basic effects that are bundled with my laptop's webcam (chicony usb). Things like putting lightning on the screen or surrounding the border with flowers, etc...
And the video effects aren't working with a flash based video chat I use! I am running 64-bit vista so that may be the cause."

What's great about it: Simple to use, just plug and play, purchased on sale for $69.99 with additional 10% off rebate
What's not so great: Clip does need to be re-worked not that easy to attached to my laptop
"Great webcam for the price (definitely wait and buy it on sale). I've had it for about a week and havent had any problems. Picture quality is by far better than the Intel webcam I first bought 10 years ago. It can be used with either a laptop (attached clip) or it has a convenient stand it comes with. It also comes with a small carrying case that can be easily thrown into your briefcase along with your laptop.
Highly recommended."

"This is easily the best web cam I've ever had the pleasure of using. It's about the size of a flash drive and comes with a neoprene case and desk stand (about a foot tall), which makes it versatile for both desktop and notebook users alike.
The quickcam software that comes with the camera is intuitive and easy to use. Some neat features include freely downloadable avatars and accessories, as well as video effects that change the color and pigmenation of the videos in interesting ways.

What's not so great: The configuration process could be simplified
"This web cam was a great purchase. I tried 4 other brands before I settled on this one. This webcam works great with Windows vista. Although it is pricier than other models, it has exceptional video quality and takes terrific still photo features. Also, the lighting and sound qualities are unbelievable. You get a lot of bang for your buck. Not to mention that Logitech has a solid brand name for tech accessories. This webcam was well worth its price."

"Awesome video camera for the price. The software that comes with it only outputs to wmv and you can get better video quality capturing with 3rd party capture software. This web cam can produce accurate exposures in a wide variety of difficult lighting situations. The auto focus is fast and accurate. Glad I made this purchase."
