What's great about it: Easy to set up, self explanatory
What's not so great: Works of the songs don't show up on TV.
Its simple to use and it was on sale. the kids love to play with it. Good for the price.

I got this for my Niece for CHristmas. Used it once and the Micro Phone Broke... Don't do it....

What's great about it: 6 year old could use it
What's not so great: it was knocked over once and never played properly again
This product was easy to use, but, once knocked over..on carpet, it never played properly again. seems to be built to tip over. Not durable at all.

That's pretty much it I thought it would be fun it's so small and easy to take with but there is no microphone power at all.

What's great about it: Price is GREAT, It works.
What's not so great: Doesn't sound that great, and the sound is a bit behind.
The machine was given to a friend who LOVES to karioke. We tried it out on her birthday and it worked just fine. Words came up ok and legable. The music sounded alright. But there was a lag time between the mic and the TV so you were always singing a bit ahead of the song. Which made it difficult to keep the beat and sound good. So I would say Great for kids and not so serious singers. But if you want then to go somewhere with it, maybe try one of the better ones.

This is an inexpensive, decently performing karaoke machine for kids and teens. It's lasted so far--two months--but I do have some questions about its durability.

What's great about it: Plays music like any other boombox.
What's not so great: The output for your voice is very hard to hear.
The product I bought does work, its not broken. It plays cds well, so great for taking to the beach, but the voice for the microphone is terrible. It is very hard to hear your own voice. I hooked this up to my stereo system, thinking it would make a difference, no, just louder music from the cd, but no increase in my voice. I would not buy this for anyone, not even a kid, because the kid would want to hear themselves, and they won't be able to. Luckliy, I can return this, and upgrade to a better model.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: Simple for kids to use, portable
What's not so great: Mic tends to sound muffled
Got this for a 3 & 5 year old at Christmas '08 and it's still doing well. Even in the middle of the summer, I'm still being serenaded with the Chipmunks Christmas song, so maybe it's time for some new CD's. This really is a case of you get what you pay for. I knew this was going to be a kids' toy, so I didn't want to invest a lot in it. So far the machine has held up well. It still works fine and all the buttons and switches are still there. It's a real simple set-up with a single LCD display for the song numbers, so my kids can easily navigate to the songs they want to sing on their own. The only thing I would rate as a con is the mic quality. You really have to belt out a song into the mic to get any sort of quality audio out of it. If your kid is quiet or shy on the mic, you're probably gonna hear a lot of muffled noise more than anything. There is a mic volume and echo switch, but they may or may not help depending on the music you're playing. Loud CD music tends to overwhelm quiet singers I've noticed, even with the mic volume really high. There are audio outputs which can be run through a receiver or TV and that does help more than anything I've noticed. But if you're kid is a ham and likes to belt out a tune, then all should be well.

What's great about it: Good sound for the price. Easy to use. Compact.
What's not so great: None really. Very very nice item.
We have had this for about a month and my daughter has gotten so much use out of it. She is 10 and has a friend sleep over almost nightly and there is not a night they don't use it. They can play so many songs and play "rock stars" all night. She and her friends keep busy and have a blast. The sleep better at night after singing their little brains out all evening too! Very nice item.

I just finished playing this with my daddy and my sister and it was very fun! I got it for my graduation! I can't wait to play with it somemore! I don't see how some people don't like this karaoke machine!

My daughter also received this as a Christmas gift. She absolutely loved it! Thankfully she didn't care that the microphone didn't work when the music was playing! It is a great idea for kids who like to sing, but not this machine. Long story short, we took it back right away.

Ok this karaoke machine is designed for kids, and our daughters just love using it. I'm just not certain how long it is going to last. We've had it a couple weeks now and no problems yet. But as with most electronic gadgets these days, it doesn't look built to last. As long as it continues working...then it is a very good and affordable item for the aspiring singers in your household!
