"When I first purchased this model it was the best monitor I could have. The monitor had a great picture. After one year of owning this the LCD screen is apparently starting to go out. I have a green vertical line that runs from top to bottom."

What's great about it: Great picture, takes up very little space, good internal speakers.
What's not so great: None.
"I've had this monitor since February now and I haven't had a single problem with it. I love that fact that I finally had gotten rid of my CRT monitor that was over 8 years old and that this one took up so little space compared to my last one. The picture quality from this monitor is great and I like how it looks."

What's great about it: Great Display and graphics, nice sound quality
What's not so great: I wish it was bigger
"This is a great monitor! Picture perfect graphics and crisp sound on the built-in speakers make for an excellentexperience. Whether you are playing music, watching movies, or just browsing this is the right monitor for you. The LCD screen is small and slim which is perfect for small desks or anywhere. I however do recommend you buy the larger version because the 17" screen is a tad small."

What's great about it: Thin, light, excellent color
What's not so great: A little hard to adjust
"This HP monitor is great. The colors are bright and the viewing angle is better than most LCDs. It is extremely thin and lightweight, making it great for a cramped desk or for moving your computer around a lot. For example, my friends and I often have "LAN parties" and moving my old CRT monitor was such a hassle. Not with this! The sound is above average for built in speakers also.
I would recomend this in a heartbeat."

Decent Monitor

What's great about it: Nice Resolution, Crisp
What's not so great: No DVI. Strains the eyes if sitting almost 3 feet away.
"I got it as part of a HP package deal. I went with the 17" because of a need for it to be small to fit in my computer desk that I can close the doors to. The problem is that it sits towards the back of the desk and a 17" widescreen isn't the same size as a 17" fullscreen. The widescreen is shorter. It would strain my eyes after a while. I didn't want to pull it closer because I'd lose that area as a writing surface then. I exchanged it for the HP w1907 19" model which fit in the area I have with 1/2" to spare.
Long story short, if you're going to have the monitor closer to you (like near your keyboard), go with this one. If you need to sit a few feet away, go with the 19" - or larger if you have the room.
Also, if you need a monitor with a DVI connector so you can use the computer's VGA for second monitor, go with the 19" too."

Great for Movies!

What's great about it: Widescreen!
"With our new screen and high-speed DSL we really enjoy watching movies on our computer. The resolution and contrast are great.
So if I want to watch a disc or live feed, I don't have to fire up the Home Theater and disturb the family. I just pop it in the computer!"

"I purchased the bundle and was able to upgrade my monitor from a flat screen crt to a flat panel lcd monitor for nominal fee. I am glad I did. I am satisfied with the size of the monitor and clarity of the screen. I only wish the speakers were louder."

"What a great monitor, I picked mine up today and at such a great price.This monitor will make my computor gaming so much better now that I have this.Display is awsome as are the graphics.Ease of use is great as well.Though the speakers are small I agree with the other reviewers that the speaker issue can be solved by buying some external speakers which will greatly improve the sound if you are playing computor games or listening to music,but overall this is still a great monitor and I would definatley recommend it to others."

What's great about it: Takes up so little room, especially with speakers built in, very clear screen
What's not so great: none that I have found yet
"I love this thing! The size seems to be perfect for me. It takes up much less room on a desk, rather than a regular monitor. The fact that the speakers are built in saves me even more room, which is great! The quality of the speakers could be a tab bit better, but they're still pretty good. The screen is pretty clear as well. I would recommend this to any of my friends!"

"This monitor works well vibrant colors and easy to use it automatically adjusts it self for best performance. the only down side to it is the speakers they do not go very loud and are good if your not going to do alot of gaming or listening to music. its a great monitor without sacrificing space."
