What's great about it: Easy Gameplay, Many Game Modes, etc What's not so great: None
"This is definitely a great game. It has many differnet game modes to choose from so the game wont get boring. You can customize your cars for adn even greater racing experience and try out the next generation race car. This is also a great game for people interested in boosting thier gamerscores. The achievements arent hard to get and are worth a good amount of points. I bought the game on sunday morning and beat it entirely by monday afternoon (non-stop playing). I would recommend this game to all ages and bascially everyone. You dont have to enjoy Nascar to love this game!"

What's great about it: none What's not so great: lots
"I own the original XBAX and play NASCAR Chase for the Cup, this game's driving is so difficult I can not even paas the liscensing phase. No fun only frustration. Do not buy it you will only be disappointed and angry when you drive. If this is the future of race gaming i want to quite. I went from first on everything in XBOX to I cant complete a lap on XBOX 360 w/o wrecking. All this is is a crshfest with only dissappointment!!!!"

What's great about it: Nothing much really What's not so great: To much to list
"Trying to be as honest as possible this is just not the best Nascar game that could have been made. The game makes you complete less than spectacular task so that you can complete your Chase for the Cup. Also everything that was fun about past games they have completely removed and thrown away. The game is also very based around editing your car's settings specifically for each race. If you don't do this you will be the slowest car every time and finish last. This also goes along side with online multi-player. A great idea for this game would be to have online seasons just like NHL 08's online leagues. Also the driving in the game is near impossible. Whether you have the steering wheel or are using the controller you almost have to steer into the wall to go straight. If you get any where near another car which by the way happens a lot you will crash. The only reason I gave this game three stars is because I enjoy playing Nascar related games. However, this game makes you want to start to dislike anything to do with Nascar. EA really needs to let someone else try to make this game as they have no idea what people want from this series."

"I can't believe that they would drop the ball on this game. I mean the graphics are pretty good, but what about all the little stuff? Last years version on Xbox had sponsers and better modes. Just don't understand why they have to change things that worked before.
Hopefully they will correct all the problems next year."

"This game is just impossible. Simply said, impossible.
It's nearly impossible to complete more than a handful of laps without wrecking.
I even have the steering wheel and can't play it.
Realism is out the window.
Here's just some of the problems:
1) You can draft up on cars, but when they draft up on you, they will end up ramming into you and tearing up the rear of your car.
2) While your car takes damage easily, computer cars rarely show damage.
3) When entering the pits, the computer slows the cars way too much allowing you to go from last to first just by out braking the cars into the pits.
4) Crashes are far too dramatic
5) Nearly impossible to build a winning car that runs as well as the computer at harder levels.
6) Guidbook fails to even tell you what the changes do to the car. Hello? Not all of us are mechanics!!!!
7) Graphics are slightly disappointing (most of the screenshots are not from gameplay footage)."

"C'Mon EASports? WTH were you thinking? Next-gen gaming, especially the 360, is dying for a good racer - there really are NONE. And yet after a year and a half you launch this? 1 player? Oh I got it - why spend a few bucks on R&D when instead you can rely on the online community? No sliders for comeptitive AI? Lets see there will be really easy and insanley impossible. Sounds like fun?
And furthermore why do you contune to relaese Nascar 5 months before the season starts? Madden doesn't come out in April? Why does Nascar always come out in August when the first race is February? By the time the season launches the info you provide in the game is not even close - oh that's right lets leave it all on the enduser so thay can update what we miss.
Well if thats the case - post a multiplayer patch!
4 stars for graphics, and minus two for everything else. Final count 2 stars - Dont buy it! But if you must, you should wait til the price is forced to drop to $29.99 on sale soon.
Sell the rights for cryin out loud - you are not doing justice to the sport or the gaming community."

"This game has awesome graphics. And is a little more challenging than the older versions. Setups are not as easy but they make you work a litte harder than the past games.HD rocks!!! If your looking for easy this game might not be for you. It takes patience and practice."

"Can you imagine a 1 player racing game? Well here it is. I remember when the Nascar games allowed up to 4 players. The only multi-player experience here is with online strangers. Heck, I want to play with my family! This game is very weak! Choose something else - don't waste your money."

NEXT GEN HANDLING, LAST GEN A.I.08/26/2007

"This year's version, the first for the "next gen" of consoles, takes HUGE leaps forward. The handling is now very realistic and the chassis tuning is as complex and as real as it gets--the things you do to get a real car handling at Charlotte is the same that you would do to go faster on the game. Complete from the dance with the throttle at Darlington to trying to get the car to handle off of turn 2 at Richmond, this year's handeling engine is very realistic, and by far the best EA has done yet. The graphics are 100% next gen and look great, and the challenges are just that--challenging.
But where EA continues to fall short (as they have for years) is in the "artificial intelligence" of the competition. For example, I can set up a car to run 2-tenths of a second faster than the track record at Las Vegas. On "normal" mode, I easily win the pole and lap cars within 8 laps. But when I step up to "hard", I can qualify (running the exact same time faster than the ACTUAL track record) no better than 40th. There just is no balance between easy and insanely too hard. I would hope that in the future, EA would incorporate some type of A.I. percentage slider, so you can set the compitition level at the pace you desire.
The other drivers are far too agressive in bumping you in the corners, useless at helping you in the draft, and lapped traffic will never give you a break. Other than that, the spotter leaves a lot to be desired, and with the ammount of changes that need to be made now to get a car to handle, it gets very tiring to come back to pit road each time.
I found it great fun to spend hours working on perfecting a setup, but once it came time to race, the fun was very much over. And isn't that what a racing game should all be about? Racing?"
