"This is a great game. Neversoft really stepped up to the plate and kept the series strong. The song list was possibly the best in the GH series. The gameplay is amazing and way better than Rock Band, which is odd since Harmonix created GH. Rock Band's greatest difficulty is having squares instead of circles which makes the hammer-ons and pull-offs hard to distinguish from regular notes. Rock Band also has less intense guitar parts. For more guitar oriented people that need that intensity, Guitar Hero 3 is the way to go."

"i got this last night and the gutiar is bad because i have to hit the notes before the note gets to the line thing where your suppose to hit the note and every once and a while the gutiar throws in a radom note that you didnt even press. also the gutiars not even bluethooth so you have to connect a big reicever into the playstation 3 and the reciever has a long cord so my hangs from over the glass of my entertamint center.(cord is like 3 inches long est.) and im going to return this to bestbuy if they let me"

"I love this game for the PS3 as it is very challenging to keep moving through the difficulty levels. I have been playing all the GH series games so I was pretty seasoned going into this one. The song selection is great and it sounds much better when you are playing to the tracks from the actual bands. On the PS3 they also have guitar "track packs" from many different bands that you can purchase for only a few dollars online, that you can download and play in almost no time. Guitar Hero also puts out free track packs or single songs occasionally for different occasions. I really love this game, will and have recommended to anyone and everyone. I can't wait for Guitar Hero on Tour."

"I bought this game at BB a few weeks ago because of all the great things I had heard from friends about the game. I loved it as soon as I started.
The game was awesome on Easy difficulty. I would miss some notes but had some fun playing.
When I moved up to Medium difficulty the pace seemed much faster. I found it challenging but not so much that I could not handle it after practice.
After I beat Medium I moved on to hard and was only able to eek out through the first song. So now I am in the process of perfect scoring all the songs on easy and medium.
Overall I would say the game is great but the challenge of going from Medium to hard is huge. There is nothing in the game to prepare you for it or even guide you in playing the game on Hard.
I definetely would recommend the product to anyone and everyone. Plus the guitar will be useful when World tour comes out, one of your friends can use it to play as a bass guitar."

"I did not think much of this genre of gaming and felt no reall gamer would buy it. I always so people playing and it looked like fun but I would never buy it. Well never say never my friends, I played with my nephew one night and got hooked on the game that two days later I bought the game and stayed up till 1:40 in the morning playing. If you like music in any sence of the word this game is for you. This is a fun game that does not get old."

"I found the game really fun. I like to turn up the volume on my big screen and my surround sound I get really into it. I think it is very fun. I like the new gameplay type Battle. It's where you battle another person and instead of getting star power, you get battle power which has powerups used to attack your enemy. I also like the slection of songs. It has great old songs like Rock and Roll All Night, but also great new songs like, Before I Forget. The only thing that bugged me was the online play. It is really fun, but it is hard to connect to most of the players. But, the career mode is great. There are loads of things you can buy at the store and it's fun trying to but them are. I really like this game and I would recommend it for and hardcore jammers out there."
