Cons: My boyfriend loves it so much he is constantly playing it!
"I bought this for my boyfriend for his birthday. Its the first video game i have ever bought him in the two yers we have been dating. It was an awesome gift and I even play it as much as he does. I dont play video games but i love this game. There are interviews with aerosmith in the game that are great. It is just a lot of fun and i want to buy it for myself."

"I already wrote a review for the game which is great and so is this guitar the only downfall is where the neck snaps into the body is loose which I fixedby putting a buisness card cut down and folded in half between the body and neck and now its solid, as far as batteries I have been through easy medium and hard career multiple times, online play and still running on the same batteries that come with it I might buy the recharge kit for this if these batteries ever die"

"Ive been a guitar hero fan since the original came out for PS2, and Theyve made some amazing games since then, this one being the best so far. Anyone who likes music will love this game. Because of its many difficulties, small kids through adults can walk up and play a song and get to become a rock star like they dream. I know I love it, why shouldnt you? go out and buy this game!"

"As I place the lightweight guitar over my shoulders, I immediately feel as if I am opening for the greatest rock band that ever performed. This fabulous game can be played alone or with family & friends of all ages(even my 87 year old grandfather jams out!). I have played all types of video games but this is by far the greatest game ever invented. It allows players to play against each other or to create a band and have a career. I love the fact that when you are done with a song, it will give you a percentage of how many notes you hit correctly. It also tells you how many notes you hit correctly in a row! I still remember the night that I switched from "easy" to "medium", I felt like I climbed Mount Everest. This game is fantastic because there is always something new to accomplish. I hope in the future they will make hundreds of songs available for the game."

"I bought this for my teenage son and withing one week one of the buttons stopped working (just as one of his friends guitars did). We exchanged it and it's been working ever since. Loads of fun watching him try to keep up with the screen, and competing with his friends. I also got him Rock Band Special Edition shortly afterwards and I like that it allows more collaberation and not just competing. (My 8 yr old daughter is now a lead singer in their family room band!)"

Playing Guitar Hero III has helped me learn rythm and how to move my hands so that I have since taken up playing the electric guitar. "The only other time I have played this type of game was over at my friends house and at Best Buy. both times were amazing. My dad got it for my birthday and I haven't stop playing ever since! The songs aree fantstic, my personal favorite is Raining Blood. The only thing I suggest strongly is to make sure you have two guitar controllers so that way you can invite a friend over to play. If anything, be sure to have online because when you defeat someone online, it feels sooo good (: Overall, it's a must buy!"

"This game is so cool. It is a lot harder than Rock Band b/c it is harder to hit the orange button on the guitar hero 3 controller. But it is a great game. I like guitar hero 3 better than guitar hero 1 and 2 and I like it better than Rock Band simply b/c it has way better songs than any of those games. It is just more fun than Rock Band. Dont buy Rock Band unless you just want the drums. And you can buy Rock Band with the drums only Thats a way better deal than the $170.00 Rock band. Get this game if you dont have it. You wont believe how fun it is until you actually play it."

Really, really fun

"I bought this game around Christmas, so I had one heck of a time getting it, but it was totally worth it. This is the first Guitar Hero I bought for my 360, and trust me, its way better on 360 than ps3 or wii. Its kinda expensive at 100 bucks, but its worth every penny. The songs are easier than the previous Guitar Heros because of the added hammer-ons, but thats ok. I blew through Expert in like a day, but then I unlocked Through the Fire and Flames, so thats cool. The game has a ton of good songs, ex. Bulls on Parade and Welcome to the Jungle, but a couple of songs that make you wonder what they were thinking when they put them in, like Kool Thing and Black Sunshine.
The wireless guitar that comes with it is awesome too. Its better than the other GH guitars by far, mostly because you can rock out without knocking your system off the shelf. Unfortunatly, my guitar broke, so I sent it in, but that hasn't happened to anyone else I know's guitars.
I would definitly buy the game over Rock Band because the songs are way better and its cheaper...although there are no drums..."

A great installment to the GH series

"GH3 is a very great game. With the competition of Rock Band, it really has to be good. The song list is pretty good. In the carrer mode you have the abiility to face two rock ledgends, Tom Marrelo (Rais Against The Machine) and Slash (Guns N' Roses, Vevlet Revolver, and Slashes Snake Pit). Now there is one more person you battle at the end, but I dont wanna ruin the surprise. One thing your probebly moste excited about is the online play, and i was to. On a bad day, it can take a half hour to find an online match. This can be very stressful at times. One thing im not to fond of is the New controller. Me and many of my freinds all had toruble with the fret buttons working. Most of the time im still using the old x-plorer. The acheivment points are to low. If you beat Through The Fire and Flames on Expert You unlock the inhumane acheivment, wich is worth 15 points. ?!?!?!?!????!!!!! Other than a couple flaws, this a good game over all. This surpases rock band on any level."

Cons: Can't buy an additional wireless guitar yet
"I love the wireless capability of this guitar. The game itself is more intense than Guitar Hero II, and allows you to compete in showdowns against the "Rock Legends", which makes it more challenging. Really fun game, but I wish they'd make the guitar available to buy separately."

Cons: Should have encores similar to GH2
"Overall I love this game. Bought it online from BestBuy. The shipping method leaves a bit to be desired. UPS brings it to the Post Office and the Post Office brings it to your home. Took a couple extra days because of the process. One or the other!!"
