What's great about it: No more cords all over my center console
I got this wire kit installed for my radar detector and have to say it is the best. No more wires hanging all over my center console and I also purchased a rear view mirror bracket to hold my radar detector from somehwere else. However I did by the radar detector from best buy as well. I had their department do install and everything looks very clean and tidy, just how I like it.

What's great about it: Love the green / red light and long cord to place it anywhere
What's not so great: Price. Also, had to change the male end to female for S2000 - should have came with this.
Over priced for what it is but if you want the lights then this is the only way to go.
Should have came with a female adapter. I had to run to radio shack and buy a packet to come back and change it.
The light / mute unit should come with something better than Velcro to hold it down with. This is the reason that I gave it a 4 on "Reliability" instead of a 5.

What's great about it: Painless install and works great
What's not so great: Required use of Pico 0956A to install correctly
Great hardwire but a cleaner install is to use the given harness but add the Pico 0956Aadd a circuit jumper to it or Littelfuse FHA200BP. Then you get a T-Tap and tap into the line provided on the Escort Hardwire harness on the (+)Positive wire. Use ringed wire for ground......and insert the new Pico or Littlefuse end into a keyed switch fuse spot in your fuse box...on BMW it is the HomeLink spot that works best. Run phone connector end behind dash and up to mounting location and you are done.
Recommend checking detector for operational use before you run the wire behind everything...just in case.
Takes longer to remove panels and hide behind trim than it takes for the actual install....then used velcro down low on console semi hidden for mute button.
Great product...

What's great about it: Installed in minutes
What's not so great: One option on the hardwiring side
The wires are long enough to fit most cars, but I would investigate a bit more if installing in an SUV. Also, with regard to the (+) red wire, it would have been nice if an alternate means of attachment to the fuse box were included. Most people have the mini fuses these days, and a jumper attachment that allows you to easily tap the fuse would have been nice and dramatically simplified the installation.
