What's great about it: good range, durable, easy to use
I bought these radios for me and my daughter to communicate while she was at her friend's house (one block away). She is only 6 years old. We love them! Very clear communication, easy to use, and holds a charge for a while. My daughter has dropped the radio many times and is very rough with it while riding her bike or skating. It is holding up great & seems to be very durable.

What's great about it: Privacy
What's not so great: Belt Clip is a little difficult to use
I bought these radios for my family and I to use because we had been using FRS/GMRS radios in the past and had many instances where other users would interfer with our conversation. I never like that fact the sometimes on the FRS radios a third party would use some vulgal language that I didn't want my 3 and 5 year old sons to hear. The privacy is a great feature. I tried using my Uniden 1000 channel scanner to find channel with no luck. I can pick up FRS/GMRS radios with the Uniden scanner in about 30 seconds!
I've found that the range is just the same as any other walike talkie radio that I have ever used.

What's great about it: They look good.
What's not so great: These have no range at all.
Tin cans and a string would get better reception. I bought these for use in a warehouse and they were terrible, we couldn't talk from one end of the dock to the other. Whoever wrote some of those other reviews did not get the same radios we got.

What's great about it: Compact, eazy to use
What's not so great: Want reach more than 30 yards???
They Suck!!! They said that the Range is up to 30 miles, more like 30 yards...I got them in, charged them up, and did not even go 3 blocks from my home.I tried all channels and still nothing.I came back 1 block making it only 2 blocks from my home and it was ok. Now in my home, with both radios, it was very clear, but I really did not want to spend $70.00 to only talk in my house. If i could have gotten at least 2 to 4 miles I would have rated it a little better. Not worth the Money!!!! If anyone knows of some little trick to get them to work,Please let me know. Thanks

What's great about it: Ease of use, compact size and features
What's not so great: none
I recently used a set of TriSquare TSX100-2VP two way radios along with the optional TSX-HX1 headsets also by TriSquare during my annual hunting trip. I must say I have used several different brands of radios in the past during these trips with little success. To me, Communication is a necessity to ensure that everyone is aware of where other hunters in my party are at and that we all returns safely. A safe trip is a successful trip! The TSX100-2VP by far out preformed any other radio that I have used in the past. We were using the radios on 120 acres and never lost communication once. Now add in a few of the features that the TriSquare radios have such as up to 1000 channels, water-resistant and the optional head sets I could not ask for more. After using the TriSquare radios for hunting, I thought of all the different ways to that I could use these radios in my day to day life, children, work around the house; you get the picture the list goes on and on.
For my money, there is no better two way radio then the TriSquare products.

What's not so great: NONE
I work in a medical facility where radios are needed and let me tell you we have had some static radios , some I can't hear you radios ! Very light in weight . These are by far the clearest radios I have ever heard and I recommend them to everyone. We also are into old cars and bought another set as to talk with cars in front or behind us.. THEY ARE GREAT

What's great about it: Strong, Clear, Private Signal; Tough Little Radio
What's not so great: Buttons Easy to Hit
I tested these radios under varying conditions -- first in a 450,000 sq. ft. postal facility and then at a local medieval fair, where I am the Director of Operations.
The analog walkie-talkies normally used in our postal facility require a repeater to talk from one end of the building to the other. I wanted to see how well the digital would work in our facility (pure curiosity). My boss kept one in his office at the front of the building and I took the other out to our back docks. The TriSquare radios accomplished a clear signal through three cinder block walls and numerous large mail processing machines, giving an excellent signal where the analog radios wouldn't have given an understandable signal at all. It was quite acceptable.
At the medieval fair, I used a pair of these radios for my own private communication with one of my direct reports, augmenting the fifteen analog radios the owner had rented for the team. I found the TriSquare's Call button to be a tremendous help, as I was often carrying on three conversations at a time (two radios and one in-person). The TriSquare worked like a Nextel, allowing me to finish one conversation before starting another.
I used the belt clip which came with the radio, while the other person used a small pouch-style bag. It held up with no problems.
I dropped my radio several times (I was continually setting it down and juggling radios and a cell phone). It never even hiccuped despite several drops.
The battery lasted two solid days at the festival, never giving any sign of running out. As an aside, I was using two radios, so it wasn't utilized for ALL of my communications. IMHO it would have done quite well with a combination of rechargables and battery packs to take the entire fair staff to this hand-set.
I did discover one issue: I found myself occasionally hitting the buttons accidentally, which were slightly over-large. This wasn't critical, though I hit the Call button on occasion. A suggestion for future upgrades: Place a touch-dot on the Call button so it can be found by touch without looking down at the radio?
I will be using these radios later this year for my team for a convention in Ohio -- gradually picking up more radios as I can afford them. They are turning out to be a nice addition to the work I do. I'm very satisfied with them.

What's great about it: Interference Free Communications, along with Private and Secure
I work closely with the maintenance department in a 550,000 sq.ft. facility. There are several production lines and as many mechanices, the TriSquare two-ways were purchased to enhance communications between mechanics, leads and supervisors that a regular walkie talkies couldn't provide. The many features of the two-way were a plus as well, primarily the interference free, privacy and range to name a few. These radios work great for our needs.

These are nifty little radios.
In thick woods with gradual sloping hills/dirt roads, I got about a quarter mile of clear communications between the two radios. Not bad for 900 Mhz--worked a bit better than I expected.
In open farm land, I got a little less that two miles out of them. Again, better than I expected.
All in all, these are really nifty. Like a poor man's (me)version of a Motorola DTR550.
Can't beat the price.
