great value for a 10in. sub

What's great about it: sounds very good in a medium sized room
What's not so great: no vol. control when using a sound bar with rca hook up
"I"m happy with the sub's sound (used 4 movies&music) but when turn my sound bar down the sub stays at the set vol. until i'm down to 0 vol. ??? .Can anyone tell me whats wrong or thats the way it work with a powerd sub?"

What's great about it: the sound

"I hooked this baby up to my yamaha receiver rx-v465 (Which I bought from you) and the sound of the sub just blew me away. The hook up was easy and I'm not a techno wiz. I never jumped watching Underworld Rise of the Lycns but with the new sub I jump about 6 times in the first 45 minutes. It's great and so worth it."

Great addition to a home theater

What's great about it: Easy to set up, sounds great, great price
What's not so great: Power saver
"I have been using this sub for about a week now and it sounds great. I upgraded from a passive sub to this one and it makes a world of difference. The only knock I have on it is the power saver feature. When watching TV or movies without much bass it will go into standby after only a few minutes. When the receiver needs the bass again it takes about 3-5 seconds for it to power up. Simple solution is to just turn the power saving feature off. Otherwise I love this sub."

What's great about it: Quality and PRICE
What's not so great: N/A
"I was hesitant to buy this at first because of the low price but I couldn't be happier. We have had our sound system for a couple years now without a woofer and decided it was time to add one. I opted for this one thinking it will just be enough bass to complement our movies but it actually has quite a punch. Our room is probably 15' x 15' and it fills it perfectly. Obviously at only 100 watts it isn't going to shake the floor and rattle all your furnature but for the casual user looking to add to your system, there is nothing better."

What's great about it: I love the energy safer feature.
What's not so great: So far I dont have any complaints...I think its a great product.
"I had been shopping around for a subwoofer, and was forunate enough to find this 10'' Sony sub. Since I already have a Sony recieiver it was really easy to hook up. The power is great and overall I am satisfied with the product. I can honestly say it was definetly worth the $100 i spent."

What's great about it: Looks good
What's not so great: Very low volume. No wall shaking bass sound
"Its a nice looking speaker, but it does not have that room filling bass rumble that you want from your home theater system. I was hoping for a little more from Sony. Totally disappointed."

What's great about it: This sub adds tremendous depth to your home theaters sound system.
What's not so great: This sub is an eye sore in a small apartment and it stopped working about a year after I bought it.
"I’m sorry to say my Sony 10” Sub has just died. After just over one year of purchasing it the thing just stopped working. But, in its defense I did leave it on 24/7.
My home theater system just isn’t the same with out it. In fact, I’m going to purchase another one of these subs because the sound quality is so great for such a low price. And, this time I will be more mindful of turning it off so maybe it will last a little longer this time!"

What's great about it: Easy set up, comes with cord. good power for a low price
What's not so great: nuthing so far
"i bought this yesterday for my room and it is powerfull enough to give me the bass that i want but not too powerfull as to shake my entire house or to possible give me a noise complaint from my neighbors. I really like the auto-off feature so i dont have to reach down and manually shut it off every time."

What's not so great: it died after 9 months of working
"I 've always have bought sony products but this thing just crapped on me and i don't know why.I've only had it nine mnths and now it don't work.I get it is a $100 sub but it shouldn't just not work anymore.If sony doesn't repair it I will not be replacing it w/ another one.I'd be warry of this one and apparently you get what you pay for."

"for a $100, you really cant go wrong. i use this sub for my 7.1 surround sound system and it delivers great bass for the size of my room. bigger rooms may need a bigger sub, but this was more than enough for me. if you use your surround sound to watch TV everyday, make sure you disable the auto off feature."

"The sound is decent for the price, but it produces a pretty dull bass. Works fine for my little house, but would definitely prefer stronger sound and more definition.
But then again, I'm used to $3000 subs.. so who's to complain for $99."
