What's great about it: picture is great; good options to optimize
What's not so great: remote is dorky
I bought this at a steal for $17.50 as they were clearancing out this model - I couldn't pass it up.
The 1080p looks outstanding with component on my xbox 360,and the blu-ray is crazy good. No complaints for me.

What's great about it: The picture is great! Sound is great. Excellent color enhancement.
What's not so great: None
This is the best HDTV flat panel, ever!!! It delivers a superb high quality picture. Excellent color enhancement. Great sound. We are happy with LG. This TV does not have a glare to the screen! Watching anything in HD gives the best, crisp and clear picture imaginable. The V-Chip parental controls are another bonus.
You can't go wrong with this!

What's great about it: Clean colorful crisp picture. Easy to use.
What's not so great: Definition of deep blacks not fantastic, but picture is still great.
This TV is possibly the greatest purchase I ever made for myself. I can take full advantage of all my 1080p peripherals...and my goodness do they look spectacular. Whenever I spend a large amount of money, I always get nervous as to whether or not I will be happy with my purchase and can justify it in the end.
With this TV...I definitely justify the purchase, and am very happy.

What's great about it: beautiful picture, fast response, came with free chair
What's not so great: a little heavy, dynamic picture settings are useless
I'm very happy with this TV. I picked it up for $2599 on sale including free massage chair, otherwise I wouldn't have spent the $3299 list price. The fast 5ms response looks great with xbox360 games, which you can actually run in 1080p. Looks sharp with DVI to HDMI computer hook-up also.
The dynamic/automatic settings really go over the top with contrast and color. You need to go with the user settings to get a lifelike picture that wont burn your eyes out. The menu options are pretty basic and easy to use. Once adjusted, everything looks great.
Set is a bit heavier than others, 108lbs, so make sure you have a decent stand to put it on.
Remote is a little cheesy with the slide open base for a few useless buttons. Fortunately, you will probably be using your cable HD box remote anyway, so it doesnt matter.

What's great about it: Wonderful Picture from all sides of the room

We purchased the LCD TV in November. Along with the home theater surround sound. Along with using Best Buys Home consultation service. I have to tell you the professionalism and knowledge of products is uncomparable. The TV pic is absolutely everything my husband and I wanted. And what a pic for the Sprint Cup Bud Shoot out! With our surround sound I was thrilled! (My driver won too.) WOW! LG is awsome. I am also looking at their French door refrigerators. Cell phones, .... Great products!

I bought this set after almost a year of doing my homework. I went to all the stores,read consumer reports,etc. I had bought the 37" lg for my bedroom about 4 mos. earlier and absolutely loved it! I was looking at a bigger set,the 61" samsung dlp,but becouse my living room is relatively small,the side viewing was terrible with the dlp sets. I added an LG home theater system recently and love it also.I'm now ready to buy a refrigerator and am looking at LG products for everything.I'm extremely pleased with everything LG makes...BUY THIS SET, it's awesome.Also Best Buy folks are the BEST! P.S. I hooked up my PS3 the other day,and between picture and sound system,we can't stop playing!!

What's great about it: Bright picture, good size, great menu
What's not so great: not the best picture, dlp is much clearer pixal wize
I purchased a Toshiba 62" DLP in 2005 and had many problems with it. Upgraded to the LG 52" as it was one of the better looking ones in the store.
Its ok, no where near as crisp and flowing as the DLP and its 10" larger even on HD stations. BUT DLP had many flaws too, just straite on picture was fantasic with it. The back screws to hold onto a wall mount are further apart than normal. Had to get one that fits a 55".
On the positive the picture is bright, and is viewable from many angles.
May take the tv back and get something different, or pay the extra cash and get the top of the line Sony or Samsung.
Sales people and staff were FANTASTIC, very customer friendly, takes there time, and explains EVERYTHING. One of the best stores I have ever visited, will be back for sure for all purchases.

This is by far the best purchase made. The features and picture quality are second to NONE. True to Life Images beyond description. Wonderful Customer Service at LG - we called them with questions about the cable card feature and they were wonderful to work with. Can not say enough good things about this TV.
