What's great about it: Small size and crisp sound
What's not so great: No complaints
"Compares favorably to the Bose wave radio in terms of sound but without the hefty price tag. Could not believe the reproduction of sound that comes out of it. It's small enough for an end table allowing your I-pod to be at your fingertips. Could not be happier."

What's great about it: Big sound for a great price
"This is a great sound system. If you are looking for a big sound at a reasonable price point, consider this product. I did my homework before purchasing and many of the reviews compared the sound of the Klipsch to that of a Bose system. I have to agree. For the money the Klipsch SXT is a great buy!"

What's great about it: Very small size, simple plug and play setup, price
What's not so great: nothing!
"All-in-all a great product. I've owned mine for 3 months now and I've put it through everything from contemporary to screamo and dance. This player in a smaller room can come off a little heavy on the bass but will level off perfectly in a larger room (12x14 and larger) and in my opinion sounds even better in a bigger environment. The speakers will need to break in a bit. You may be put off a little at first but let it play and adjust your ipod's EQ settings accordingly.
Remember this is a simple plug and play system. No gadgetry. And if it is powered off and you pick up your remote and hit play, it'll turn on and have music playing in about one second. If the power was already on it is even quicker. This player is worth every bit of $150.
Lastly, do not compare this with audiophile type systems like Monitor Audio and AAD. It's a $150. Not $4,000. Keep your expectations within reason."

What's great about it: East to set up; good aesthetics
What's not so great: Sound quality is moderate; buttons are "mushy"
"I did some research and figured I was at the right place with this product. The manufacturer is respected, puts out quality products, and it was ranked pretty highly by other users. I was upgrading from an iHome product. At first I thought it was great but after a month I've noticed that the sound quality isn't what it was cracked up to be (even given that it's under $200). The remote doesn't work consistently; you have to be right up on it which defeats the whole purpose of a remote. And the buttons on the product itself are mushy... you have to "move up and down" with the sound buttons to get to the level you want; when you're turning sound down it either doesn't change at all or suddenly nears mute and the opposite when increasing volume. Overall I'm thinking I'll move it to the guest room and buy something else."

"Got this system for christmas. It has an Awsome sound. I would go so far as to compare it to the sound quality of the bose system. The price is also a great plus compared to bose systems price. Just has a Clear Great sound even with the volume all the way up. If you are looking for a portable system for you ipod with a great sound and a resonable price this is what you are looking for."

What's great about it: Good size, basic & easy to use and it sounds like the speaker would be much bigger until you see what it looks like.
What's not so great: I just wished it would hold batteries for on the go.
"This little bad boy is awesome, I bought it for my wife on Christmas Eve, and after spending half an hour I could not decide which one to get at the $150 level. It was either the Klipsch or JBL. After hearing the micro JBL I was not impressed unless you intend not to put the volume to the max, so I thought the bigger JBL's would be better since they are bigger. Unfortunately I was not able to test the speakers at the store, so I took the expertise advise of a Bestbuy salesperson and he told me the Klipsch was a much better sounding speaker than the JBL. Let me tell you, he was right, this speaker was going to be used at my wife's desk at work but after pumping the sound for most of the night when she opened her gift, we decided this toy was staying at home. The bass and clarity is amazing, if you listen to hip hop you may need to reduce the IPOD's bass, but anything else it handled it perfectly. I was not going to pay $299 or $399 for a Bose and I am glad I didn't."

"Perfect match for my expectations. Listen to a lot of classic rock at the office. Those songs whose words you can't quite make out in your car stereo are clear with the iGroove at any volume.
Best placement was in the corner on top of a chest high book case.
Has performed perfectly for twelve months. For the money I could not be more satisfied.
Remote is worthless. It's in my desk drawer. Enough said."

What's great about it: looks, controls, functionality, sound is perfect
"I won this through a charity raffle. I was going to simply sell in on eBay or Amazon Marketplace, but I wanted to turn it on to make sure it worked.
After listening to one song, I wasn't sure if I wanted to sell it anymore. After listening to about 10 more songs, I was sold. I don't really need it, but this thing sounds so great that I will make sure I find a use for it.
This thing could easily function as a sound system for a party or out on the patio hanging out by the pool in the summer. Very powerful for such a compact system. Great bass, great sound. The iGroove definitely lives up to the Klipsch name."

"the klipsch sxt sound system for your ipod is a great buy. for under $200, this ipod speaker can't be beat. hdmi output instead of svideo would be great but at that price, who can complain? the remote control doesn't offer as much freedom as some of its similar competitor models but does the job just fine as far as play/pause, next, previous, and power. an equalizer would be a great addition for all of the audiophiles out there but i suppose the ipod has one of those built in anyhow. overall, i give it two thumbs up. great sound that won't break the bank."

ok, it is no doubt the best ipod speaker for sound quality for less than 150 dollars. Period.

Totally disappointment with the remote. All it does is power on , volume up down. Klipsch forgot to handle playlists for the remote...in my opinion that sucks........and they want to sell this for 150 american dollars!!!!
Returning this one to Bestbuy right now and going for the yamaha ipod speakers."

What's great about it: Little to no distortion at high volume. Reallly good though though not excellent sound quality
What's not so great: seems to add on more bass than I woud like
"it doesnt give you the feeling that you are at a concert and I think you'd probably get that feeling more with the Bose ipod speaker which I think I'll trade up to; I'm willing to pay over or nearly double the price for that experience. I went into the sound settings of my ipod and checked 'bass reducer' but the speaker still gives it too much bass albeit w/o distortion and at high volume. They remind me of Grado headphones- great sound but could still do better at studio reproduction. The Klipsch doesn't seem to deliver the detailed sound that I was hoping for. And if you care about the remote, you won't like that it is not a RF meaning that you have to point right dead center of it for it to work.
The bottom line is if you are on a tight budget and you are more of a tv snob than a sound snob, you like lots of bass anyhow, then get this speaker. But if detailed sound is what you are after, then fork out the extra cash and get the Bose. It's a one time buy anyhow. These days, a big deal is made out of tv resolution but what about 'sound resolution?"

What's not so great: Charges Iphone 3g...but that's about it. Still able to receive calls though.
"Excellent product and sound for the footprint it has. Easily fills a 20 by 30 room nicely. What I do is while charging my Iphone 3g in its base (the airplane mode will want to turn on but...just say no) if you still want to receive calls, I hook up my Airport Express through it with the stereo mini input it has in the back and I'm playing Itunes or streaming radio through it wirelessly and it sounds great!"

What's great about it: base is very good (KLIPSH always has nice base. highs better than expected, overall for price WELL worth it
What's not so great: NO battery option
"Purchased 2+ years ago-NO PROBLEMS at all so far and use every day.
I had a Polk mini IPOD system which was slightly better on highs but lacked in base.
Fills a large 25 by 35 room nicely-sound is warm and BASE IS GOOD. Remote has some lag time but I hesitated mentioning as it is minimal. Overall very good product for price range. I do wish it was more portable-ie. ran on batteries. Mine fits every IPOD I have - 2nd gen 20 gig, current Itouch and 120 gig Ipod. BUY THIS unless you want to use as travel sound device. If travel is what is needed ther are $400-$500 units that should be considered."
