What's great about it: Very quiet

I've only had the unit installed for about a month and only had to use it a couple of times, but so far the unit is working very well. The compressor runs so quietly that I actually walked outside the first time I used it to make sure it was on. The remote works well and has all the functions you would want: fan speed, fan only, cool, temperature, econo mode, etc. It's also nice that you can choose to use the thermostat built into the remote, so you can pinpoint the temperature of the area that you want to cool.

I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: It Works

What's not so great: Must install 22o volt outlet

This unit works great. Do not be dicouraged because of the 220 volt operation. The reason larger appliances use 220 is that it uses less energy running at a higher voltage. Running a 220 line is not very hard just look around the DIY websites for info on running a 220 volt outlet. Depending on where you live zoning codes may require you to wire a disconnect box between this unit and your breaker box. You can do it!

What's great about it: Works great. Lots of power. Nice feature set. Decent instructions and mounting hardware. Good price for such a powerful

What's not so great: Instructions were not as clear as I would like, but I managed OK.

I just recently purchased and installed this unit and my initial impressions are all good. Everything works great and if it has reliable performance over the long haul it will easily be the best window unit I have ever purchased, and I have gone through a lot of different units over the years. Because I have only begun to operate the unit I have held back a star from the rating.
It is recommended that 2 people install the unit due to the weight, but, believe it or not, I completely installed this cooling monster all by myself. The instructions were pretty good and all the mounting hardware was present and easy to implement.
If you need a high-end window air conditioner with a full range of features and massive cooling power, you can't do much better than this one.
P.S.- Just in case you don't know about high-end air conditioners( 18,000BTU - 25,000BTU ) they all have greater power requirements (Electrical) than the smaller models. If you think you can get one of these and plug it into a standard 3-prong outlet you will be very upset. I researched this purchase before I bought and the only negative comments I found we're all regarding this. 120V will not feed this bad boy. You will need 230V/20A power if you want to run with the big boys.
