What's great about it: nothing
What's not so great: everything
"I bought this machine at Best Buy to use at home. It took me a whole week trying to set up the wireless print option. Even with Tech support (which is the worst) I could not install this printer to work wirelessly. I finally hard wired it to my PC to get it to work, It printed a beautiful test photo. Never did get to the point I could print from my laptop. I returned the machine and traded it for an Epson Workforce 600 ( after extensive review research). I had it set up on my PC and laptop in a matter of about 30 minutes. I do not recommend this machine for anything. I have always been a firm believer in HP products, but not any more. I will not buy another. If I could give it less than 1 star I would!!!!"

excellent wireless photo-printer

What's great about it: Very easy to connect to 802.11N wireless Network
What's not so great: it's big & photo paper tray only fits 4'X6" paper and smaller.
"I bought it to use on my home wireless network. I have a 802.11N belkin wireless router. The 2 PC's in the house are Toshiba Laptops with Vista. If you can imagine a triangle with corners 40' apart, thats our set up. Router in living room, the HPC7280 in a bedroom and my wife and I using our laptops in a den.
Having set up other wireless printers in the past I expected to have to wire directly to the router to establish initial communication. Nope. This was SO SIMPLE to install. Turn it on, follow step by step quick prompts and on screen display and poof your ready to install CD on all the PC's in your house.
When you install the software on your PC it wants you to print a 4X6 picture to verify set up is properly working. Boy was that picture sharp. It really looked like one from the photomart. If your looking for a quality printer for wireless, you can't go wrong with this one."

Greatest wireless combo printer/scanner/copier

What's great about it: Get rid of your old cables and put this printer anywhere you like.
What's not so great: Me owning a wireless router yet using conventional USB cables for too long.
"I'll never use cables again. My wife and I have this puppy set on top of our high dresser (where the baby can't reach it) and could really put it in any room or floor in the house. No more cables for me. Tired of the tangles. And Qualiity??? This is the one here. The price also can not be beat."

What's great about it: Reliable; separate color cartridges; 4x6 photo tray
What's not so great: Hate the loud reset after use
"We have always had good luck with HP printers. But, we decided to buy the Kodak last year on the recommendation of a friend. I could not get it going properly. That happens. But, what caused me to eventually return it was that I could not get any tech support. Despite numerous attempts to contact them, I got NO response. So, I threw up my hands and returned it to Best Buy for the HP.
Best Buy took the Kodak back willingly for the HP. And I am so glad I switched! The printer is trouble-free. And I love the separate color cartridges. I replace only those colors which are depleted (they cost only $8.99), rather than throwing out a whole color cartridge because red is gone. And I know, with HP, tech support is at my fingertips. I'll never leave HP again!"

What's great about it: Nice quality photos and many features
What's not so great: printer jams about every other print job
"I paid a good amount of money for this printer - it does have a long list of great features. However, I only print a couple of times a week and it seems to jam just about every other time I use it! Also, I don't believe that the ink cartridges that come with the Photo Pack are as full of ink as individually bought ones..."

What's great about it: Very simple wireless setup, photo quality

"I almost bought a different printer after reading some reviews concerning the setup of this printer. Now that I have it I'm really glad that I bought it. I can't imagine being able to buy a better all-in-one for the $210 that I paid for this machine. Is it a little noisy sure and yes it does shake when printing but I have it set up in a room all by itself. I have two laptops and one desktop along with this printer on a wireless network and haven't had any problems to date. The setup itself was very simple and I am by no means a techno geek.While I wouldn't consider the photos lab quality (my girlfriend would)they certainly are very nice. And if you consider the price of the printer I couldn't realistically expect better. Right from the word go this has been an excellent purchase. My girlfriend, her son, and I absolutely love this printer. I would highly recommend this all-in-one."

"I needed a wirless, all-in-one that prints decent photos. The set up was easy, and the photo quality is outstanding. It works well form both of my home computers. It probably took me two hours from opening the box, to getting it up and connected to my network. If I can do it, you can."

"We were originally disappointed that the two sided printing feature has a bug, but figured that future driver updates would fix that.
However, about 1.5 weeks after we installed it, we noticed slow start up and other Vista problems. After troubleshooting and finding the record logs on the computer (we have only had our new HP Vista computer for about 2 months), we found that the printer has been slowly degrading the stability of Vista. We had to completely remove all printer related software, and are seeing slow improvements. Sadly, our discovery was 16 days after purchase, which made it impossible to return this useless and costly printer!
I repeat: do not buy this printer if you have a Vista powered HP computer (possibly others too but that's all I can personally attest to)."

"I've had this printer for awhile and features and print quality are excellent. The individual ink colors are great so you don't waste ink when only 1 color runs out. Just buy an extra set of ink cartridges to have on hand for a quick change. HP offers a kit with all the replacement inks plus photo paper for a reasonable price. I don't recommend installing any of the software beyond the driver (which I would recommend downloading the latest driver from the HP web site anyway!)"

The software takes a long time to load ,after loading ,it did not work properly.It took all day to get this printer software to work.Called tech support three times.The software that came with the printer did not load all the software correct.Finally one of the techs had me to load the software from the internet,now its working find.Basic instruction need improving."

What's not so great: Cycles loud, uses TONS of ink, software compatibility issues with Vista
"I prefer HP printers; however, I am extremely disappointed in this one. The ink cartridges don't last a hoot, not to mention there are 6 cartridges for use with this printer (black, plus 5 colors). Sometimes one color will run out before the others so you're forced to run to the store to pick up one color at a time or buy lots of extra sets for each color. What a hassle! Super noisy and always having software compatibility issues. Lots of times the printer seemsto just stall. I have to unplug the darn thing to get it back. Jams constantly. I have and will continue to talk people out of purchasing this printer!"

"i had to replace my previous hp photosmart all in one and found this one. it has all the requriements for someone who on occasion, will need a copier & fax machine. i love the pull thru feeder at the top of the printer and that the option to go wireless is there if i want it in the future. the slots for the sd cards for my digital camera & video camera are very convenient.
it's compact size is great for an apartment. overall, very happy with it.....just wish it came in black or black/grey combo."

"Where do I begin? Software works occasionally. Printer says paper jam but nothing is jammed. Will only feed 12 sheets through the scanner before it says paper jam. Can't scan legal documents on the flatbed scanner. Uses ink like I have stock in HP. Tech support doen't exist. Spent a total of about 12 hours trying to resolve issues. I would not recommend this product and probably won't buy anything HP again."

"This HP C7280 All-in-One printer is a somewhat decent printer for the price. The printer provides a few excellent features like wireless and networking capabilities, fast prints in draft mode, multiple inexpensive color cartridges ($10 each), and it’s esthetically pleasing. However, with the printer only being a few weeks old, I’ve noticed several issues. The first issue is with the duplexer, I spent 1.5 hours on the phone with HP to discover that I have to use an alternative print driver (Deskjet 990c) for the duplexer to work. The other issues deal with the printer freaking out! Twice already I’ve noticed the lights on the printer flash like in some emergency state and reboots. Then there was a paper jam, coincidence it happened on the first print? Maybe, but I know these happen with all printers from time to time. Overall this is an okay printer with lots of features. I would only recommend if purchased on sale."
