I went into Best Buy looking for a LCD TV. Saw the picture on last years model Mitsubishi and thought that wasn't bad. The store manager steered me to the new Diamond series explaining how it was even better than the old model on display in the Magnolia room. I bought it sight unseen and I haven't been disappointed one bit! Unfortunately I was one of those who chose HD-DVD over Blue-Ray, but the HD-DVD picture is incredible. Now if I can get rid of that lousy Comcast box, things will be even better.
What's great about it: Great picture & nice wide viewing area
What's not so great: none

By far the best tv i have owned, i bought this tv for my living room its unbelievable with blu-ray and hd dvd. I was also wanting a new tv for my bedroom as my 42" plasma was to small after seeing the mits. I had first got a 61" samsung slim line 1080P got it home and the screen was bad when i got the new one it was worse called samsung and they were completly helpless so long story short i got another 65"mits could not be happier. I would say the only bad thing is that your friends wont ever want to leave and they say "i think im gonna come back and steal one of your tv" in other words GET THIS TV

I bought this TV after researching all day long on Black Friday. I got it for the Black Friday price of 2200$, which was superb. Regardless of that special sale this TV is a bargain. Its 1080p and my PS3 blu rays and HD DVD through my Xbox 360 look incredible. The blue accent lights look awesome as well. I've had a bunch of my friends come over and all have been super impressed. My buddy Nick is very seriously considering buying this TV. Its also very light, which was nice when setting it up. The contrast between colors is very good also. I've read reviews by some magazines that say they dont like this or that about the picture (mostly the color wheel). Well I consider myself someone who is fairly avid about there AV equipment, but NOT a professional so to speak. Anyone out there thats looking for a sick TV with a great picture and a good price will like this one. The guy/girl that wont like it is the one who nit picks everything under the sun. The only way your going to get a 65" with a better picture is by spending 5000$ or more, and for that money I say no. I rather spedn that extra $2000+ on something else. Go buy a PS3 for your blu rays, a nice home theater setup if you dont have one already, and the nice HDMI cables and you'll be good to go.
Only downfall is I cant use the PIP with 2 HDMI inputs, 1 being my cable box and the other being a video game (or whatever other HDMI source you use).
What's great about it: Great price, Great picture, 4 HDMI inputs
What's not so great: Cannont use PIP with 2 HDMI inputs

I got this TV and was really happy with it for an about a week. It was too big!! I have a big living room and I was sit far back to watch the whole movie or show, and I began to feel sick. At first I was think it was me but then I had friends over and a few got sick watching the hockey game. But best buy was great and took the TV back and set me up with 50 in LG. Thanks best buy you are a man’s really best friend
What's great about it: Great pic and cheap price for full 1080p
What's not so great: ITS TO BIG

I looked at several tvs and this one was not on the floor i took achance and it's awesome does everything you need and more also the price is excellent kids movies on 480p look 3d i'm more than happy and impressed. if your looking for a large DLP you will not be remotely disappointed

What's not so great: no yellow video in front for kids toys

I bought this television for my husband in May and had it delivered to the house the day he got back in town. We both LOOOVVVEEE this TV. All our relatives have the Sony's but for the price you cannot beat this tv. I actually watch football now with an off air HD tv antenna and the picture is immaculate. I can see the sweat dripping off heads and the smallest divets in the grass from cleats. I would never buy another brand again!

I have had this tv for 2 weeks. At first I was watching the regular channels and the picture was a little grainy. I wondered if I made the right choice for a big screen HDTV. Then I remembered about the HD channels and WOW!!!! The picture difference is incredible. There is no noise coming from the tv as I had read from other reviews. I have already recommended this tv to my friends. They have come over and seen it, and they can't stop watching it with me.

It really is a nice tv, very nice to watch dvd's on, but it refuses to work after a little over a year. Thank goodness for extended warranties, I highly recommend it for this one.
What's great about it: Beautiful picture and clearity
What's not so great: 6 service call and repairs, still wont work

I bought this tv the friday after Thanksgiving and got an awesome deal! After purchasing the tv I have nothing bad to say. Other people said they heard a humming noise however I haven't heard anything yet. I thought the picture was great then I upgraded my Directv package to HD now the picture is Awesome! I would reccomend this tv to those not worried about the price.
What's great about it: Plenty of hookups and great DLP picture!

We bought this 2 months ago so we have had ample time to test this...It is an awesome tv..The color is outstanding and the picture and sound is so clear. We even enjoy the commercials...LOL My wife has actually started watching football with me believe it or not because with our surround sound turned up, it is just like being at the game...For the price, its a steal..

What's not so great: none, just wish I could afford 2

At four months, "central brain" had to be replaced. At eight months, completely quit working again. Buy an extended warranty, you will most likely need it.
What's great about it: Great picture when working
What's not so great: Two complete breakdowns in eight months

The TV has a beauiful picture. The shiny black color and the blue lights at the bottom of the TV gives the TV a sexy look. I like the 3 HDMI connection in the back. I can hook up a Blu-ray DVD player and a HD DVD player at the same time. The split screen is also a nice touch.

Only top-of-the-line Sony can match this picture quality. Make sure you have a good 15 feet from the 65" tv screen, because it is too bright from 10-12 feet. Buy hdmi v1.3 rated cables for best picture. Great purchase for anyone looking for newest features on a 1080p set.
What's great about it: Bright and Detailed with new x.v. deep color, hdmi v1.3
What's not so great: A little too bright. Bulb only 3000 hrs rated.

I have always been leary of large screen TVs, hearing they are blurry and go out quickly. Not so with the Mitsubishi Diamond 65" 1080p DLP HDTV. The picture is crystal clear, beautiful color and easy set up. Also, it is amazingly light for its size. My husband and I moved it with no effort what-so-ever! The price is good compared to other dealers. An excellent investment and great product.
What's great about it: Clarity, price, mobility

I highly recommend this television for its clarity and amazing picture. One very good quality that is never mentioned is it's versatility. When i was assemblying the mount, i thought it would be a daunting task because i was all alone but nonetheless, i tackled the task to lift and mount the television and to my surprise, this television was not as heavy as i thought. Now, it should be at least a two person lift but you will see, with two people, this television is easily moved unlike televisions of the past that need a forklift to move. So for your enthusiast who feel it is important to rearrange your furniture to include your televisions, you will see this model will fit your needs.

We had the tv for almost one year now and we have been very satisfied with it compared with the 57" 1080i capable from a leading brand. This is already our 2nd mitsubishi TV. Our first one is the 36" CRT that we bought when it first came out of the market and up to now the picture is still as good as the first time we turned it on. The price would seem a little bit on the high side but comparing it with the features of comparable models from other brands it is worth it. The picture in this 65" DLP is so amazing that you feel the players in an NFL game viewed from an HDTV station would be coming out of the screen.

We purchased last years model of this tv. The Diamond kind is the best. It is the most clearest, vibrant picture I have seen. Especially with HD channels. The picture adjusts to the room, if it is dark it turns lighter. Great product. We would of gotten the bigger one if it fit in our entertainment center.
