What's great about it: just does what it was built to do
What's not so great: messy
got at thanksgiving sale for $15 bucks, great deal and works the best i've ever had, use it almost everyday so far no compliants

What's great about it: pops great
What's not so great: not durable, clear cover hard to clean
I bought a refurbished one at Comp USA in Feb , It worked great for 6 months. Now it no longer heats up and one of the plastic clips that hold it onto the base has broken off. Maybe you'll have better luck with a new one. It made popcorn very fast but the fluted top made it hard to clean.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: Simplicity, my 7 year old can work this!
What's not so great: NOTHING did I mention it was GREAT
I read one of the previous reviews on this and I have to DISAGREE completely and say that it is GREAT...if you know how to use it. The lid stays on you just have to make sure you hear it lock before turning it over...not hard to do at all! It will only burn if you let it burn, as long as you follow the instructions this would be a GREAT buy for you after all it's Cuisinart!
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: pretty
What's not so great: bar becomes loose, lid not secure, does not auto shut off
This is a piece of junk. I think you can find something better on the shelf than this. I would not even rate a 1 but had to give it a rating. The bar going in circles loosens and have to keep tightening. Is supposed to have auto shut off and it does not..if you leave it gets black and burned and smells and smokes. Not for teens or anyone to handle because the lid does not stay on, its just there and dangerous to flip with the steam.The popcorn is chewy and does not taste good- save your money buy mircrowave bags or look around here for something better- this one may have a great name behind it but its cheap and not worth the money.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
