Don't buy the 110s - I just returned a pair. Buy the SE115s instead - I just purchased and Shure has corrected the problems with the 110s - excellent bass, much improved overall sound quality, less noise when touching cables.

What's great about it: Great Bass, Very Comfortable, Awesome Noise Reduction
What's not so great: Price, Cord is designed weird
These are by far the best headphones I've ever had. They're a bit pricey, but definitely worth it. They come with the rubber and foam earbuds to insure a great and comfortable fit. The bass on them is really deep, but it doesn't "punch" as hard as I'd like. The cord for the headphones is designed a little funny; they made it so that it has to wrap around your ear. It's still comfortable, but just feels weird. Overall, great headphones!

What's great about it: Good sound quality and the best Sound isolation
What's not so great: They Only lasted me for a year however.....
This earphones sound very good and isolate sound up to 80 % of ambient noise , they stylish and come with nice bag to put them in , the Soft earplugs are the best and they can be washed , the only real problem with this earphones comes from the lack of durability , they only lasted a year before one of the sides started losing sound , the good thing is that they come with a 2 year warranty from Shure so you will not be too much time without your earphones .
Overall they score an 8.7 in my book

What's great about it: Great noise isolation
What's not so great: Doesn't sound better than V-Moda Bass Freq but costs much more
I have some V-Moda Bass Freq's that sound pretty good though they are a little heavy on the bass, and they have a little distortion in some songs. After reading some reviews I decided to pony up the dough and get these to get rid of the distortion and really bring out the depth in my music.
I was very disappointed! I could hear almost NO difference in clarity, and the same distortion I had with my $30 headphones was still there! I took them right back and Best Buy was great about refunding my money.
I guess short of spending more than I'm willing to spend my Bass Freq's will have to do.

What's great about it: sound quality & sound isolation
What's not so great: silicon buds can't isolate
I listen to music almost everytime im in the car. i also listen to a lot of dragonforce (great band). these earphones nail all low to high ranges.the only bad thing is the silicon buds cant sound isolate. the foam buds are just perfect. they fit, sound isolate, and stay in. iv'e heard the bose ear buds. i hated them! they would fit or stay in my ear. im sure they were good though..... these earbuds are great, these other reviews are misleading. gives these a chance & u'll be satisfied.

What's great about it: they fit in your ear pretty comfortably once you get used to them
What's not so great: the sound quality is terrible
I recently purchased these to replace my Bose In-Ear headphones because the Bose allow in too much ambient noise. I tried a $15 pair of Koss but the ear plugs fell apart. I decided to go all out and spend good money for a good brand. To my dismay, the sound quality made me long for my iPod earbuds! I hope BestBuy accepts them as easily as they sold them...

What's great about it: Lows are great, highs and mids are incredible
What's not so great: look kinda funny
I just got a pair of these headphones for Christmas, and at first i was a little disappointed. It was purely by chance that i saw the instruction insert explaining that the headphones go in your ear in in way that could be described as upside-down. Getting the headphones in you ear at that angel drastically changes the sound quality, especially the lows. Also, it seems like these headphones were not really designed to simply play music loudly, but to bring out all the ranges. i have hooked them up to a few devices, and while they sounded good on my old cheapo ipod, they sounds a million times better on my new classic. with a good driver and proper use, these headphones sound just as good if not better than as my old over-the-ear BOSEs, which were much larger and much more expensive.

What's great about it: Comfortable
What's not so great: Sound quality
I just got back with a set of these and well, they are going back to the store immediately. What a disappointment. I upgraded from a pair of cheapo IEM Skull Candy headphones, and I don't confess to be much of an audiophile, but wow, the sound quality on anything but an audiobook for these just isn't worth the asking price.
The highs are mediocre, clear sounding, but not fantastic. The lows are non existent. There is literally ZERO bass or low frequency audio produced by these. My $15 Skull Candy's have significantly better lows, and comparable highs. Buyer beware, if you are looking for headphones in the $100 range look elsewhere.

What's great about it: Great outside noise reduction, comfy, nice carrying case
What's not so great: not so good when ur trying to have a conversation with someone, foam buds get kinda waxy, not the best for working out
These headphones are great for studying or when ever you need to stay focused whether its on work or a movie ur watching. When I use these headphones and then use my other cheap earbuds, there is a significant difference in sound quality. get these headphones, rather than going through tons of cheaper headphones cause they keep breaking. spend the extra cash, take care of these, and enjoy.

What's great about it: Great sound, excellent noise blocking, comfortable
What's not so great: No inline volume, cable is short
This is the best pair of headphones I have owned. I was a huge fan of over the ear style headphone because of the sound quality of larger drivers, however, these blow away anything close to this price range.
They work very much like a pair of foam earplugs. They have a foam piece that inserts into the ear that you must roll first then hold in your ear for a few seconds for a snug fit. It is extremely important to have a proper fit or else you will receive a flat sound response. Experiment with the variety of ear pieces it comes with to find the best fit for you.
Bass reproduction is excellent, treble and mids sound great as well. I like the case they come with as well.
The best feature is the how well they block outside noises. They work just like a pair of foam earplugs in that regard. I can't hear much of anything when I have them in except the music I am playing.
The only downside is they don't have any volume control. I use these with my computer and it makes it a lot easier to adjust the volume with the headphones. Also the 4 feet of cable isn't very much.

What's great about it: soft memory foam earbuds
What's not so great: Distortion and no low frequency
Great design. Comfortable earbuds with the same kind of foam used in OSHA approved earplugs. A very sort cord allows your device to be in a shirt pocket without a lot of extra cord to mess with, however it also comes standard with an extension cord to make it the same length as the standard ipod earbud.
I missed the bass and got aweful distortion at medium to high volume, which was disappointing for $100 purchase. I may try the Klipsch x5, but I'll need to dig a little deeper into my pocket.

What's great about it: small, comfortable, lightweight
What's not so great: poor sound quality, no bass
First I bought a cheap set of buds for my MP3 player, and I was disappointed with the poor sound quality. I decided to spend the extra cash and get something better. I tried these, and to be honest I really couldn't tell the difference between these and the cheap generics. I ended up going with a pair of Bose on the ear phones instead. They are bigger, and bulkier... but the sound is simply so much better.

I really like these earphones. They isolate sound very well, I use them during my commute. I have some cheap Sony earphones that are similar to this but these sound better so I save the cheap ones for gym use.

What's great about it: Great Bass and Overall Sound
What's not so great: None that I have found
I am new to iPods, but right away I found the earbuds supplied with my Nano 4G to be very poor compared to other units I had.
So I began to search for a replacement set of earbuds.
Shure has always been a top rated company and was high on my list. I also obtained Sony and Koss earbuds to try.
I did set a limit of $100 as it seemed a bit of overkill to spend more on the earbuds than the player.
After have listened to all three brands the Shure SE110s out preformed the other two hands down.
The bass response is terrific as is the mid-range and highs.
Taking a moment to insert them correctly makes a huge difference in their performance.
With the SE100's the quality of sound reproduction from such a tiny device as the iPod Nano is truly amazing.
Well worth their price. 5 Stars are not enough.

What's great about it: You hear nothing but music
What's not so great: Can be awkward to put on
I like the "ear plug" type pads that are included rather than the comfort rubber ones. They really block out the sound. Pretty good sound quality. Takes a few uses to get used to them, find the correct size buds and figure out the most comfortable way to wear them (since there are a number of ways). Once you do, they are very good (especially for workouts... and I love the shorter cord option with my shuffle. These are more of a long term wear set of buds. I wouldn't recommend them if you are constantly going to be taking them on an off. For workouts or relaxing they are great.

What's great about it: Pretty good sound
What's not so great: Takes a little longer to put in you ear
A feature of these headphones are that they block outside sound and they do, but it takes some time to put each earbud in. It is just a hassle because you have to squish each one in first then hold it for a few seconds until it fills out into your hear. You can't just pop them in. I'm in college and I where headphones between classes and I want something that is quick to put in, which is pretty much every other headphone. They sound good but looking at the pros and cons they are not worth the money. I am going to return them tomorrow and probably buy the Bose instead.

What's great about it: Good Sound Across the Board and Farily Comfortable.
What's not so great: I wouldn't say $100 Good??
This is a comparison to the standard earbuds that come with the iPod Touch, SE110's and the Bose in ear headphones. The Bose (which I just returned) had good BASS to them but also a real flat & muddy sounding high end & mid range. The SE110's are fairly comfortable with varying ear pieces to create the proper fit. This is very important. You need to create the proper seal to get the best sound and cancel outside noise. The sound is better than the standard earbuds all the way around. But I wouldn't say it's a HUGE improvement over the standard earbuds (which cost $30). Just a slight improvement across the board. The sound is equal and clean (from Bass to Mids to Highs). But for $70 more than the standard earbuds I expected a little bit more out of them.

What's great about it: Great sound
What's not so great: Very uncomfortable in ears
Although the sound is fantastic for the price with these earbuds, they are very, very uncomfortable. It doesn't matter if you use the rubber tips or the foam tips. I actually returned these due to the discomfort they caused after such a short period of usage. Wish I'd known prior to purchasing.

What's great about it: Great Sound Isolation
What's not so great: Top and Bottom range falls off steeply! Where are the bass and highs?
Great Expectations, but these Sure SE110 headphones can't stand along side my similarly priced Bose In-Ear headphones.
I picked up a pair of SE110s just 45 mins ago, so this review represents my 1st impression of them.
Unfortunately my 1st thoughts were, great sound isolation, but bland sounding music. There is no thump to the bass and no crispness to the highs.
Yes I am listening to 128kbps MP3s but remember I listened to the same music files with my Bose and the tracks then sounded very lively and satisfying.
Again these are my 1st impressions and I may find a reason to keep these headphones. They have 30 days to change my mind!
