What's great about it: screen, 4 in m1, phone, wifi, effiecent on ink, good quilty printes
What's not so great: phone and fax get mixxed up
this is a printer i bought to update an old hp. i got it and it was fairly easy to set up and quick to install. have had an issue on the networking but fixed that. it has soem feature that most other printers dont like a 2.5 in screen, a phone, and a separate dock for your ink.
the ink on this printer is very good quality. it is very efficient on the use and tells you how you got on the screen. but is kind of slow on printing but that is not all that bad.
the phone does make all your calls have beeps in them but you can fix that by going on to there website.
this is really a good buy and worth the money if you print a lot.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Wireless, easy to use, compact & affordable.
What's not so great: Could hold more paper. Needs higher dpi for photo quality.
Switched from a HP PCS Photosmart to this Brother Multi-Printer. Even though I loved my HP I was looking from the same capablilities & affordability. I found most of the them in this printer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Wireless and Cost Effective
What's not so great: None
I only needed a fax machine and got my first MFC for an exceptional price! The wireless setup, Speed, ink usage and overal operation is impressive. The fax options saves time and money because it can be done right from my laptop, no printing needed! I can't comment yet on the photo feature.

What's great about it: Color, print speed. setup and operations
What's not so great: wireless has long delay for initial page loads
Great in FAX, SCAN/Remote SCAN and COPY functions. I did not test photo capture yet. Printing from LAN is fast and efficient. Printing from Wireless has long delay in getting first page of document to start printing. I started in Wireless; setup simple, quick and easy. Initial test pages printed quickly. However, after several days, I noticed documents and picures I tried to pring took too long to buffer in the printer before they started. Switching to the wired LAN took less than 5-minutes to setup; same as the Wireless. Printing documents start immediately for the first page; no delay.
Remote controlling all functions and being able to select them from my PC is very handy. I recommend this to anyone but, use the wired LAN if you expect fast immediate printing as I do. If you are not impatient like me, the wireless works fine. I just didn't like the time to start printing the first page; I had to wait 45-60 seconds.

What's great about it: easy set up;good print quality and speed;
What's not so great: Goes through Yellow Ink quickly
Bought for home office and for our family to use. My wife uses the copier to make copies of pages from children's books so my 3-yr old son can color and do puzzles, etc... She loves how easy it is to use. Photos can be printed with it, but if that is your primary need this may not be the best printer. But if your needs span from copying, b/w printing, faxing, and occasional pictures - this is a great buy!

What's great about it: clear fax and copies, great color
What's not so great: a little complicated as to feature menus
I purchased this copier/printer/fax/scanner and so far its a great buy! Love the quality on the copies and scanned data. fax speed is middle to high. Copy speed is a little bit slow for large copies. Colors are clear and clean. For the money its a good choice!

What's great about it: Wireless printing, scanning and PC faxing

I haven't written a review before but the pros and cons of this machine stood out to me in a way that made me want to alert others. On the pros side, the wireless feature is great; I print from my laptop anywhere in the house, no problems. You can also send a fax from your laptop without ever printing anything, also wireless. Finally, the scan feature is pretty great. I often use it to scan documents into text editable files that are wirelessly sent right to my computer.
On the cons side, the printer is really terrible and if the printer will be important to you it is probably a deal breaker. The copying area of the glass is less than 100% of an 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper so you have to reduce any regular sized page by 75% every time. Moreover, it takes a really long time so forget about copying multiple page documents. Its fine for the occasional copying of a receipt or single sheet, which is basically all I need but it is still annoying when I need to copy an 8.5 x 11, which is what I was doing just before I sat down to write this!

What's great about it: WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET.
What's not so great: NEEDS LARGER INK CARTRIDGES.
THIS MACHINE IS ONE OF THE BEST I HAVE EVER USED. VERY EASY TO SETUP. THE QUALITY OF THE PHOTO PRINTS ARE EXCELLENT. I LOVE TO TAKE PICTURES OF MY KIDS TO SHOW OFF. I DO WISH THE INK CARTRIDGES WERE LARGER SO NOT TO RUN OUT QUICKLY. THE CONVINENCE OF THIS MACHINE IS GREAT, YOU CAN DO ALL YOU NEED WITH IT. IF YOU DON'T HAVE ONE, YOU NEED TO GET ONE.

What's great about it: Easy Setup, including Wireless

Just purchased this yesterday. Took me about an hour to unpack and install. I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to establish the wireless connection. The previous HP all-in-one (AiO)was very painful for me to install. I remember being on the phone with HP's technical support for many hours to get the old HP AiO going.
The only (small) concern I have at the moment is that this Brother MFC AiO has 4 printer cartriges in it. I am not sure how long these will last, and also how expensive the cartridges are going to be. I guess I will update the review in a few months!!

This has been a smooth running machine for me since we purchased it about 6 months ago. I use it mainly for copies (how nice not to have to leave the house or go through the long process of scanning something to the computer and then printing it out just to get a copy!), but on the occasions when I have needed a fax it has also come marvelously in handy and has worked without a hitch. The ink is also not too expensive. I would like to have the USB option along with the wireless, but that is only because I'm an old dog trying to learn new tricks - I use it quite frequently and haven't had a single problem since we bought it - that's saying a lot for any printer, if you ask me!

What's great about it: Good print quality and wireless features. Stylish.
What's not so great: Hard to set up wireless.
The printer so far has been great. The ADF and wireless are great features to have. Used it to scan in A LOT of old tax docs for safe keeping and was able to do it all in my TV room while the scanned documents were being saved on my computer in my office. It's a recommend for sure. Wireless was a bit tough to set up since I use WPA2 so I needed to enter the huge WPA2 password everytime I tried to get it to connect via DHCP when setting it up. Not sure if it was a wireless router problem or not but I ended up using a static IP on the printer and it connects now without issues.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: easy set-up, wonderful machine
What's not so great: none until now
I got this machine about 4 months ago for my house. It was easy to set up to my wireless network and if my laptop "lost it from sight" once in a while, all I have to do is to turn it off and on and the network is back, thanks to its memory ! It prints, scan and fax very easy and has a pretty good quality. I do not know about pictures, as I have a separate photo printer, but I would recommend this to anyone who do some business at home or for a small office. And the price of ink is reasonable, although I did not need to buy yet anything (except paper) for this Brother jewell.

I brought this to replace an HP and found it to work better..The ease of setting it up was even better. I have both a desk top and a wirless laptop and had no problems gettting it set up with both
Would recommend this product to all. It is well worth the buy.The fax is easy to use and set up in the menu.

Bought this printer to replace an old HP. Mainly wanted this one for the wireless function and price. I was suprised at how eay it was to get printing. I have a Mac desktop and laptop and also a Dell laptop. Both laptops were printing wireless in less than an hour, the desk to is hooked up by ethernet and working flawlessly. LCD screen on the printer is a nice touch.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I found this printer to be very seamless to install and setup. It was very simple to hook up to my wifi and from there I could print and scan very easily. I would recommend this to many people if your not looking for a dedicated photo printer.

I bought this printer to replace an HP printer that has served me well for past nine years. But I wanted to try another brand because the inks were so expensive. I found it!
I love the fact that there are four separate ink cartridges, and each individual one is fairly cheap. The borderless printing feature for photos makes them look like you got them developed professionally. I was floored by the quality of my photos! Documents print out crisp and clear as well. The copier and scanner are a snap, you can load several pages to automatically feed, which is so much better than having to load each one indivually.
The ability for wireless networking is another big plus. I'm not sure how involved set-up is for this though.
Buy this printer, you won't be dissapointed!
