What's great about it: Easy set up
What's not so great: the price
"So far so good. I have no complaints. Using it as a webcam & for videos is cool. I haven't had a problem w/sound or video quality. Focusing is terrific. I have used it to point at things on my computer to the person I was speaking to & it was able to focus rather quickly. One thing I did notice is the face tracking isn't always working properly but that's a minor thing given everything else it does well.
I like it so much I got one for my sister. All in all, I like it !!"

My first webcam

What's great about it: Fast and easy to set up
What's not so great: Trying to follow the English directions with multiple other languages on one page.
"The camera really was very easy to set up, install and plug in to my computer. By following the directions on the instruction page I was able to install it myself (very computer UN-savvy person). The problem I had was caused by MY computer, it is old (6years). I found out that in order to use the webcam I must unplug my printer. The computer cannot run the webcam and have the printer plugged in at the same time. We found this out after we had a computer guy come in and take a look at what was going on. If not for my computer's age the install would have taken no time at all."

What's not so great: It broke within 5 days...The ribbon wire came apart from the lens. Do NOT BUY
"This web cam broke within five days. It fell off the desk to a carpeted floor. The ball (camara) broke off the stem. Ribbon wire on the inside broke.
Worse thing I ever bought. 100.00 down the drain!@"

"this web cam work better then my old one so clear i play movies and point this web cam on my tv i can see my self on my laptop so clear i also let people view my cam while i point the cam on my tv people tell me its so clear"

What's great about it: Best Cam Yet
What's not so great: Not a thing
"This cam is my best one yet. I replaced an older Logitech cam that I paid $90 for 3 years ago.Installation was easy, picture is great and the still images are awesome to say the least. It does help I must admit having a nice quad core computer and a great internet connection. Unless ya got that your cam will only work as well as your connection to the net. It even installed onto Windows7 Beta which I am running right now. No issues there either. It may cost abit more but the price for the quality is in my opinion the best deal out there."

What's great about it: Looks like a cyclops penguin almost, kinda cool
What's not so great: makes your face uglier in my opinion
"I bought this over the other leading logitech cameras hoping that 8 megapixel definition would help out my complexion. I guess too much definition wasn't exactly the best choice for me. Oh well... didn't have to worry about that for long, seeing as it just plain stopped working. Now I knows my computerz an stuffz, and I knewd that the things was broken. Its not like I was messing around with it or anything, just thought that for 120 bucks it would at least bounce and not break. Boy was my face red after that!!"

"OK for web that 120.00 it not any good it stop work all the time. i want back to my old web cam that 10 + years old that work fine but bad video but it work where this thing is just junk. i will take it back next time i go back to town"

What's great about it: Face Tracking, HD recording, Automatic light adjustments.
What's not so great: Ball height to stick ratio
"My wife's web cam (logitech quick cam silver) went belly up after about 6 years of use. So we searched around and researched several models and always found ourselves coming back to this model.
The features of it were a bit more then she NEEDED, but the face tracking, automatic light adjustments, filtering, and everything else that the software does with this cam is outstanding.
If your in the market for a web cam this is the one to look at A LOT. While the height of the ball makes it easy to tip over, (I have 2 cats and a 2 year old), this cam is well worth the price, and even more so if you can use your BB points or a discount coupon.
The image is super clear the refresh rate is outstanding. Once again Logitech has outdone them selves with this one."

Good web cam for home...

What's great about it: Easy to install, remote control of cam angle is nice, Works great in low light setting, great built in microphone.
What's not so great: Fuzzy picture on zoom, no remote web access, heavy base & not very portable, tracking software not very accurate.
"Overall this webcam offers some unique features you won't find in other web cams. Just make sure you follow the instructions exactly when setting up the software or you may find yourself spending a lot of time trying to get it to work. The cam works great in low light and bright settings and has excellent pickup on the microphone.
There are a few things that they need to improve on. The first is to fix the focus when using the zoom feature. It causes the image to become fuzzy even at the highest resolution setting. Also, when trying to use the tracking feature the camera will sometimes turn towards a direction other than the subject. The base is very heavy and doesn't travel well so I wouldn't recommend it for those using laptops.
Overall it is a bit expensive compared to other web cams but still a good buy with all the added features."

Great Training Aid

"This web-cam is that and more. It looks good (no... great) on my desk. I did not buy it as a Web cam only; I provide on-line training videos to our employees and before it, I "was" having to shoot twice to get close-ups.

Now I can shoot and have this web-cam in the shot when I am not shooting the close-up without anyone knowing what it is when I am zoomed out with the other camera.
~
It looks great in the shot, because it has an extention to raise the web-cam to 12" and with the internal rotating head... it allows the web-cam to stay in the same spot witout having to move it around.
~
I know another camcorder would be better; however, when you are working on a low budget... this more expensive than most other web-cams exceeds its expectations for me."

What's great about it: Great Face Tracking, Frame rate, and lighting
What's not so great: Absolutly Nothing!
"I love this camera. I picked it up as a Cool camera to replace an old one. In unpacked it and began using the software. The Face tracking is amazing! I also use Windows Media Encoder which allows me to record better frame rate than the Quick Cam Software. All in all it is the best If i could give more than five stars I would!"

What's great about it: lots

"This camera is so cool! You can make your self look like a cartoon, or but a arrow though your head.
The camera can also follow you around.
I got this camera for my birthday, and it works very, very well.
The Frames per second are fast, (unlike what other people said), and picture can be set up to 4 megapixles.
I make movies on my camera, and it works preety well.
Thieir is a lot of stuff you can do with this camera, and you WILL like it!
If something isen't right, like the frames per second seem slow, or if the mic picks up sound funny, just
re-install the software.
If that dosen't work, then their might be something wrong with the camera, and needs to be returned.

What's great about it: lot of features, picture quality
What's not so great: framerate, motion tracking
"The frame rate in most lighting is around 10-15 and lags terribly. In a very VERY bright room the frame rate increases a bit. But overall, the camera really was disappointing. The motion tracking works SOME times, other times it will flow for a few seconds and then finally lose your face and get totally lost. Its jerky when it moves."

What's great about it: has the long neck to raise it
What's not so great: Video not that great
"Have used this for a few months, to be honest it works ok the face tracking feature works pretty good but it does eat up allot of the system while using it tends to cause problems with programs like Paltalk. All in all I would not recommend it I find having to use the software control to make the cam go up and down and side to side is annoying easier just to move it by hand (which you cannot with this) The video quality is just ok nothing great my sister bought a Creative labs cam which was cheaper and the picture quality is twice and good as the Logitech, this is the second Logitech I have purchased silly me think I would have learned the first time, I should have taken it back within the 30 days. So I suggest you do not purchase this product."

What's not so great: uses a lot of computer power!
"This web cam is a cool little camera with a moving head.
You can make your self look funny by puting a hat on your head, or a arrow through your head, and it makes it kind of real looking to! You can also have your self look like a cartoon guy and stuff like that.
The only con is that it uses a lot of computer power when active.
