What's great about it: Excellent reception, compact, easy to use What's not so great: Pricey, but worth it
"I'm a bit of a tech junkie and was ready to be let down by this product. Nearly every bluetooth product I've purchased with stereo capability has had sub-par performance. Not here, though. I have a bluetooth receiver attached to my radio and not only did this transmitter send the iPod's audio with exceptional quality, the range was spectacular. I can walk almost to the transmitter's outer range without a lost connection, which has been the biggest fault with most of these devices (10 meters sometimes means 3 when it comes to bluetooth stereo). It's pricey, but worth the performance in my opinion."

What's great about it: Tiny, Easy connection, Does what I needed it to do What's not so great: To pricy, Does not navigate the iPhone correctly
"I use the Sony Stereo Bluethooth Transmitter for my iPhone 3G. It takes away the hassle of having the headphone wire irritate me when I'm riding my Bike. Although, I'm unable to navigate through songs and control the pause/play when it's on standby and playing music."

Very Disappointing

What's great about it: Not Sure What's not so great: Doesn't work as advertised
"The product says this works with car audio systems with bluetooth. After trying to get it to work with my car's bluetooth system (which works fine with other devices), I gave up and returned. Product makes compatability claims that aren't true."

What's great about it: Works great with all dockable iPods and iPhones, good range, headset control What's not so great: wish it weren't necessary on the iPhone
"When I got an iPhone, there was only one feature that my previous phone had that it was sorely lacking- the ability to use my stereo bluetooth headphones to listen to music. I got quite spoiled using the wireless bluetooth headphones with the old phone, and with the iPod capabilities of the iPhone, wanted it even more.
After doing some reading around, I found out that this adapter supposedly worked with the iPhones, so I picked one up (I got the white one though, since it matches my phone and my video iPod better)- and have been extremely pleased with it. It does indeed work quite well with the iPhone, though it does come up with a warning from the iPhone (just hit 'No') it doesn't interfere with its operation in the least bit. It also works quite well with my 30GB video iPod. I've not tried it with my first-generation iPod Mini, but according to the manual it should work just fine with any iPod with a dock connector.
It's quite easy to use and set up- you just plug it in, and then hold the power button down for a while to initiate the pairing mode to link your headphones. It uses the three most common passcodes for headphones (0000, 1234, and one other I forget), so it would be wise to make sure your bluetooth headphones use one of those. My Insignia headphones paired up without any problems, and presumably any of Sony's own headphones would too. Once paired (you only have to do it once), if you have controls on the headphones (the Insignia ones I have can control volume, pause/play, and moving between tracks) you can just leave the iPod wherever and just control it from the headphones.
The range on the adapter is pretty impressive- I've not done any truly scientific tests, but I'd estimate it's good for at least 50 feet of relatively open space.
The sound quality (this of course is dependent on the headphones too) seems pretty good to me. I'm not exactly a hardcore audiophile, but I do know that Bluetooth compresses the music a bit in the process- but everything from hard rock to quiet classical scores sound quite good to me.
My only real gripe is that I wish I didn't need this, since the iPhone should be able to use stereo bluetooth headphones without an adapter... but until they get around to enabling that function this is an excellent work-around. And even if the iPhone does gain the missing ability, this is still be a great addition to normal iPods."

What's great about it: great quality sound, small and easy to use What's not so great: none
"I had been hoping there was something I could purchase to allow me to listen to my iPod without wires. I didn't use my iPod that much before because the earbuds it came with were always getting tangeled everywhere, such a hassle. This Bluetooth system allows me to cook, do the laundry or just about anything without the worry of dropping and damaging my iPod."

What's great about it: amazing, simple, works What's not so great: nothing yet
"I got this to use with my iPod touch and my Sony Dr-bt50 headphones. All I had to do was put it in hold the power button on both systems to pair them and it was done.
It literally took less than 15 seconds and music was playing.
Sound quality is as good as wired headphones due to AD2P profile so it's awesome.
You might run into a few possibles issues when pairing two things that aren't same manufacturer. (i.e. Sony and Sony) I'm not sure though but so far so good.
Great product quick and easy and sounds great!"

What's great about it: Perfect! What's not so great: None
"Maybe I paid a little less than other people but I think $77 is an ok price for the value. I used it to pair to my Sony - Bluetooth Wireless Headset - Model: DR-BT22 and it works perfectly. I can still pair my phone to the headset, I was not expecting that. The range is as advertised, about 30 feet."

What's great about it: Small, simple, works well What's not so great: Expensive
"This was one of those products that just worked as advertised. I plugged it into my iPod, followed the simple instructions to pair it with my headphones and voila it worked. It doesn't drain the battery quickly and sounds great. I like that it is small and attractive. It was quite expensive though, but well worth it."

What's great about it: No cords, easy to use, lightweight What's not so great: Price
"I have a very old 3rd generation 20 Gig I Pod with no color screen or video playability. I love my I Pod, but now I am wireless and it is the best thing that has happened since I first bought my I Pod. If you have wired headphones and hate it, get this with a pair of blue tooth headphones and you will be set free. I have started wanting to listen to my music more often."

What's great about it: Low battery drain, pairs with bluetooth headphones easily, works with iPhone, small form factor What's not so great: Flimsy connection to iPod
"I have had this product for a little over a week and I must say I love it. I am using it with an iPhone, which does have included bluetooth but does not support streaming stereo music or controls such as pause and track selection, thus making this device necessary in order to use a stereo bluetooth headset to its full capability. It pairs with my headphones flawlessly and provides a great audio quality. Range has been decent, but i don't recommend leaving the room your iPod is in unless you are ready for signal loss, although I have gone around 30 feet away from my device without any problems. The only problems I have found with this product is the slightly high price and that there is a bit of play between the connection to the iPod. The transmitter stays in securely but it feels as if it would not take too much effort to snap it off if it got hit wrong or crushed in your pocket. All in all I would recommend this product to any iPod/iPhone owners looking to cut the cord."

What's great about it: small size, black color. What's not so great: A little more expensive than competitors
"Outstanding performance within close range, but disappointing performance (signal loss / cut-out) when unit is placed in my pocket, but not more than two feet from the receiver."
