What's great about it: price, design, comfortable What's not so great: took 10 minutes finding where they put it. best buy likes to move it's headphone section every week.
"These headphones are really cheap, only $50. these were actually comparable to my $300 bose. but bose doesnt have the style i wanted. i ended up giving the bose to a cousin and kept the skullcandy DJs. the bose were a bit more comfortable. something i didnt like was that the cord was spit into 2 parts. but the overall cord length was perfect for me. i hook my headphones directly into the moniter and the bose had too much excess cord. these are some what sound-canceling although i never tried. i mostly use my speakers and subwoofers, but when im not im usually using these out of my others. the sound is perfect when you use a equalizer. these would be better if they had 2 seperate speakers, one for treb, and one for bass like my bose's. these did hurt my ears at first, but then i realized that i didnt adjust it right. i thought extending it all the way was the best, but i changed it to fit my headsize and there is absolutely no pain anymore. even though it has lifetime warranty, these are really cheap and would buy another if current ones broke. i'm looking forward for new designs. i just orderd SK Pros and they should be arriving in 2 days. overall i recommend it."

"decent headphones. cheaply made, the plastic has snapped. the cord is extremely short. although it does look nice, not worth the price. i wouldnt recommend it"

"These babies are the best. I have been wearing them all day and have not recieved one complaint about the noise from my family. These are great at not only keeping the sound in and other noises out. People just don't realize how overated Bose is. These are better and so much cheaper!!!!You've been missing out on so much in life if u don't own a pair!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"if you listen to rock and you are tired of the speakers getting staticy then these are great. the best headphones i ever bought. but these are great for all music. people are saying that they hurt their ears but i got big ears and they don't bother me. the bass is great you just got to adjust it on your mp3 or whatever. the wire is perfect and if you need it longer just buy a longer wire. also the warranty is great, even if you break them its covered."

"I absolutely love these headphones, i previously owned a pair of G.I.s and loved them for their sound, but this christmas i bought the hesh's just to see what else sskullcandy had to offer. i was amazed at the sound quality from these headphones. these are a gret buy for the price and i love my pair. oh, and they come with this sweet sticker and spraybaint stencil, its pretty sweet"

"I think the headphones are great for this price. You are sorely mistaken if you think that you are going to get a bose quality headphones. There is no way you are going to get a top notch quality headphones by paying only fifty dollars. Be prepared to fork way over hundreds of dollars to get the best quality. Luckily for me, I was not disappointed with these headphones. I think they are great. But, what do I know, I am not an avid music listener like some people. P.S. they have a great limited lifetime warranty."

What's great about it: wire volume control, stylish, confortible What's not so great: bolky, lack of bass, the need for an extension
"ok so a few ppl are complaining that the wire is too short... well for me its actually pretty long... well with the extender. i don't like the extender its actually come off a few like with little pull. the bass is descent. few songs need a lil eq adjustment, but these headphone start to crack with too much adjustment. ppl say they cancel out noise, if u turn all the sound down... they don't do much if u want noise canceling u gotta go bose. wearing them around the neck is pretty uncomfortable. unless u take the completely off there's nowhere u put them.. =/ first time buying skull candy... considering buying in ear skull candy."

"these headphones are very good, but they have one fatal design flaw. the ends of the headband that connect to the actual headphones will break if you extend them all the way out after about 2 months, maybe more if not used daily. buy only if you have a head that fits in the headband without adjusting."

"I have gone through 5 different pairs of headphones in the last month from spending $30 to $150 and these are the best sounding ones i have found. The GI headphones are almost the same thing the only difference is you can change the ear pieces and they have more design. These are by far the best pair of headphones i have been able to find so far."

What's great about it: sound is freaken amazing. What's not so great: they broke cuz i wore them funny
"i love these headphones more then any pair i have had before. i listen to a lot of rock, death metal and drum and bass. the bass is great and they get loud too. but i had them for about 4 or 5 months and they broke. they broke cuz i have one of the speackers behind my ear some times to hear people talk. so the part that you adjust to go up and down for size bent and broke in two. this took some time to actuly break it started as a crack and three weeks later it broke. but im getting another pair cuz the quality is crazy awesome. P.S. i gave it a 4 cuz they broke on me. but i would give them 5 if they wouldn't have broken."

"I literally just bought these an hour a go and I wish I hadn't. My Everglide S-500 snapped within 2 days (great sounding headphones but cheaply made) and I needed a new one, so I did some research and I took a gamble on these hoping they would be a good pair of headphones for a reasonable amount of $$. The bass on my Everglide blows the SCs away, and I purchased the Everglides for only $15!! These headphones will do for now. One thing I really like about this headphone is there is very little sound leak, meaning the people around you won't hear what you're listening to. If you have small ears and don't mind having less bass, then these headphones are for YOU."

"I had these headphones for about a year. I didn't use them too much when I discovered that the right side wasn't outputting any sound. So yes, they broke in about a year. And when I did wear them, they hurt my ears and weren't comfy at all. I would buy big instead of these."

"well i recived these for christmas and have been enjouing them, i dont do too much battering on them and barely strain them at all as they are so powerful. definitely worth the money, look at the other ones this price. i have been listening and wearing them for six hours now and only taken them off to wipe the sweat off my head and let my ears cool down and they arent painful at all. i just wish the cord were longer, i guess i can buy an extedner ontop of the one it allready has!"

What's great about it: The sound is sufficient for stereo, or listening to an Ipod. What's not so great: The cord is a tad bit short, but nothing a 5 dollar investment at radioshack wont fix, stereo extension cable..
"Things to expect, audible music sounds great on these headphones. Certain genres require you to increase the treble or bass, these are preset, but still offer quality sound. The background noise is reduced dramatically, which is good if you are shutting out the world, or listening to music. The cord as I mentioned before wasn't the longest on the market, but you can pick up an extension stereo cable at any hardware store, or electronic store, should you feel the need to walk around your residence with headphones. The design is eye catching. The volume control wheel on the cord is good should you need to turn it up a notch. These would be good for editing music, movies, or media. They can be fitted if you have a large head, but they can be fitted to your head. If you want 250 dollar headphones, Bose offers them. These work for plain musical enjoyment."

"I had these for around a month, or less, and they broke down! Over-used maybe? But it has a great sound quality that is great for any person and has a adjustable volume on the cable for extensive volume controls. I would get it in a different color though. Also the tight feature that it has around your ear can get iritating to some people and its annoying wearing around your neck."

"I bought these over the summer, and even though they're not louder than the JBL on-ear headphones I had that shorted out (my fault), they are good headphones for the price.........until you get to the durability.
Maybe it's me, since I do have a habit of breaking headphones according to my mother (even though the iPod ones break all the time, and those are NOT my fault), but I like to put these in my backpack when I don't use them in school, and the left extension side snapped, exposing the wire underneath. My friend had black tape with him, so we closed it and taped it up so it can't be pulled down again.
Recently, the OTHER SIDE has begun to weaken, and it's also ready to snap at any moment. I'm not sure if putting the same tape over the problem zone will re-enforce it, but I'm hoping they won't break before I get my JBL's back.
In conclusion, if you can't afford better, then treat these with extreme care, but if you can afford to shell out more money, then I highly recommend you do so.
So, since I can't give half on stars and my recommendation, I would give it 3.5 stars. Sounds good, just not durable at all. I recommend it, again, for the price and sound quality, but not for the quality of the material."
