What's great about it: Runs vary quite, smooth spin up after sleep
This has been one of the best drives I've owned, runs vary quite, smooth spin up, I recommend it to whomever I talk to.

What's great about it: Easy to set up, good price for the quality and size of the drive...speed of the drive is a plus too!
What's not so great: I've not had any problems with this harddrive.
For the price, the quality, speed and 1Tb size of the drive....I don't think you'd need to look further. My main drive crashed, but did not survive and luckily, I'd had a backup external drive. Setting up this 1Tb Seagate was quick and easy with the backup. In a short while, my computer was back up and running as if nothing had happened.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Easy installation, great replacement for a dying hard drive. I tripled my capacity quickly and cloned my information over. Bought a second one to serve as an ongoing clone.

What's great about it: Dependability
What's not so great: Not as cheap as they used to be (but none are)
I now have 3 of these Seagate 1TB drives running in my Windows 7 64 bit PC. While I've had several Western Digital drives fail on me, I have yet to lose a Seagate drive.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this as part of a desktop PC for a family member. The hard drive crashed six months after one year warranty expired.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love this hard drive, I've had no issues with it and it was easy to install. I would recommend seagate to anyone, and the barracuda an awesome HD.

What's great about it: Price, included screws/cables, warranty
What's not so great: Nothing so far
I have no complaints about this hard drive!
I liked that it came with the necessary screws and cables as well as very detailed instructions for installation.
The 5-year warranty brings peace of mind that I won't need to replace it.
I purchased this hard drive for my home PC because I wanted a second hard drive for storing files. This drive is very fast, when I copy from my primary hard drive to this one it goes at speeds between 70-120 MB/second. It works like a charm, and I have absolutely no regrets about purchasing this.
If you're looking for an inexpensive 1 TB hard drive, you can't go wrong with this one!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this only for use with Windows Backup. I'm backing up a 250GB Windows drive and wanted a lot of space. This drive is spacious, silent, and has good performance. I'm happy with it after a few months of use.

What's great about it: it worked. no issues. relatively easy to install.
What's not so great: price was not fantastic
This hard drive does what it supposed to, as fast as it is supposed to, as easy as it is supposed to. That does not make it great, but it makes it a workable solution that can be relied upon. I would buy it again but I still think it is a bit expensive as far as hard drives go.

What's great about it: 5 year warranty
What's not so great: Nothing really.
How can you write an accurate review after using this product for a couple of months. Here goes !! Installed easily in my 2007 iMac. It is replacing a WD 320Gb drive. Works as expected. The only thing I noticed is that it is not as quiet as the WD. That doesn't mean it was noisy. With the WD I didn't hear anything. With the Seagate I hear a muffled sound. Bought the Seagate because it has a 5 year warranty. The WD only has a 3.
