What's great about it: SHARPER GRAFFICS
What's not so great: DISK DRIVE GETS STUCK

"I BOUGHT THE CORE AT FIRST AND THAT GOT THE RED RINGS ABOUT 5 MINUTES INTO PLAY TIME. I RETURNED THAT AND WAITED A WHILE AND THEN BOUGHT THE PRO BUT I AM STILL NOT THAT AMAZED SURE THE GRAFFICS ARE GOOD BUT THE DISK DRIVE GETS STUCK OFTEN AND THE CONTROLLERS GET DIRTY AND THE BUTTONS STICK. OVER ALL THIS IS A PRETTY GOOD CONSOLE."

What's great about it: Great games
What's not so great: Poor Machine

"After a year, dead after the msoft warranty ran out. BUY THE REPLACEMENT PLAN. its 60 dollars and well worth. has some amazing exclusive titles. doesnt use blueray OR hddvd for disc space, so games are limited to about 10 gb, compared to about 30 for bluray on the ps3.

For the price, buy it. its fun and awesome. for a lil better performance and security, buy a ps3.

definitely a gamers console, but very little media center capabilities."

What's great about it: Hours and Hours of entertainment; never a dull moment!
What's not so great: System Hardware Failures. ( X Box does offer a fantastic warranty and coverage! Highly Recommended!)

"I currently own two consoles; One for myself and the other for my boyfriend. We can both get online and play with our friends in exciting matches like in the new game 'Bad Company' (Very good game!) I do recommend getting the warranty for system failures because Microsoft extends your warranty to ensure that you will never go without your xbox! I sent mine in after having it for some time and within 2 weeks I had it back!It is an excellent product and fun for ALL ages!!"

What's great about it: Media sharing, downloadable content on Xbox Live, Great games, graphics, excellent warranty
What's not so great: Unreliable

"There is much more than a great video game console here. The Xbox 360 allows you to share you music, movies, videos, and pictures with your Xbox 360 and play the media on the television that the Xbox 360 is connected to. There is also tons of T.V. shows and movies that you can download. Also, if you are Netflix customer and you have Xbox Live Gold subscription you can stream Netflix movies straight to your console."

What's great about it: Everything
What's not so great: RROD! =(

"This Console features everything you can think of, plus more. You can buy TV shows, music videos, Movies, HD movies, game add ons, games, all kinds of stuff. Ever since I got this thing I haven't been able to put it down. It took me a while to decide between the PS3 and the 360, but I just went for it and I am more than happy with my choice. The ONLY bad part to this system, is the red ring of death. But there are ways you can avoid such problems and even if it does happen you just send it in and they will take care of it and give you a couple months of xbox live for free. so all is well =) just get a 360, its awesome."

What's great about it: Library of software, online gaming, versatile system
What's not so great: No blue-ray as of this writing.

"Halo 3, Grand Theft Auto 4, Bioshock, Oblivion, Gears of War, Fable 2, Final Fantasy 13, and tons of more games on the way, plus backward compatability with most of the original xbox's games.
The ability to rip music onto the system's hard-drive, or stream music from a networked computer while you are playing a game.
All online games are voice-chat enabled, and xbox-live has over 10 million users.
Xbox Achievements now reward gamers with gamer points for completing certain tasks within each game which then go towards a point total for that person's xbox profile, to be compared with others all over the world.
Download classic games over xbox live, hd movies, or even whole seasons of tv shows.
Right now, Xbox360 is the best console purchase available, and this is coming from an owner of a xbox360, PS3, and nintendo DS. I have no brand loyalty, I go with what has the best content and games."

What's great about it: Great on line games
What's not so great: Online hook up is difficult

"The game console is excellent. the graphics and sounds are realistic, Play this product on Xbox live is great fun. You can create teams with your friends and play against other teams or individuals. The Xbox is approximately $250.00 cheaper than the PS3.

the only difficulty I had was connecting the xbox to a router. I had at least 5 hours of telephone time with Linksys routers and Xbox customer service to try and connect. If you have a direct connection from broadband you are set.

Great gift or console for all ages."

Xbox 360 - Great; When it Works 07/20/2008

What's great about it: Excellent HD gaming experience with 5.1 surround sound.
What's not so great: Most Xbox 360 units have to be shipped back to Microsoft at least once for repair.

"This is one of the best gaming consoles ever. The graphics are great, the sound is fantastic, and the fact that it functions as a Media Center Extender is amazing.

The draw back though is the fact that Xbox 360s are prone to breaking. I had my unit for about a year and a half before it died.

On the upside when I called Microsoft they paid shipping both ways to send my Xbox 360 to them, didn't charge me for the repair, gave me one free month of Xbox Live, and had it back to me within 3 weeks.

Overall I would definitly recommend this gaming console to anyone who enjoys video games."

Great Console for all ages 07/20/2008

What's great about it: Game Library, Easy Setup, XBL
What's not so great: Known Hardware Failures, MS Support

"The 360 console has come a long way from the first batch of consoles they first released. Early versions have been known to cause the "Red Ring of Death" and thus bringing about hardware failures. You shouldnt have to worry about it now with newer versions of the consoles being manufactured but I would defnitely recommend looking into a replacement plan that Best Buy offers or else you have to deal with MS Support that seems to instead of shipping you a new 360 , they will send you a repaired 360 that isnt originally the one you purchased. Sometimes those will have their own problems which means calling MS Support again and going through the whole routine.
Other than those incidents, the game library keeps growing. There is something for everyone whether your 8 or 38 years old. If you have Xbox Live Service, you wont regret it. Various movies you can stream and Xbox Live Arcade games to download. Previews of upcoming games and various themes to decorate your Xbox interface."

"Great features, must have best buy warranty. When you get the red ring of death all you need to do is take it to best buy and you get a new xbox. If you don't have their warranty you have to send it to microsoft and be without your machine"

What's great about it: Very fun in the beggining
What's not so great: Its one of those things you get tired of after a while

"This was ver fun in the begginging for the first 3 onths i would say. But, after a while it got very boring because there was nothing left to do on it and there was not a wide varitey of games. Although it had great graphics it would always get that annoying red light and nobody could fix it. I decided to sell it and i bought a wii. I have had the wii for like 6 months and i am still having fun with it."

What's great about it: Great Games, good online play, everything else

"this system is the best. its got great games( Vegas 2, COd 4, Halo 3) and perfect online play. Its hard not to play all night online with this. The bad thing is you have to play $160 to play online(12month membership, wireless networking). another thing is i wish it was black like elite."

"I've had the Xbox for over 3 years now. The product is great. When I got it, it was on non-stop! I've only had to send it in to Microsoft once for repairs because it kepted freezing up, but besides that, it's really a great product! Just pure amazing 07/14/2008

What's great about it: Most now have the new Falcon chip installed
What's not so great: So far none

"I got my 360 last week and then the next week there was a price drop. Now thats bad luck for me. But since then I have been playing my 360 for at least 8 hours strait everyday, and so far nothing has happened because of the new falcon chip in the 360. The chip uses less energy so that means less heat. So I'm not worried about the red ring of death. Out of all, the 360 is a great system including the great game selection the 360 has to offer. To top it off, the xbox live is so easy to set up took me 20min. Out of all a great system and to my opinion the best one out of the Wii and PS3."
