What's great about it: Great Graphics; Good Sound; Best Games
What's not so great: Price (compared to the Wii); No Blu-Ray (even though there is an HD-DVD but we all know thats gone now)

"I really think it just depends on the type of games you like to play. Personally i'm into sports games, and this system is great for those games. There isn't that much different in all the systems but I do believe the X-Box 360 is one step above the rest!"

What's great about it: Awesome graphics, easy & fun to play
What's not so great: Fragile, sensitive to temperature

"This console has a very wide variety of games, options, and the graphics have far surpassed its predicessor. Particularly the sensitivity to heat and its fragile components are about the only downsides I can come up with on this product."

Do Not buy a 360 over a Ps3 07/10/2008

What's great about it: great graphics, great games
What's not so great: xbox live(cost), 3 red lights

"I had the 360 for about a year and a half, and it was fine. Then one day i was playing and teh 3 red lights came up. looked up what to do and they were gone. I played some more and the lights came back. I got sick of this so i sent it back. I had 9 friends who had experienced this problem. Also the xbox live is rediculous. 50 dollars? when you can play online for free on the Ps3. I've now had a ps3 for about a month and its awesome. No problems at all. Amazing graphics. On the whole, if you are deciding to buy a xbox 360 or a ps3, I would definitly reccomend the Ps3. I unfortunately made the wrong choice in the beginning with getting the 360. But eventually traded it in."

What's great about it: Graphics, Games, Controllers, Online Gaming
What's not so great: (Rarely) Overheating / Game Freezing

"This is a great console. There are so many games to play, as well as so many people to play them with, there's no reason not to own this console.
Unless you're a young child. A good deal of the better games on the 360 are Mature titles. That being said, if you're a young gamer (or the parent of one) I would go with the Wii.
Title ratings aside, the graphics are great, the dashboard is easy to use, and the online play is addictive (in all the right ways). I highly recommend this console."

What's great about it: Works great, amazing graphics, wireless controllers are amazing. Online play is great.
What's not so great: Setting up, overheating rarely, freezing occasionaly, a little expensive.

"the 360 has many great games that are compatible with x box live. Can play hours with out any over heating. Many accesories work well with it too (example steering wheel and vision camera) Xbox 360 has given my family many hours of fun and I'm sure will continue to do so in the future."

What's not so great: The red ring of death aka: the starting of a new Next Gen Console REPAIR!!

Better than my PS2 07/06/2008

What's great about it: Tons of games, wireless controler
What's not so great: Controler doesn't fit my hands as nice as my PS2

"I had been debating whether i should get a 360 or a PS3 for about a month and then finally i decided to get the 360. I liked both consoles and both have good games, graphics, and built in Hard Drives. I chose the 360 because most of my friends have them and i wanted to play on x-box live. The controller isn't as nice as the PS3 as far as how it fits in my hands but it works. There are many games that want to get yet for this system and the ones i have are very fun. I am glad to have a next gen console. Although i am thinking about getting a PS3 also but that wont be for a while. I would recommend this system to anyone and i love mine."

The best next gen gaming console around!! 07/06/2008

What's great about it: unbeatable online play, runs for hours without overheating, HALO, wide array of games, online marketplace
What's not so great: Have to buy HD DVD drive add on seperately.

"This is overall the best next gen gaming console currently being manufactured. I used to be a hardcore Playstation fanatic, but Microsoft's Xbox 360 changed all of that. The graphics aren't quite as flawless as the PS3's, but Xbox's vast array of features makes up for this loss. The online gaming experience through Xbox Live is one of the main reasons I bought the console in the first place. It's between that and Halo. All the rumors and speculations about the red ring of death leading to the end of your consoles life were aparently true, but I am here to assure you that those glitches have pretty much been taken care of. The newly manufactured consoles haven't had any problems with the red ring of death to my knowledge. If your into online gaming and Halo, then I would suggest that you go with the 360, otherwise the PS3 would be the other way to go. I have been playing videogames for 13 years and this is the best console that I have come accross. I highly reccomend this product to anyone interested in gaming."

What's great about it: Great online, Good games, Graphics
What's not so great: RROD, Durability, Breaks a lot.

"I bought this system about a month ago and it has been one of the best months ever. The 360 is a great system, but if you decide to buy the 360 then i suggest that you buy the 2 year replacement plan. I have had the 360 for a month and i am about to get my 3rd one. i got the Red Ring of Death within 2 weeks and on this one it keeps restarting so i cant even play a game. I say u should get it but get the replacement plan as well. When you get this you get one month free of Xbox live. it is a little confusing o how to get it though. These are the steps.

1. Go to Xbox live part on the dashboard.
2. Hit create new account.
3. You type in your gamertag and then it will give you options of Redeem code, keep silver the 1 month, 3 month, or twelve month gold.
4. Hit keep silver then hit ok.
5. After you do that it says yopu are entitled to 1 month of xbox live gold."

"The Xbox 360 is a great gaming machine for casual and hardcore gamers alike. There is a wide array of games to choose from, for all different kinds of people.
It comes with the ability to connect to the internet and download demos of games, trailers, and rentable movies.
The console itself is a very accessible piece of hardware, and also can be used to play media files over a network if linked to a windows machine.
All in all, I consider the Xbox a very worthy purchase."

Get The PS3 Instead 07/05/2008

What's great about it: Great Onlne, good selection of games
What's not so great: High rate of system failure, pay for online, cheaply made accesories,

"I had purchased and xbox 360 in 2006 and since then i am on my 4th 360. Don't get me wrong the games are amazing but most are on the PS3 also. I am just fed up with returning it every time it breaks, and would much rather have a PS3 which is reliable and has a great line up of games coming out for it this year such as Metal Gear Solid 4, Killzone 2, Socom Confrontation, Little Big Planet,
And Resistance 2. 360 only has gears of War 2 and Fable 2 as good exclusives. The accessories are cheaply made like the headset, $20 and the thing breaks on it's own because the cheap plastic used to make it. At least the PS3 has quality parts and functions like a gaming system should and most games run smoother on it. Not to mention you get a blu-ray player and free online gaming. Trust me the PS3 is a much more advanced piece of technology."

Definitely Good Buy 07/05/2008

What's great about it: Selection of games as well as exclusives, graphics, and LIVE
What's not so great: Three Red Lights, loud at times

"I recently purchased an Xbox 360 and it is definitely a great buy. It has an advantage over a certain next gen competitor concerning computing power and another advantage over an other next gen competitor concerning game selection and variety. The speed and quality the system delivers is exceptional and the LIVE network is so easy to use and has a great interactive community set up. Also, it has been out longer than other systems and has a fantastic game library, complete with amazing exclusives only available to Xbox 360 owners. The only complaint is the loudish fan and the three red lights or "Ring of Death". Even though the kind and understanding approach Microsoft took to extend the manufacturers warranty to cover that (which is amazing that they aided this problem so efficiently), it still can be a burden to send your Xbox 360 away or take time to get a new one. Yet it still costs nothing so its quite alright. This system is definitely worth the buy; the power and games will keep you busy for a long time."

What's great about it: LIBRARY OF GAMES and Xbox Live
What's not so great: Cost money to play online and the older versions are slow

"I love the xbox 360. Essentially it is a bigger version of the xbox, microsoft's older version. The xbox 360 has many great features: from a media/music player, online game play, and ability to customize the home page to fit your game play style. There is a huge list of games for the Xbox 360 and more and more appear on the market. I would say over 75 percent of the games are really good. Some hit games include: Grand Theft Auto 4IV, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, and Halo 3. What I like about the Xbox 360 the best is the online game play. I just finished the campaign of COD 4 on Veteran and guess what now I am off to earn the 10th presteige on Xbox Live..."

What's great about it: Everything you want about gaming
What's not so great: becareful of overheating

"I have been an xbox360 owner ever since it came out. overall i think the 360 is great it is very fun and exciting playing your favorite games by yourself or against others online. I love the online for 360, i play halo 3 with my friends that live across country all the time. it lets me not only play with them but i can talk to them and have a fun time. over the years i have encountered a couple of problems with my 360. i had a little trouble getting connected to the internet, bet once it is connected it works beautifully. also for some reason the video cable did not work after a couple years of playing, but i sent it in to Microsoft and they gave me a free new 360 and took my old one. I can never get tired of my 360 and recently i purchased the video camera it lets you video chat with your friends and send video messages. i absolutely recommend the xbox360"
