What's great about it: great games
What's not so great: errors

"Even though it's a great system, I'm about fed up with the Xbox 360. Now, don't get me wrong, I love the system, It's fast, cool, and the games are phenomenal. But, the trouble I've had with mine makes me want to throw it out the window. I've had a hardware failure twice now, and twice I've sent it in for repairs. Sure, the repairs don't cost me a thing, but I paid about $400 for the system. I don't want it to have to be sent in for repairs for a weeks on end. Overall it's the best system out there, and besides the problems I've had, it's totally worth the money.(p.s. getting Xbox live makes this purchase so much better, there's really no point in having a 360 without it. =P)"

What's great about it: great graphics, dashboard feature really awesome
What's not so great: deteriorates over time

"I'm going to reitorate my title and say this is the BEST gaming console! I absolutely love it. I really debated on whether to puchase this or a PS3, and I am very happy that I went with the 360.
This console provides AWESOME graphics. I completely LOVE the 360. The only problem I have had is it has become a little bit "laggy" after almost a year. Nothing a cleaning or mailing to Microsoft cant fix."

What's great about it: Online play, variety of games, dvd compatible, and powerful engine.
What's not so great: Old models upon update recieve the red ring of doom.

"Amazing product for people who want to get into online gaming or people who want to play single player games. I recommend this product for people who want to play games, watch videos, and play music. Online market system is convenient when you're bored and itching to find something to watch, listen, or customize your Xbox theme. I recommend purchasing the xbox that comes with the wireless remote, and hard drive because it's cheaper than to purchase them separately. Most games available on this system are meant for teen or higher so i reccommend that you purchase this system if you feel mature enough for it's available content."

"This is by far my most favorite console to date. I love the available games and they come in a wide range of categories. The graphics are amazing, and i love the ability to store media directly on the console's hard drive. There are also many accessories available for the Xbox 360. I would highly recommend this gaming system."

What's great about it: Graphics, Game Selection, Style
What's not so great: Microsoft Product, Older versions were glitchy

"With the mass selection of game consoles these days, it is difficult to choose one. If you have the monetary fortune to purchase all of them, do it.... but for those unlucky few we are limited to one maybe two.
If I had to select between a XBOX 360, PS3, or Wii, it would definitely be an XBOX 360 for several reasons.

1. Price - The 360 @ under $400 makes it a worthwhile investment that will give you days upon days of enjoyment. If I had a fortune to spend, get the PS3, it has better graphics, blu-ray player, and has the same functions as the 360.

2. Game Selection - I am a Halo fanatic. So it was a no-brainer for me. In addition, with microsoft's marketing strategies you can get almost any game out there. There are a few exceptions, (i.e. mario kart - Wii, Gran Tourismo - PS3, Final Fantasy's - PS3, ect...)

3. System stability - After many attempts the newer (i.e. post-2006) versions of the 360 have had few flaws in the architecture of the system. The first versions had heat and hardware issues (i.e. red circle of death). Similar heat issues exist with the first production runs of the PS3.

4. HDMI - Although my Xbox 360 doesn't have the HDMI port, I do have friends who do, the biggest complaint they have is that you are unable to use the HDMI cable in conjuction with the A/V cables, unless you do some "cable engineering". With that being said, if you have a stero system you want to hook the 360 to, make sure it has HDMI inputs, that way you don't have to worry about making the a/v cable and HDMI cable getting along. HDMI cables carry both Audio and Video signals."

"This is a great buy! If you own a PC you can access your music and play it over your 360! There are a wide array of games availible and Halo! Only with a 360 can you purchace new songs for guitar hero 3!"

"I love my 360. I have had zero problems with it. Just wish it was a tad quieter. The DVD-ROM is pretty loud when fully spun up."

What's great about it: Nice exterior design. Good graphics.
What's not so great: Loud Fan noise. No bluetooth and Blue Ray Drive.

"I was expecting more from XBOX360. I bought it because there are many games for this product, but the fact that it has no bluetooth and Blue Ray drive made me sad for this price range. The fan inside the box makes a lot of noise and I am not sure if all of them all the same or maybe I have a lemon. I would rather recommend a PS3 station since you will get more for your money."

Best Gaming Console out!(and i also own a ps3) 05/02/2008

What's great about it: Great Online gaming, hd movie retals for about 6$, Best games of any console, and incredible graphics!
What's not so great: xbox live does cost money(but worth it), no internet browser, little pricey after buying wireless adapter

"I own An Xbox 360 and a PS3 and i must say i really enjoy both, although If i had to have one i would choose this!...the Ps3 does have a blu-ray player, free online gaming, and an internet browser but that is where it ends. The 360 has much better online service, better games, and instead of paying 25-30$ to own a High-defintion movie you can just rent it for about 6$. Other than that there are only small pros and cons i can discuss. For ex., the PS3 has built in wireless while the 360 requires a 100$ purchase for this.(but the 360 wireless adapter gets a much better signal that the Ps3 and they are side by side in my room)...also, the xbox 360 comes with hd cables in the box, while the PS3 only comes with standard defintion cables. Overall, i would recommend both, but if you only have the money for one I would choose this!"

What's great about it: Online Capability
What's not so great: Red Ring of Death

"The console is easy to use and quick. The best feature is the capability to play online and wireless capability of the entire unit.
I highly recommend getting the service plan because of there is any issues Best Buy replaced mine right on the spot as long as it was still under manufacture warranty.
The game selection for the 360 is great and only getting better."

What's great about it: amazing graphics, best games, great online service, great warranty
What's not so great: loud fan, gets red rings after awhile

"The best game system available! It has the best games (gta IV, bioshock, gears of war, call of duty 4, halo 3 to name a few). The online service is amaaazing!!!! Its the best you are going to get. Its even better than ps3's online service. You can own your friends online. I play at my friends house and, man, is it addictive. I could spend everyday playing it. My friends have gotten the red ring of death, but since microsoft's warranty is sooo great, all you have to do is send it to them and they will give you a new one. You have to wait a few weeks after you send it in to recieve a bew one, but it's worth the wait. Im positive it is. I highly recommend the Xbox 360 to everyone!"

One of my favorite purchases!! 05/01/2008

What's great about it: amazing gaming system, runs games/dvds flawlessly and Breath taking graphics
What's not so great: there are none this is one amazing console

"I bought this system about 1 year ago and i am still amazed on how good this product is.
Since the xbox 360 has dawned it has been competing with the ps3, well let me tell you something this product blows the ps3 out of the water.
When i first got it i was not so much a hardcore gamer
but soon enough i was obsessed but not so much were i
couldn't see my friends (don't worry). i loved every game that i bought for this system even if the reviews were 7's or 6.5's this system along with its HD connection
had made the not so good looking games quality about ten times more mesmerizing then they had originally been. so once i had bought one specific game (assassins
creed) which is a 9/10 game (awesome) i was star
struck, i couldn't move and any one that passed by the
tv looked at it and said "WOW", this console made games look almost realistic. With the new upcoming
games like gears 2 and fable 2 plus the games that have
already been released halo 3, gears of war, grand theft
auto 4 this console is a must have.
If your looking for a console that will make your heart stop this is it."

"well i love the xbox 360. the best part is the xbox live. if you dont have xbox live u are only getting half the experience. also the wide verity of games is great. the one thing that sets this console from others is its graphics. it is a step down from watching a dvd. get it now"

What's great about it: Wireless Controllers, Easy to Setup, Great Graphics
What's not so great: Only 1 controller (although most systems do that)

"I’ve had the original Xbox for quite a while, and I had been wanting to upgrade to the Xbox 360. Finally I broke down and got it, and I’m glad I did. The system was very easy to set up and it fit nicely in my entertainment center. The graphics are quite an improvement from the original Xbox. The menus are easy to navigate, and offer a detailed view into all the features the 360 offers. The system comes with one wireless controller, which allows more flexibility with where I sit when I play, and eliminates the problem of all the tangled wires from the old controllers. All in all I am very pleased with the system."
