A Game System that will Have You Glued for Hours 04/29/2008

What's great about it: Easy-learn controls, many games, up to fur players
What's not so great: None

"This game system has a few different uses; the games, Xbox Live, and Mini games built in to the console. When I play my Xbox 360, I cannot stop. It is sort of like a spell. The games sometimes freeze up on the system, causing you to have to turn it off. The controls though are fairly easy to learn. On the right-top side of the remote controller, you have your diamond of letters. on the bottom of the diamond, you have the "A" button which normally means "yes" or "select". The button on the right of the diamond is the"B" button which normally means "no" or "de-select". The buttons "Y" and "X" have specific uses in certain games, and no one use. In the center-top of the controller you have your "Xbox" button. This is normally one of the places that you get your full Xbox menu while you're playing a game. With this menu, you have the choices of turning off your Xbox, and a couple more. On the left-top of your controller you have the normal control stick. This is what you use to navigate around menus and games. In some games, you can do more than just that with it. On the left-bottom of your controller you have a sort of curved in panel that looks like a cross. With this, you can also navigate around a menu, but only if the console/game allows you to. On the right-bottom of your controller you have your second joy stick. This stick is normally for getting different views of the game, or console menu. When you look at the acturl top side of your controller, you have the "RT" and "RB" buttons on the right, and the "LT" and "LB" buttons on the right. these are also for changing views of what you are seeing and in certain games, other uses. That is your basic controller, and even though it seems like alot, it is really very simple controls. On the front of your Xbox at the bottom, there is a circle with a power sign in the center. The amount of green parts around the circle is the amount of players that have controllers connected. On the top-right of the front of the system is the place where you put the games in. Then, to the left of that, is the place where you put in th ememory cards. Only Xbox cards can be put in here. This game system has many different features. One of them including a remote controller charger. Many other features are included that can be explainded the a worker at Best Buy. This console, the Xbox 360 is an amazing advance in the technology of game systems. It is also a very fun console to play."

What's great about it: Most Robust Game Library
What's not so great: Lacking in RPG titles

"While I know a lot of people are having trouble with their systems failing, I've had my Xbox now for over a year with no such trouble. I've also not done anything out of the ordinary to keep this from happening, just let it sit in my entertainment console. The Red Ring of Death is certainly not something that plagues every owner."

Good Console, but Buggy 04/29/2008

What's great about it: Great Graphics, Controller, and Game Selection
What's not so great: Buggy and Limited Video Support

"The main problems that I have with the Xbox 360 is the number of bugs that it has and the fact that it doesn't support standard video formats (e.g. divX, avi, etc.). The console is very buggy. I have experienced frequent crashes and complete console failure. MS replaced my Xbox 360 for free with a refurbished model and it took a couple of weeks. Other than those issues, I really like the Xbox 360."

Best Gaming Console Out 04/29/2008

What's great about it: Graphics, Games, Fun
What's not so great: Early versions would burn up on ya..

"In my opinion the 360 is the best console ever made. It has excellent graphics and the best online play so far. The wii isn't bad with the controller aspect but it doesn't have the online experience that the 360 has nor the graphics. So the wii would be better for the younger kids. And the PS3 is just plain old boring playstation. Nothing exciting. If your into saving allot of pictures or movies or mp3's on your hard drive then definitely get the Elite version, if not then the middle version would be fine. This version comes with the wirless controller which is incredible. But beware, Microsoft has fixed the problem a little but I am however on my second Xbox. But it was still worth getting the second over any other console out there. You wont regret it."

What's great about it: provides hours of entertainment for people of all ages
What's not so great: the ring of death, make sure you get a good warranty

"I bought my xbox about 4 months after it first came out and I've had to replace it twice due to the ring of death. I was forwarned about this problem and have made sure that I have a good warranty since the day I bought it. I would highly recomend this because it costs 100 dollars and a couple months to get it fixed without a warranty. Other than that problem, this is an amazing machine. Microsoft keeps new and amazing titles coming out constantly so there is never a dull moment. And xbox live is ALWAYS fun! I would definetly recomend the xbox 360."

What's great about it: Graphics
What's not so great: same ole thing

"I bought mine about a year and a half ago because I couldn't find a Wii. The graphics are pretty good and a lot of titles. I found myself playing less and less of it till I just stopped. I had a chance to play a Wii over the weekend and now I must have one. I am trying to sell the Xbox now. If you are into the basic, regular gaming, then go with an Xbox 360. If you want to have good old fashioned fun, the go with the Wii."

"if this were the only next gen system, then it would be the best, but with PS3... you have to make a decision.. do you buy the alreay hot 360 or the system that has a lot of potential...i chose the 360 and im not doubting my choice at all...great graphics and it has HALO...it cant get any better"

What's great about it: Best next gen system for game selection
What's not so great: noisy, hd-dvd is useless compared to bluray

"Love the 360, graphics are great. Game selection is still a bit better than ps3. Xbox Live blows away anything like it, up and running in just a few minutes, always a game to play. Would love a Blu-ray add on, but that is not going to happen."

What's great about it: Online capability far superior to PS3/WII
What's not so great: Paying for Xbox live

"From Novice to Pro gaming, the 360 is pretty awesome. Online features are great such as being able to download a bunch of stuff not only demos/movies but game attachments such as new maps for COD4/new songs for guitar hero. There is a wide range of games to play. And the gamer score shows how good you are/how much you play games. over all I would buy another 360 if it came down to it, instead of a PS3/WII"

"wow this is a great system if all you want to do is play games with your freinds and what not i bought this last week and i found out that the elite would better fit my needs storage wise so next paycheck im upgrading so i can start downloading upgrades for cod 4 halo need for speed pro street etc... this was a great buy i would recomend this to any one who would listen go out and buy it NOW......."

"The console itself is great with xbox live. Tons of games around for buyers to buy. The only problem with the xbox 360 is that it over ehats easily and gets the red ring. Other than that, best console ever."
