What's great about it: Plays DVDs, Hi-Def, Great Games, lots of options What's not so great: Network set-up can be VERY difficult
"I've had the Xbox 360 for over a year and, although my job keeps me from playing it as much as I'd like, I've really enjoyed the system. Gears of War alone made this console purchase worthwhile. I like that you can use your computer's media files on your home entertainment system with this, but the set-up, especially with the wireless adapter, can be really difficult! Especially with Windows Vista and trying to use the Media Center Extender. I've wasted countless hours, and it still doesn't work right."

"Let me tell you a story of what happen to my xbox 360. I purchased my xbox 360 when it first debut, early December 2006. Now, it's December 2007, a year old. I was browsing at the xbox live marketplace and downloaded the orange box demo game- and next thing you know it froze... In my bewilderedment I pushed the off button on the circle cause it won't turn off using the controller. I turned it back on and it gave me "three blinking red lights" and it's a hardware failure. Now I feel so sad for the product and the priced I payed for it. That it only lasted me last year compared to my Sony's product PS3, PS2, and PS1 still working perfectly fine. I'm debating now if I should get the xbox 360 HDMI 120GB version to replaced the broken xbox 360 20GB."

What's great about it: Great Graphics and fun! What's not so great: 20GB Hard drive can fill up fast. Fans and DVD drive are loud
"Last year I bought an Xbox 360 Premium with Gears of War. I was blown away by the graphics and online play. I downloaded TV shows from Xbox Marketplace and that filled up my hard drive fast. For an entire year I had zero issues then sold it. Now that Call of Duty 4 and Rock Band is out I plan on buying the Elite version. The Xbox 360 fans and DVD drive are loud but once the game starts and you hear bullets flying and bombs blowing up you won't even know the noise is there. I even transported my 360 system multiple times to my friends house and they love it so much that I bought them a new Xbox 360 with the Forza and Ultimate Alliance game bundle. I highly recommend the Xbox 360 due to the wide range of video games and Xbox Live."

"I have this and a PS3. I think that the PS3 is ahead with the wi-fi, HD movie player and free online play. This is all stuff that is extra on the XBOX 360. I would recommend the PS3 over this."

"1. The Xbox 360 is a very wise purchase for gamers, especially those who love Halo3, COD4, and action/shooter based games. 2. The 360 is a better purchase over the PS3 because it is cheaper, and the capabilities are much better. In addition, the graphics are better. 3. More games & better games. 4. HD connections & the wireless controlls are awsome.
Not to mention the awsome skins and plates you can get to customize your 360!

"Well this is my 2nd xbox 360, my first one broke twice, last time out of warrente, this one I bought when my first one broke the first time and was at microsoft Repair shop for over 9 weeks, it later over heated out of warrentee, the new one just broke 5 weeks after warrentee, its a great system but now I know why the other systems cost so much more, THEY WORK and xbox breaks"

"I just bought an xbox360 and i didnt like it at all. I have a ps3 and it kiks the 360s butt. I mean whats up with having to pay to play online . the graphics are amazing but i would recommend that you buy a ps3 instead of a 360."

"There are many Pro's and con's to owning an Xbox 360. On the plus side they are fun, easy to use, awesome game titles, great online play, movie rentals available along with many upgrades and downloads available. But on the down side the accessories are very expensive and in my opinion should be standard with the system anyways. Such as wireless internet and rechargeable controller packs. Also the online game pay is expensive and you need to buy points every time you want to download something that you could go on your computer and get for free. The 360 is a money pit. The system is expensive, the games and the accessories are expensive, membership is expensive and one expense that you would be smart buying is the best buy 2year extended warrantee. You will be glad that you did. The 360 is commonly known for hard drive failure and over heating. The Microsoft company is a pain to deal with and doesn’t help the least bit. Don’t EVER give your credit card number over your 360. Buy the point cards or online membership in the store. My card has been charged numerous times by Xbox none of which I allowed and caused much frustration. Even know there are some major flaws to the 360 I still love it. None of the game systems out there are cheep and none of them are going to work flawlessly. Buying a 360 is not a complete waste of money. But buying a 360 without buying it from best buy and not purchasing the extended warrantee is."

"I bought a PS3 80GB for myself 2 weeks ago and have been addicted to call of duty 4. Ive had no problems whatsoever with it...now the 360 is a diff story tonight me and my bros. picked up our 360 as a gift to ourselves, while at BB, a guy holding a 360 says its the 3rd one he's bought. I assumed he liked it so much that he got 3...NO, he said each one had a red ring light up and it didnt work. He called up MS and they confirmed it was defective. So we bought it anyways but we picked one that so far is good except it froze after one game of FIFA '08..we got bummed. We bought the 360 without the replacement warranty. a 350 dollar system is no longer a 350 dollar system if you have to pay 60 bux more ... it shouldnt be defective in the first place. instead it is now in PS3 territory as far as price and the PS3 plays blue ray and has 80GB. Knowing that I have unlimited returns doesnt make it any more fun to keep running to the store to wait on line graphics wise it looks fine to me. from what I can see so far identical mostly with PS3 I own all sytems and am not biased towards any, I just look at the facts.. Xbox was less than 10 minutes old and it froze... and customer at store was already there 3 times in one day.. Games wise I dont see that much of a diff in selection. I am not familiar with all the games but the shelves seem equally stocked with titles. I am very impressed with the controller feels sturdy unlike the light feeling PS3 one. Although I think it will get tiresome due to its weight. Con is that it uses batteries instead of built in rechargeable but that could be a plus for some people. It has a huge adapter, dont know what that is all about, maybe to keep size of sytem smaller or helps it run cooler. This system feels real sturdy like it could fall and hold up unlike the PS3 which feels like it would shatter. So far during the writing of this review it has not frozen..hopefully it doesnt as I heard it is a rare occurence. Do I recommend it? Yes, it has great graphics and when its running its awesome, the only way to justify buying this over PS3 is if u are a Halo fan and you dont have to pay 60 bux for warranty, but that is up to MS who should be testing these out better. I also like the fact that the HDMI cable is included..something I have to buy for my PS3 80GB"

"Well after three of these I am a little fed up. I have sent two in for exchange / replacement, now I am on my third. I should have known I had a problem when tech support said some people have had luck WRAPPING THEIR UNIT IN A TOWEL to make it work?! Thats a work around If I have ever heard of one. I would probably suggest buying a Wii or PS3 instead, at least they don't break down... lol, plus if you want the Xbox360 games, just wait 6mos they will come out for windows anyway."

"I just bought my xbox 360 and I love it. I keep hearing the stories about the rings of death but I play for hours and the system does not overheat I just read the directions and it says to keep it in a open space not on a book shelf not in a cabinet. This is the best system out there right now the ps3 is good but not worth the money. I would suggest this system to anyone that wants a good gaming experience."

"If you want a next-gen console with the widest selection of games (sports, fps, action, etc.), I would recommend the XBOX Pro System. If you also want to play with friends and family online, I would recommend the XBOX 360 Pro System once again. Although the system runs loud and a little hot, the graphics are great and the selection of games beats the Wii or PS3. System is ready to run XBOX Live right out of the box and you even get a free month trial. Although it doesn't have an included HD DVD player, movies still look great on the progressive scan player. The sound is also amazing when I run the 360 through my home theater system with Dolby Digital 5.1 audio. If you want solid gaming, buy the 360. It may not have the bells and whistles of the PS3, but in my opinion it holds serve."

"I bought this system long time ago, before I bought my PlayStation3. At first I was satisfied with the console because it has more games available. The graphics are great no doubt. Now for the bad news. There are too many accessories to buy, therefore I would need to spend more money and I don't see that happening. Xbox Live can be good and bad, depending on how you see it. It's good because so many gamers are online, mainly Halo3. But,it's bad because you have to pay to play online. For me, I don't think it's worth paying for the online fee to play mainly ONE game, Halo3. From my perspective, if it weren't for Bungie (creators of Halo), Xbox360 would have been doomed."

"I dislike products in which the accessories are outrageous in cost. The XBox 360 is an amazing gaming colsole and more but it is irritating that games, controllers, etc. are so expensive. It is easy to set up and use as I am not a hugely technical person. A lot of fun to play and well worth the money."
