Amazing system for everyone 10/20/2007

What's great about it: Perfect on HD tvs, incredible games, easy to use controllers
What's not so great: Sometimes it doesnt work, makes a lot of noise

"I bought this product and at first I didn't know what to think. I started to play FIFA(great game) and I thought to myself," this is amazing." The graphics are incredible and the controller is wireless so you don't have to be tied up next to your tv. It works great on HD tvs because it has a cord for HD tvs and for regular tvs.
BUY IT!!!!!!!!!!!!"

What's great about it: X-Box live
What's not so great: Overheating

"I got my Xbox 360 last Christmas, and it was the best gift that I have ever gotten. Xbox live is far and above the best online gaming around. The Marketplace is awesome! It allows you to customize your themes and gamer pictures, allows you to download demos, and it even allows you to watch movies and movie trailers. The controllers are great! They seem to have a long battery life (I recommend getting the batteries and charger). I recommend the Xbox 360 for everyone. It is a little pricey, but not too bad."

What's great about it: processor speed, graphics, ease of use, compatibility
What's not so great: eats up electricity, but no more than PS3

"I recently bought my first 360, and I couldn't be more pleased. The speed at which it starts up, loads games, and moves between 360 screens is outstanding. The graphics are phenomenal. Bought for Halo 3, and it is just sick. The levels on campaigns load extremely fast, and Xbox Live is awesome. You will enjoy this purchase."

"I dont have a 360 but I have read alot about them and I have watched lots of videos and demos of games. The 360 blows the ps3 and the wii out of the water in terms of everything imaginable other then the blue tooth dvd player in the ps3. The reason I ranked the 360 a four star is because of the price. I am hoping that the price will drop a during this christmas so I can buy one, if not I will buy one anyway because it is the best gaming system out there right now."

"With a lot of time on my hands i decided to buy a gaming console. After researching the pro's and con's of each console i chose the 360 and couldn't be happier with my decision. With crisp graphics, clear sound, and endless entertain at my fingertips I never spend a moment bored. With Xbox live gamers can access demos, videos, pictures, etc. as well as playing against millions of other online players. A typical game has little replay value but with LIVE gamers can challenge their friends in multiplayer games."

What's great about it: 20 gig hardrive, usb ports, xbox live, best games, wireless
What's not so great: good chances of it overheating, or malfuntioning, then you will have to return it and wait for a new one. expensive

"this is the best system ever. the fact that it has halo 3 alone can make it the best. what system can you put music on? i dont know about the ps3, but i know you cant put it on a wii. you can also system link a 360 with a computer and get music off of it. xbox live is also very awesome, you can download videos, game demos, tv shows, and music vids, and you dont even have to pay for the silver account, which is what allows all of that. i have a wii, and i dont have one game that is replayable, if you like shooters, the 360 is definately for you. there are alot of other games too, especially since 360 has been out longer. this system also has awesome graphics, like i said, i have a wii and i have not seen too much improvement. as for the ps3 i dont even consider getting that because it is too expensive, and has hardly any good games, unless ofcourse you like sport games, which even 360 has that, or you want a cheap blue ray player. that is all the advice i know to give, the choice is yours. trust me, you will probably regret the wii, so save that $250 and build up another hundred, youll be glad you did."

Microsoft Gambled and Won 10/18/2007

What's great about it: Improved controllers, crazy power, a lot of games
What's not so great: Paid membership for Xbox Live

"At this point of the year, with Christmas coming up, and the hype over the PS3 and Wii over, I hope this review comes in handy for those who are considering which system to purchase. If you have read my review the Wii, you know that I own all 3 of the next gen consoles, and consider the Xbox 360 the best of all the systems. Here's why:

First of all, most people who are considering the 360, are deciding over the PS3, since the Wii is not really a gamer's console, and really, in a different class (I consider it lower). Compared to the PS3, I can honestly say, I see virtually no difference in terms of graphics. In fact, with games like Gears of War (a must have for all 360 owners), and Project Gotham Racing, I don't know how much better graphics can be. It is simply stunning. The wierd part is that I bought Madden '08 for the 360, and was given one for the PS3 as a gift, and the 360 version is better because it is 1080p compatible, while for some odd reason, the PS3 version is not.

Furthermore, and this is purely based on opinion, the Xbox 360 just seems and feels much more durable than the costly PS3. I always find myself feeling a bit uncomfortable moving the PS3 around.

Microsoft gambled to have the Xbox 360 hit the market before the PS3 despite it being "weaker" in terms of power. But because they did this, 360 owners are much happier with the selection of games. There are no shortage of games for the 360, while, I had to play Motor Storm for the PS3, which got real boring real fast, for almost a whole year before another game came out for the PS3.

A vast improvement from the 360 over the last Xbox, is the size and feel of the control. The behemoth Microsoft had for the original is scratched for a much smaller and comfortable 360 control.

Overall, I am most satisfied with the 360, and really, the only gripe I have is the fee for Xbox Live membership, which of course, is understandable, and I can't really complain about that. If it were free, the 360 would be a godsend."

"I recommend this game console that truely wants an excellent gaming experience with every game they play. If you have an HDTV, I would definitely also recommend you purchase either the component cable set or the HDMI cable for video. Playing games at 1080i resolution on the Xbox 360 is just astounding!"

"The xbox 360 is by far the best system I have laid my hands on. With xbox live access you can download and watch game / movie clips and trailers. Stunning visuals and plenty of power will keep you playing for hours.

The only downsides to this system is the lack of an HD DVD drive (available separately) and the lack of an HDMI output (available on the Elite system)."

"I bought this system for my husband last Christmas and he loves it! The graphics are amazing and he loves to play Xbox live. He's actually made some good friends on there! One con, after 8 months of playing it, the system broke and Microsoft repaired it free of charge.. but it took 6 weeks so hubby wasnt happy =("

Next Gen Gamer Requirement 10/14/2007

What's great about it: Life-like graphics, HDMI support, great catalogue of games
What's not so great: When playing games off a disc the sytem seems loud; no wi-fi right out the box

"After 1 year+ of debating weather I was going to jump into buying a 360 I was convinced by the arrival of Halo 3 and the ever-expanding list of titles that are soon to be released. Microsoft and its third party developers have made an excellent spread of games for this console and along with backward compatability I can play many of my old xbox games again. Don't think of this as just a video game console think of it as a a full-out entertainment system. Online gaming through Xbox live is a blast and the headset allows you to banter with the other players during many games. Short of not having wi-fi built into this system and the disc reader sounding being a bit loud I have found no flaw with this sytem. I look forward to getting on with playing Halo 3 with my friends who are now living in different states than me. Is this system worth purchasing? Yes, video games certainly are just for kids anymore."

What's great about it: Memory storage, online, wireless controller comes with starter package, graphics, nice size
What's not so great: cost, happens to rarely skip (maybe from high graphic resolution), strange controller (takes some getting used to)

"This system is a really nice improvement from the original XBOX which whenever I would play would always overheat and shut down. Luckily with this one I have not expierenced that problem yet. This system runs smoothly but here and there on a rare occasion skips. I am guessing it is from the high performance type of games played on the system such as Halo 3 online. The wireless controller was a nice touch to the system and the addition of USB ports. I would recommend the product to anyone who wants an updated system. I would offer this product and not the PS3 to anyone. I am very satisfied with this gaming console and the only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because of the rare lag it gets and the cost but of course it will cost that much because it is a very efficient and new system."
