"Honestly the hardware behind the system sucks, and yet it is one of my favorite things that I own. The games for it are great, and using Xbox Live is a wonderful experience. I have gone through three consoles in less than 6 months, but I still love the thing."

"this is still worth it. let alone let me say you need this for halo 3. the 360 is still better than the ps3 for the simple reason of xbox live. the online multiplayer and downloads and marketplace easily set this in front of the ps3 as well. never had an overheating problem."

"The 360 consoles with the HDMI port have a new motherboard with an extra video heat sink for additional cooling. This should put an end to most of the red ring of death problems (Hardware failure causes the green ring on the front to turn red). Microsoft does offer a 3-year warranty but it is limited to consoles that develop the red ring only. I recommend the $60 2-year replacement warranty just in case. The Xbox 360 has some of the best games out there and an online service that is unmatched. I currently have it hooked up to a Sony 55" lcd 720p/1080i and it is amazing. Highly recommended you won’t be disappointed.
NOTE: You have to purchase the Microsoft Audio Adapter $50 which allows HDMI video to be routed to the HDTV with the audio routed SEPERATLY to your home speaker system otherwise audio will only come from the TV."

"The games on this system are great fun and addicting. Rainbow 6, chromehounds have some great online matches to play with. Halo 3, ace combat 6, and call of duty 4 all look to be some games to get in the next 2 months. The only problem ive had is the system failing so i can give the system a 5 star rating yet the games are fun so it gets a good review from me"

"i bought this product around 2 years ago and i absolutly love it, i can hardly still go a day without playing it. The only downer is that on occasion it can freeze up but i guess that happens with all game systems. The games available for it are outstanding compared to the other consoles on the market currently"

"If you are looking to buy one of the three major game consoles, this is probably the safest bet. The price is reasonable and it has the most games as well as the most variety of games. I would recommend this system to anyone who is looking to buy only one of the 3 systems.
My only real negatives are that it's not fully backwards compatible with Xbox games and you have to pay to play against friends on Xbox live."

More than a game console

"This game console can do more than just play games! I download movies via Xbox Live Marketplace, and stream videos, music, and pictures, from my Media Center PC. I really like the ability to download movies, as having nothing to return is great. The quality of the movies is good and many movies are available in HD. Pricing is comprable to video rental stores, but expect to pay more for HD movies. Download times are long (especially for HD movies), but with the ability to have the 360 turn off automatically after completing a download, it's no big deal, as I'll just download during the night, and it'll shut off when the download is complete.
Oh yeah, the games look great on my 40 inch 1080p LCD HDTV!"

"I am not a fan of Nintendo or Sony really. I used to be Nintendo and Sony, then came the 360. I got it one year almost exactly after it came out. (To make sure all 1st system bugs were fixed,etc) And it became my best console. I love to play on it on the hdtv. It is outstanding. I think the only difference between it and the ps3 is that ps3 is blu ray. I think that the look just about the same in hd, and xbox has better games. Xbox has a better comfort controller, and etc. Well, this is a great product and i recommend to anyone in the video game console shopping mode."
