"There are a few factors involved in deciding which next gen system to buy. This is my favorite and I own all of the systems. The Wii has some very fun family style or group style games which appeal to all ages / genders. The Playstation 3 is the best system technically and would be the one to buy if you have high-definition and want the Blu-Ray player as it is currently the best / fastest Blu-Ray player on the market (overall). The PS3 is gorgeous if you have the extra money and again, want the high def Blu-Ray option.
My favorite for games is the Xbox 360. I would suggest to buy the Elite version however. This version only has a 20 gig hard drive while the Elite version has a 120 gig hard drive. If you play a lot and download demos/movies a lot you need the xtra space. The Elite version also has the upgrade of a HDMI space for High Definition TVs. I have the Elite version and with a HDMI cord used to attach to my HDTV it looks simply amazing!! If you don't own a HD TV buy the Xbox 360 Elite in case you buy one later.....it's cheaper than the PS3 and has a LOT more games. The graphics are almost as good as the PS3 and if you want a high def DVD player later, you can buy the HD-DVD player that attaches to the Xbox for only 180$ later, which I also own. I currently prefer the HD-DVD discs.
Overall, this is my favorite system of the 3 new ones. If you want a lot of fun, great looking games for the right price, buy this system."

"Wow.....Microsoft has done it. They have created a game system that makes others look pretty lame. I purchased my Xbox 360 about 18 months ago and have not put it down. I also own the other 2 next-gen game systems as well. Yes, i am a gamer and really prefer my Xbox 360. Its has a very large selection of games, not to mention exclusive games not found anywhere else. Hook it up and jump in to Xbox Live and play against the world! The wireless controller is also great and actually has a rumble feature!!! It just keeps getting better as time goes by. If you are undecided on what console to purchase, please take my recommendation and pick up an Xbox 360. Wether its for a 5 year old or 50 year old, it has such a diverse selection of games and features to satisfy anyones taste."

"The X-Box 360 is a master learning tool disguised as an elite game system. This system has everything for the beginner, intermediate, advanced and super-advanced. The outstanding graphics, speed and ingenuity of the games capture my imagination and more importantly my complete and undivided attention. Each game is a challenge - I am part of a team - I am an individual and how I do what I do will determine the outcome. Overall my thought process has advanced considerably and my ability to focus and stay-the-course is much keener and sharper . I highly recommend this product as a gift for the mind."

"The xbox 360 is great, Halo makes it amazing. I have had a problem with it though, I had had my xbox for about 9 months and mine experienced the Rings of Death, and from what I have heard it effects up to 33% of all the Xbox 360's. But Microsoft is taking the responsibility and offering a three year warranty, I think. But defently worth buying, would be better if it had HDMI built in, but nothing is perfect I guess."

"I just got my xbox 360 from best buy a few weeks ago and it works great. The set up is really easy just plug into the TV, to power, and your set and hooking to xbox live is just as simple. All you need is the xbox 360 wireless adapter that you can get from Best buy or a hard line Ethernet cable that connects right into the back of the system. This system is thoroughly impressive; I come from a computer gaming back ground and told myself I would never get a console. I could not help it any longer, after talking to the people at my local Best Buy about the console I had to get one. The xbox 360 is also a better investment than a computer and is easier to maintain. Not to mention the 1 year warranty from Microsoft Best Buy offers there own warranties that are a great value for people like me who carry my xbox over to my friend’s houses and have gaming parties all the time. I would highly recommend this system over any other; not only is it great for gaming you can link it up with your computer and put movies music and even chat with friends online with the xbox 360."

"Plugged this system into my new Sony HDTV and was just astonished with the quality of the picture and graphics on the games. I played Gears of War and MLB 2K7 so far, and the graphics are amazing. I really like the wireless controllers also. They work great and with my recharge kit the battery pack lasts for at least a week. Very happy I picked this over the Playstation 3."

This machine is awesome. It has amazing graphics and is fun for gamers of all levels. Whether you just want to have fun or you want to be #1, the X-box 360 brings it all to you. For the pepole who like Media, the X-box 360 has something for you too. The X-box 360 lets you connect to your computer and see all your photos, music, and videos in Windows Media Edition. What I like most about it is that it lets me play my favorite games online, showing me my rep and my experience. The X-box 360 also has cool wireless controllers and headsets, wich lets me play anywhere in the room. I think this would be a #1 on my list if I were you."

"The graphics for this console are great and the games for it right now are good and their are a lot of good exclusive to the 360 titles coming to the xbox 360 this holiday season, this is probably the best time to buy the xbox 360 with the line-up of great games coming up, also the xbox 360 is alsome because you can download movies (cost a certain amount of marketplace points to download) and demos of games and lots more in the xbox 360 marketplace located on the 360 dashboard, the dashboard also includes to see what your friends are doing, you can chat with them, play games with them via xbox live which is an amazing community of online play it's setup perfectly for you. some people that are wondering how to get xbox live this is how it works, you connect the ethernet cable included in this to your computer but for people who are to far to connect their 360 to near a computer then you need the wireless adapter which will connect to the computer wirelessly then you have to get a code at any store that sells games $10 will get you one month of xbox live $20 will give you 3 months and $50 will give you one year of xbox live, so xbox 360 is a great console personally no problems with mine remember make sure it has ventilating room and don't place on soft surface and enjoy the xbox 360 its your turn to jump in"

"I was a fan of the orgininal Xbox, and now I am a fan of the Xbox 360. It's got amazing HD graphics, and a good game lineup.
The only complaint that I had is that some of the backwards compatible (original) Xbox games have a problem with freezing in gameplay. This can be frustrating, but is not a deterent to using the console."
