What's not so great: Games still cost a lot, but they do for everyone platform

"I got it when if first came out for 400 dollars and that was still worth the money. But now a $250 nobody can go wrong buying one. On black Friday I bet the price will drop even more so it makes a good christmas present!"

What's great about it: Some of the best graphics you can get also cost less and has some good games
What's not so great: The Xbox live is sort of slow and takes stuff a long time to load

"I bought by Xbox from Best Buy. I also about a week later got a PS3 and a Wii now I am not a big gamer but i just mostly bought those for when friends are over. I have to say that the total hours of PS3 and Wii combined are about half of what I played the Xbox for. The Xbox 360 may not have as good of graphics as the PS3 but the games are alot better the Marketplace is really good. Now when you think about buying the Xbox 360 you really have 2 choices the Elite version or the regular. Here is a hint get the regular. You can buy a HTMI cable and the same amount of GiGS seperatly from the Hardware for less than the Elite. And I have played with the Elite on a better TV than I do at my house and it still looks the same. I would say that if you were in a need for more memory then buy it seperatly. If you are a movie watcher and get your movies from the Marketplace get a seperate 20 gig memory and just put music, TV shows, and movies on that. Have fun and enjoy the many new features that are coming with the Xbox 360."

What's great about it: great gaming console

"if you are looking for a strictly gaming console, the xbox360 will make you very happy. i think the key to choosing the right console for yourself is what you want to play. if online is not your thing and you want to watch Blu-Ray buy a ps3. if you dig motion controls buy the wii. 360 will be the best choice for someone looking fun and competitive gaming for both solo and online. but this is the most important thing...insure it...you really are risking your money if you dont. insurance is not that much and it will pay off...and to be honest bestbuy has the best warranty on the box...bestbuy has a better warranty then the manufacture themselves...i'm not kidding."

What's great about it: good games
What's not so great: pay for online,could get red rings

"i dont have this console yet, but im gonna get it tommorow morning. if ur looking for a console to buy go with the the 360, nice graphics, good games, good price, and nice online play. ive played this system before and i love playing halo 3, its very addicting and most people like playing this game. im a football fan( soccer) so i like playing fifa and planning to get it with the 360. dont listen to the people that say that it breaks down easily or u get the red rings easily. that only happens when ur playing with the system for to long, if ur 360 is heating up turn off and let it cool so u dont risk getting the 3 red rings,. u also got a 3 year warranty so theres no worry. i personally like the 360 controller better then the ps3, so if ur looking for a new sytme to get go with the 360."

"I've had my 360 since the day of release. It is an amazing system for the money because of the variety of games, xbox live functionality, store songs and listen in game. Obviously this is the most popular system because of halo 3 and buying the system just for that would be worth it. The only thing that is bad about it is the hardware failure. Which results in the red ring of death. I have sent my system in 4 times. It is a pain to keep shipping it out over and over. It is a free fix until the warranty runs out but im not sure when that is. I had heard previously that they extended them another 3 years but what happens after that? I guess if it breaks after it runs out then ill just buy an arcade system and use my hard drive. Microsoft needs to extend the warranty again or cover them until the next xbox/mircosoft game system comes out."

What's great about it: Price, Xbox Live, Game Library, Great Controller
What's not so great: No Blueray

"The Xbox 360 is currently the best game console on the market this generation. It's game library, controller, and online experience are greatly superior to those of the PS3, although the PS3 is quickly improving it's online experience. Personally, I find the games available on the 360 to be much better than those available on both the Wii and the PS3, and with games like Fable II and Gears of War 2 coming soon it seems like this will only improve. Some games coming for the Wii (Wario Land: Shake It) and the PS3 (Little Big Planet) also seem interesting, but they do not quite excite me as much as those upcoming for the 360. Another point for the 360 is it's controller, it's comfortable, wireless (like everyone elses) and the buttons just feel like they're in the right place. It's a great improvement over both the original Xbox's controllers and much better than the PS3 controller (I'm really not a fan of the new R2 and L2 buttons on the PS3). The only real advantage the PS3 has for those only looking to buy a single console is the Blueray player. High Definition movies are a great experience, and the lack of Blueray in the 360 is disappointing, but it does make the console a much cheaper buy. Overall I think the 360 is the console to purchase if you are only going to buy a single console, and are a mature or serious game player."

What's not so great: Bulky, no wireless connection,

"This is a very good buy for recreational gamers. It does have a small hard drive but that is enough for most people. The system itself is a little bulky and for some games the loading time is long. There is no built in wireless connection to the internet like the Wii and PS3, so you will have to buy an accessory if you want to connect it wirelessly."

What's great about it: Halo 3, Xbox Live, Gears of War, 20 gig hard drive
What's not so great: Red Rings of Death, you have to buy several accessories, no Metal Gear Solid 4, they dont make alot HD movies no free

"The Xbox 360 is fun to play, but you need to buy an internet connecton to play online, there's a 20 gigabyte hard drive which is very spacious for downloading movies and tv shows. If you're going to buy an Xbox 360 i assure you to get a cooler first, It avoids the Red Rings of Death. I was upset because it did'nt have Metal Gear Solid 4 , but Xbox has Halo 3 which is better. Overall, it is a good system, but it has it's ups and downs. I would reccomend it if you want a cheaper system. Afterall, Xbox 360 and the PS3 kick the Wii's Nintendo butt. :)"

What's great about it: great games, best online functionality of any system, great interface, great 1st party games, great customer service
What's not so great: 3 red lights problem,but has been fixed, opportunity cost (not getting a PS3) = bluray

"The xbox 360 has been an awesome gaming platform for me ever since I got it on launch day 2005. I had a brief problem with the 3 red lights with the very first batch of xbox 360s, but it didnt happen for about 2 years after I bought it. This welcomed me to the amazing Microsoft customer support, and they quickly got a brand new xbox 360 in my hands. They even did it when my warranty was expired because it was past the date of my warranty. They want their customers to be happy that much. I'm a business student, and they know how to keep their customers happy. I've had to deal with Sony's, and they are sticklers about the fine print. Microsoft will go aorund it if they think it will keep a life long customer, which they have with me. I got one a few months ago at the $300 price point (premium) when the price went down. Then they released that a 60GB would be sold for $250!! man thats a great deal, and would definitely recommend it. Some people say that Playstation 3s online service is free and Xbox 360s cost like 50 bucks a year, but I've played the same game for both PS3 and Xbox online and have seen great differences. The Xbox live service is for people who truely love playing online, and want great service (firmware updates). Lag also seems to be much less on 360 than PS3 IMO. With online functionality, you get what you pay for. There are also some awesome exclusive games for the xbox 360. Best system I've seen to date, and the hardware issues have been resolved. 250$ is a steal. Please dont spend that same amount of money on a Wii."

"I have 2 xbox360 and both of them got the 3rl problem. I waited for ps3 to release first but 360 came first that's why I don't have any choice. Next thing I will going to buy is Ps3. I hope that they will permanently fix the 3rl problem"

"great system, i love the graphics, online play is amazing, a lot of good games and many pretty cheap, only downfall is if you want the full experience you would need to buy live, a head set, rechargeable batterys a wireless adapter unless your fine running a UTP cable from your modem to your 360."
