What's great about it: Fast action shooter, camo for guns, wide variety of guns, wide variety of ranks.
What's not so great: No character camo and too many prestiges.
"I think this is an outstanding game, but sadly like every other popular game GoW, RBSV, Halo 3 this game soon got boring and prestige got it boring quicker. I'm currently on prestige 4 with a k/d ratio of 2.38 and I don't feel like prestiging anymore and I also think like RBSV you should be able to customize your character."

What's great about it: Length, Graphics, Gameplay, Online play
What's not so great: No Offline multiplayer option
"Ok...first things first. Everyone griping about the length of the game, here is an easy way for you to extend the game play...PLAY AGAIN!!!!
Why does every game have to involve 80 hours of playtime for you to enjoy it? This was the PERFECT length. Play it. Beat it. Play it again at a higher level. Wash...Rinse...Repeat.
The game play was amazing. The graphics are SICK. The storyline is intense and relevant. I mean when was the last time a main playable character DIED in the middle of the game? Brilliant!
The online play is so addictive I think I need a support group. The fact that there's no offline multiplayer option SUCKS but how about I JUST realized that today and I've had the game for months. This game is just that good. Enjoy the rush and stop trying to make every game into Final Fantasy. You want a longer game...go play a RPG."

"This was a great game, but there is no multiplayer at all unless you buy another xbox and play on xbox live, my boyfriend and I both love playing online but we don't have the money to go out and buy another xbox just so we can play this game online together..not worth it...should have a multiplayer campaign and multiplayer like halo3, but otherwise it was a really fun game."

"this game is the best xbox live game ever. You go up rankings unlock new guns and stuff with guns it never gets boring the only reason you would stop playing it is because your xbox live membership ran out. Also just the regualr game is ok i have not finished it yet but it looks really fun."

What's great about it: Awesome graphics, great story, great weapons

"This game is great for anyone who likes shooters. The game was very short but it had great graphics and was awesome. i played it for about 2 hours a day and beat it 1 da before itd be a week that i had bought it. It is also pretty easy so it is great for anyone who is just looking to have fun while playing."

What's great about it: everything
What's not so great: dying online but still tons of fun
"this game blew everyone away. halo came out and people got sick of it wayyyyy toooo easy. halo was big for the first week and thats it. call of duty 4 came out and destroyed every game that was out. the story line is good, not too long, but still good. online is unbelievable. nothing like online with halo or gears. you join games quickly and don't have to worry about all the noob deaths. you own the noobs in this game. this game right now has so many people on it. about 95% of my friends online are always on this game."

What's great about it: Graphics, controls, online play, gun customization, ranking system... the list goes on.
What's not so great: Can't customize characters like in Halo 3, pristige modes all the same.
"This game was huge! I was blown away at how much fun it is. Halo 3 came out, we all fiddled with that for a while, then Call of Duty 4 comes along and you ask yourself why you bought Halo 3. Great online play with the option of customizing your guns from attachments to camo types. there are two bad things about it: the pristige mode idea is a great idea but its the same thing over and over again when you do it. Lets just say its more meaningful when you rank up in Halo 3. When you see a level 53 in the room you want to go hide. But in Call of Duty, it does not matter if you are a pristige 10 level 55, because anyone can make it that far, cuz theres no ranking down. But other than that, EVERYthing is flawless. great game... now we wait and see how Rainbow Six Vegas 2 compares."

What's not so great: The campaign mode is short...
"Even though the single player mode doesn't last very long, this game is still one of the best games I have ever played. The online multiplayer mode is unbelievable and it never gets old. You can play it for hours at a time, everyday and not get bored of it. There are all kinds of weapons, which is why I don't know why that guy down there said there wasn't enough weapons for the cons??? Also, there is a multiplayer mode that is not online... so he doesn't know what he's talking about..."

"First off the graphics are outstanding and the gameplay is quite good as well. There are however a couple issues that make me a little startled with all the perfect reviews this game has gotten. First off, the campaign is 7 hours long at best, at best. Myself and a friend did it in just under 6 without any roadblocks at all. More importantly is that there is no offline multiplayer, which i know that online playing is great and all but some of us still have real live friends that we like to spend time with and play videogames. Also, there are no bots in the game so other than the campaign you have nothing to do with this game but online. Lets be honest here folks.... games for the N64 had bots and multiplayer abilities... not to mention games that lasted longer than a days work shift. Especially with the economy in the current state that its in we need to be less tolerant of these giant mega-companies putting out C grade games and charging 60 bucks for them. The game was alot of fun but since it lacks neccessary features of games that exsisted 15 years ago I cant help but be a little upset that the masses are eating this up for the price they charge. If you dont do the online thing than rent this one, youll beat it in one sitting."

"This game is probably one of the best shooters on the market. Not only does it have great game play and graphics it also runs at a buttery 60 frames per second. From riding in a AC130 Spooky Gunship to sneaking around Chernobyl in a Ghillie Suit. Play 4 player split screen or hop on live and play your friends with dozens of weapons and perks to choose for. If you have this game then good for you...but if you don't...GO BUY IT NOW.."

"This is one of the best games ever but Iin my opinion is not better than COD4. The reason for this is because it does not take as much skill to play.
The graphics are great. The detail on everything is amazing the realistic effects are above all other games. The campiegn is great and adds a wide variety of battle fields and weapons. The achievments in the campien are also very fun to get. Some of the fun ones are destroying all the TV's during the speach. Other ones are beat the sniper level without being spoted.
The controls are very easy to catch on to. The controls are similar to Call of Duty 2s controls. The A button is jump, The B button is crouch and when held it allows you to lay down, the X button is reload, the Y button is change weapons, the RB button is throw grenade, the LB button is throw special grenade, the RT button is fire, the LT button allows you to aim down your site (ADS), the up button is night vision the right button on the D-pad is call UAV,Airstrike or helicopter, and the start button is pause the game.
The extra things are really cool. Some of the things are Helicopters, UAV, Airstrikes, golden guns, and atachments like Reflex sites, ACOG scopes and Silencers."
