What's great about it: EXCELLENT GRAPHICS, SOUND EFFECTS
What's not so great: INTERNET CONNECTIVITY
"Each time the game is recreated it seems to get better. I have COD 3 & COD 4. COD 3 was a great game but COD 4 upped the ante. I am excited to see what they will come up with for COD 5."

Outstanding Multiplayer

What's great about it: Amazing story, even better multiplayer
What's not so great: no 2 player online play or co-op
"This game is perhaps the best online experience i've ever had and that's coming from somebody who's played halo for the past 5 years. The campaign is amazing and the graphics in this game are perhaps the best i've seen. This game truely shows the potential of the Xbox 360. Online multiplayer is really addicting and is, in my opinion, better than Halo 3. This game is a must by for all 360 owners"

What's great about it: Great graphics, realism, awesome multiplayer
What's not so great: Absolutely non
"Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare is the best $50 I've ever spent. The game is brilliant I am a big online multiplayer gamer and it is great in this game, I enjoy it every time I play it. But the singleplayer was well worth it by itself. Overall this game is great and I would recommend it to anyone who has an Xbox 360."

What's great about it: Amazing Graphics, Amazing Gameplay, Just Amazing
What's not so great: Not being able to bring a second person in live from one console.
"The game itself is an amazing 1st person shooter. Great story, dealing with possible events. Great game play, very realistic from the kick of the guns to how many times you can get hit. The Live experience is outstanding, it makes you want to keep playing in order to unlock everything.

Great fun

What's great about it: awsome online play
What's not so great: i dont want to play with my children in the room =P and with the multi-player dont care about the single player portion.
"Well, i cant speak much for the single player aspect of the game, but the online multi-player is loads of fun. the progression of unlocking the weapons and challenges keeps me coming back. i used to be a major computer FPS player, couldnt really get into halo, cause i couldnt bring myself away from a mouse and keyboard, but call of duty 4 broke me of that, and i now play with a controller =P only thing about the game <my personal choice> is not playing when my children are in the room, since the game does have a mature rating and there is blood and violence, and my 3 year old asked, "why are you killing those guys?" overall a great game, lots of fun and it keeps me coming back."

"This game is simply amazing. This is the only game on the market that, in my mind, can compete with Halo 3. The online play is the best I have seen out of a game yet. It takes more skill to be good than most games. There are no questionable kills or "noob combos" which is a mega plus. The gameplay is also great and very realistic. The guns are fantastic"

Best Shooter Ever?

"At first, I was skeptical to buy a modern warfare game from a series which had previously only made WWII games (Call of Duty 1 through 3.) Once I had bought it, I was immediately glad I did. There was no time taken for me to "learn to like it."
The first mission entitled "Crew Expendable" (something all gamers love to hear) plunges you right into the single player experience. The graphics are simply unbelievable. You are dropped by helicopter onto a ship in the middle of a storm. The guys over Activision spared no details as the rain is pouring onto the metal base of the freighter. Additionally, the boat is rocking from side to side constantly, giving an extremely eerie feeling unparalleled in any other games. From there, the single player only gets better. The game designers worked very hard to think of the best location for enemies. Combine good placement with great AI, and enemies become more than just human targets, and each one can be a challenge. The visuals only increase in quality, ranging from huge explosions to rabid dogs. Overall, this game is one of the best single player experience from a first person shooter ever.
Now, on to the real star of the show: the multi player. First of all, the connection system seems like it was made for Xbox Live. Connection is almost always smooth, and usually you can get into a game within seconds. In multi player you can customize your loadout. This means you can start with a Barrett .50 cal sniper rifle and a silenced pistol, or given a few choice perks you can run around with a shotgun and a machine gun. The multi player action is incredibly intense. One of my favorite features is the ability to shoot through light cover and even some walls. This means the nobody is ever completely safe, and you must always be on your toes. The multi player encourages doing well over "achievement farming" (doing certain tasks to get gamer points) which has become all too prevalent in Xbox Live games recently.
My recommendation: buy it. This game is unparalleled in so many different areas of gameplay. Once in a while a game comes along that sets an entirely new standard for video games. This is that game."

"The story mode in this game is amazing, unlike most games like the Halo series. Online is the best ever. There is no other shooting game out there that is better than COD 4. Halo 3 doesn't even come close to COD 4. THIS GAME IS THE BEST EVER AND YOU MUST BE CRAZY NOT TO GET IT, and Halo 3 sucks really badly."

What's great about it: Real life gun names, all weapons are real. Great graphics,sounds and story line. Mainly the whole game is perfected
