What's great about it: Graphics are good. Storyline is complex. Multitude of weapons.
What's not so great: The multiplayer maps are too small and cannot play with others against comoputer-controlled terrorists
"This is by far the best shooting game so far!!! Graphics are very good, the storyline is complex and interesting. You have a multitude of weapons to pick from.
The only downside is that in multiplayer mode, you cannot play with other against computer-controlled terrorists (like a multiplayer arcade version). You can only play against other players which makes it less fun. Also, the multiplayer maps are way too small. The quality of the game makes up for this drawback."

What's great about it: graphics, online, storymode.
What's not so great: no vehicles, 1 player campaign
"Call of Duty 4 is a great game. The graphics are great. the storyline is fantastic. Plus the online is the best ever for a game. In the campaign you fight as a british sas member or us Marince corpes. Missions can be cargo ship invasionc to a storming up in the capital city of Irag to capture a terroist. the graphics are simply amazing this game is so fun. Only three problems with it two of them i listed in cons. To play on veteran is really hard. took me two and a half weeks to beat veteran. But the online is the thing that sets Call of Duty 4 apart from the rest its so fun. not big maps like halo and 18 people on the map 9 per team. you run into every player basicially in the span of 5-10 minutes. It is so fun !!!! Personally its my favorite game ever."

"This ticks me off so much that this doesn't have 5 stars. Why not?! It's one of the best Call of Duty games ever made and it will certainly be better than Call of Duty: World at War which doesn't look that great. Hate to say it but WW2 games are pretty lame. Call of Duty 6 will expand the horizon that Call of Duty 4 already set. People, don't be lame and give this 5 stars for God's sake."

"This is one of the best games I have ever played, hands down, and I've played all of them. The gameplay is insane, with a great selection of weapons to choose from and ways to complete a mission. The best feature in this game is the online mode, which allows you to advance in rank while obtaining new weapons and "power-ups", giving you a competitive edge and a reason to play online. It has a huge online population, so there are always games open, and there are also many different game modes in which to play. Although the online play is great, solo play is also amazing. From running through the marches in radiation-infected territory to sniping an enemy with a .50 cal, it has it all. I would recommend this game to anyone, regardless of what you may think about COD. Great Buy."

This game is so addictive, you lose all track of time playing it, entranced by the stunning graphics, in depth story line, awsome weapons, and the fun of blowing up your friends online. Call of Duty 4 is by far the best of the Call of duty series, and it is a nice change from the repetitive WWII Call of Duty games. Call of Duty 4 truely lives up to it's title of game of the year. Even if you don't like first person shooter games, I would still strongly recomend you to buy this game. I can not praise Call of Duty 4 enough. Call of Duty 4 is a masterpiece of games and truely one of the, if not the greatest game of all times."

What's not so great: As with any game there are some game play quirks one my or may not like
"This is by far the best game released to date. The single player campaign is so engrossing it makes it really hard to put the controller down, the amount of brain power that went into the details of the campaign environments, cut scenes, game play and story line boggles the mind. And that isn't even taking into account the multiplayer aspect of this game, which is spot on. This is one of the first first person shooter games on the 360 where I was able to adjust the controller to a point where I didn't feel like I was playing in sand......and the features, so many that not only is it almost impossible to stop playing, it definately keeps you coming back for more...."

"This game is far beyond its time. I would say its the game of the centery sience Galaga! It features amazing gameplay on or offline. Me and my friends played alot of Halo 3 well atleast COD 4 came out. This is my favorite game of all time. The graphics are so realistic. Like one time me and my friend were messing around crawling on the ground and i came appon a gas tank. To my surprise it even had a warning label on it! They took great care in the making of this game. AMAZING!!!"

What's not so great: Seems to fast, Campaign may be short
"This game is one of the best games available for the XBOX 360. The game has everything great achievements, fast paced game play, and enthralling story. That said sometimes it seems to move to fast, it barely seems that a firefight started that it is over, this is made up for with the frequency of them. The AI behaves well and acts appropriate for the situation, that is the enemy AI though, your teamates primarily the main characters will charge into a fight guns blazing due to the fact that they cannot die without a prescripted sequence, this includes running into your shots. Those issues are minor though and the game is a stellar performer, with a large and diversified online community via LIVE you can have fun for hours. I whole heartedly recommend this game."

What's great about it: Good Campaign, Great Online, Lots of Online Playlists
What's not so great: Almost to realistic, Cant play multiplayer online with 2 people on 1 console
"If you want to buy a shooter game, there are really 2 options:Halo and COD4. If your okay at shooter games and like something that is forgiving and interesting, Halo is your game. However, if you want something for an experienced person who wants a realistic games in real war situations, you want COD. HOwever, personally i like halo. Its a fun game where you can play with your friends online and fool around and still win. In COD however, you need to play serious, or you wont survive. Halo is a more unrealistic legendary game that promises a great time with your friends. The only bad thing about COD online is that people are REALLY good and if you get caught from behind, your dead. You cant go behind a corner and huck a plasma up and get a triple kill. Also, you cant play with a friend at your house online. BUt overall it is still a great game online and honestly both games satisfy me but Halo gives me a better experience where i can laugh and fool around."

"This was an ok game but the game kept freezing. When i waqs playing my friend my screen froze and so he beat me. I got the ps3 and the call of duty for it and its so much better. No freezes. For the ps3 the graphects are double times better so i would recommend ps3 version rather than xbox"

"This is probaly one of the best games i have ever owned in my FPS collection, 10x better than Halo 3. The A.I is very Challenging and the Graphics are very realistic. The Characters have outstanding voices and i love them so much. I Have probaly played this game thousands of times because its so good and the multiplayer is even better. Nice level designs, Nice Story, Good Guns to Choose from, Perks, A.I. like i said everything is a PRO. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!"
